Moments later, Yun Qinyue arrived, spotting Liu Mei’s anxious pacing. “Aunt Mei,” she called softly, concerned about lacing her voice.

He can’t stay confined to the forbidden grounds forever, can he?” Slyly steering the topic, she probed further. Yun Qinyue smiled. “Elder Sister has decided to share Lin Yuan’s Pure Yang energy with promising disciples to boost their cultivation, but only with his consent.” Liu Mei’s eyes gleamed. “Qinghuan’s wise to see that. He shouldn’t be a tool.” Not for one alone, she thought, her ambitions stirring.

Yun Qinyue nodded, relieved. “Exactly. Elder Sister tasked me with clarifying this.” Liu Mei sighed, her expression intricate. “I understand. I’ll explain to Nianyao when she wakes.” Yun Qinyue reassured her, “Aunt Mei, Nianyao will be fine.”
