   A word of warning: after chapter 150 or so the translation takes a nosedive from pretty good to barely edited mtl. Suddenly terms change, pronouns and grammar are all over the place, sentences become much simpler in structure, and the TL can’t even get a dialogue to flow naturally. Imagine someone calls you an idiot, and you respond by asking why they called you a buffoon. You’ll find examples like that in several chapters. I assume the problem lies with homophones, but those things should be caught in editing.

   Between 360 and 361 there’s a note that chapters have been reuploaded with fixed translations.
   If you call those fixed how bad were the originals?

   Anyway I’ll still buy a vip 5 when I reach the end of free chapters, since I don’t want to wait a year until they unlock.

   I’m not sure if I’ve ever read a cultivation story so well up my alley. Probably due to cultural differences, the humour in Chinese novels is more often a miss than a hit for me, there are only a few that manage to consistently make me LOL, but this one does it. It’s light-hearted, just as I often like my stories, and it’s quite refreshing that the MC actually has powerful backers for once, allowing him to kill his enemies without too much restraint. The heroines are charming and interesting, some even have quite decent depth and character development. The MC is awesome: he’s a total scoundrel, a casanova whose glib tongue is skilled in both teasing and soothing, but he’s also badass and OP, and of course, willing to challenge the heavens for those he loves – in short, he’s the type of MC whose ability to attract and handle a harem doesn’t really stretch my suspension of disbelief at all. Some of the heroines are quite the jealous sort, and he has to really rack his brain to soothe them. The story is heavily romance-focused, there’s lots of flirting and headpats and even sex (though those scenes are skipped, it’s enough to know that it happens).

   My only major problem with this story is that the translation quality is meh. I’ve read worse, but no self-respecting professional translator/editor would release translations of this quality. Since they have a license and are charging money for this, this is an official translation, so I’d expect better quality than what I’m used to seeing in fan translations.

   I really want to read this, the only thing that is making me hesitant is the Tsundere tag on NovelUpdates. I’m not really a fan of tsunderes (just personal opinion), can someone please tell me if it is overbearing in this novel and would make someone who dislikes tsunderes not want to read it?
