Chapter Twenty-Four: Shirakawa Miwa
Shirakawa Miwa’s steps faltered, her heart stirred by an elusive touch. The image of Naoko Omon’s submissive, almost blissful demeanour replayed in her mind, stirring a complex whirl of emotions. Lin Yuan watched her retreating figure, a sly smile tugging at his lips, his eyes glinting with cunning. Her resolve is wavering, he thought, sensing her vulnerability—her self-doubt and yearning for affection were chinks in her armor.
“Instructor Shirakawa,” he called, his voice low and beguiling, “are you truly content to keep suppressing yourself? You crave love, attention, yet you lock your heart away. Don’t you wish… to taste true joy?” Her body trembled, her breath quickening, her cheeks flushing deeper. His words ignited a long-buried spark, her suppressed desires spreading like wildfire. “I… I…” she stammered, her reason battling her body’s reluctance to flee.
Lin Yuan, seizing the moment, patted Naoko’s shoulder. “Assist her,” he murmured. Naoko’s eyes sparkled with excitement as she glided to Shirakawa Miwa’s side, her hand resting gently on her shoulder. “Instructor Shirakawa,” Naoko’s voice was soft, laced with allure, “I was once like you, stifling my desires, afraid to face them. But Master showed me true happiness, true freedom.”
Shirakawa Miwa quivered, her fingers releasing the door handle as she turned, her eyes clouded with confusion and yearning. “Can I… really do this?” she whispered, fear mingling with hope. Naoko’s touch grazed her cheek, her tone tender. “Of course. If you choose, Master will grant all you desire.” Shirakawa Miwa’s gaze grew hazy, her defences crumbling under the weight of her awakened longing.
Lin Yuan’s smile widened, rising to welcome his new “sheath.” But as Shirakawa Miwa caught sight of him, clarity snapped back. With a startled cry, she bolted from the room. Lin Yuan froze, baffled. What just happened?

Shirakawa Miwa fled the office, her heart pounding, her cheeks still aflame. The scene she’d witnessed haunted her, a mix of shame and bewilderment swirling within. Muttering to herself as she wandered, she whispered, “What was I doing? How could I nearly… No, I can’t!” Her aimless steps carried her through the city, her thoughts a tangled mess.
She had always been rational, disciplined, and cautious in matters of the heart. Yet Lin Yuan’s words had unlocked a hidden door within her, exposing her deep-seated desire for love and recognition. But not like this, she thought, recoiling from the path she’d nearly taken. Unconsciously, she arrived at a quiet park and sank onto a bench, hands clasped tightly, staring blankly ahead.
Her mind was a battlefield—part of her couldn’t deny the strange thrill Lin Yuan’s temptation had sparked, while her reason screamed that it was wrong. “What should I do?” she murmured, lost in her turmoil.
A woman with short purple hair approached, dressed in a sleek black office suit, exuding a manager’s poise and a magnetic charm. Her eyes held a cryptic glint, her smile faintly knowing, as if she could peer into souls. “You seem troubled, miss,” she said, her voice gentle yet compelling. Shirakawa Miwa looked up, an inexplicable calm washing over her. After a moment’s hesitation, she nodded. “Yes… I’m struggling with something.”
The woman smiled warmly, settling beside her. “If you don’t mind, share your burden. I might offer clarity.” Shirakawa Miwa paused, then poured out a vague account of the day’s events, omitting explicit details. The woman listened, her eyes gleaming with understanding. “I see,” she said, nodding. “You’re not rejecting affection—you fear losing control, don’t you?”
Shirakawa Miwa blinked, then nodded slowly. “Yes… I’ve never been in such a situation. I don’t know what to do.” The woman’s smile was reassuring. “Everyone faces such moments. Desire isn’t the enemy; fear of it is. If you’re willing, I can take you somewhere to ease your turmoil.” Shirakawa Miwa hesitated. “Can it truly help?” The woman’s eyes shimmered mysteriously. “Trust me, you’ll find answers.”
After a moment’s thought, Shirakawa Miwa nodded, sensing the woman offered guidance she desperately needed. Rising, the woman extended a hand. “Come with me.” Shirakawa Miwa took it, following her from the park through winding streets to an aged building. A modest sign at the entrance read Kishinkai.
