Then, an earth-shaking roar echoed as a massive creature with fiery red wings appeared in the air!

In an instant, Chen Nian erected a barrier. But to his surprise, the fallen Dragonite threw itself in front of the attack, shielding them.

A deafening explosion followed, leaving Dragonite severely injured as it crashed to the ground.

Enraged by Salamence’s assault on its child, Dragonite’s once-calm eyes turned blood-red.

To touch a dragon’s reverse scale is to invite death!

Dragonite, now in a frenzy to protect its offspring, completely disregarded its injuries. With a furious roar, it charged at Salamence, slamming into it with enough force to send the opposing dragon reeling.

Salamence, provoked by the attack, retaliated with another Hyper Beam, firing it straight at Dragonite.

Dragonite responded in kind, unleashing its own Hyper Beam.

The two colossal beams collided mid-air, triggering a devastating explosion.

The shockwaves from the battle between two Champion-tier Pokémon affected even Jiang Shuying. Her face paled, and her slender frame trembled. If not for leaning against Chen Nian, she might have collapsed.

“Chen Nian, run…!”

“I—I’ll hold them off here…”

“You? Hold them off?”

Chen Nian couldn’t help but smirk at her words.

“Two Champion-tier Pokémon are fighting. What exactly can a defenseless girl like you do to stop them?”

“Did you think they’d be distracted by your beauty?”

Seeing him joke at a time like this, Jiang Shuying nearly cried in frustration. She shoved him hard.

“How can you joke around now?! This mess is my fault, not yours! Just go—!”

“I… I’ll stay behind…”

“I don’t have the habit of abandoning girls in danger and running away alone.”

Chen Nian’s expression turned calm again as he looked at her.

“Meeting me today must be fate.”

“After all, a battle like this isn’t something you see every day.”

Jiang Shuying didn’t understand his words, but when she saw him step forward fearlessly, panic surged through her.

She tried to rush forward and pull him back—but Chen Nian had already tossed a Poké Ball.

“Come out, Necrozma!”

Jiang Shuying stared blankly at the sky.

A creature she had never seen before floated before her.

Clad in pitch-black armor, its mere presence exuded an overwhelming pressure that threatened to make her faint just from looking at it.

“These two are too noisy.”

“Make them calm down—but don’t kill them.”

Following his command, Necrozma teleported high into the sky.

It raised its two fearsome claws—and in an instant, two violet energy blades shot forth.

Necrozma’s attack was something far beyond what mere Champion-tier Pokémon like Dragonite and Salamence could withstand.

In the next second, the two renowned dragon-types were struck down effortlessly.

The already-injured Dragonite lost consciousness immediately, crashing to the ground.

Salamence, however, still clung to a sliver of awareness…
