Chapter Four: The Hypnosis Attribute

Having reviewed Tanaka Hajime’s attribute panel, Lin Yuan was certain: he had indeed crossed into a forbidden world of risqué tales. The revelation stunned him, yet a singular resolve burned within—plunder attributes and amass strength.

On the platform, Tanaka droned on about his “intimacy guidance” theories, while the students below stood entranced, their vacant gazes betraying his hypnotic sway. Lin Yuan sneered. Such crude hypnosis dares to flaunt itself before me? Without hesitation, he moved, a blur of motion, appearing on the platform in an instant. Before Tanaka could react, Lin Yuan struck, his palm slamming into the man’s chest. A surge of force pierced through, and Tanaka’s eyes bulged as blood sprayed from his mouth. He crumpled, lifeless, to the floor.

The students remained oblivious, their stupor unbroken by the violence. Lin Yuan ignored them, crouching beside the body to plunder its attributes. 「Plunder successful. The Plot attribute intrigued him most. A special attribute—my first. Curious, he activated it. Instantly, the entire storyline of Hypnotic Guidance flooded his mind, vivid and intricate. A wry smile curved his lips. “Truly a forbidden world, brimming with audacious twists.”

He reviewed the remaining attributes, shaking his head. “These are as scandalous as expected from such a realm,” he mused. Yet, some held promise. “Cuckold, if raised to gold tier, could shatter the resolve of a Spirit Transformation cultivator. Hypnosis and Mind Alteration, elevated sufficiently, might sway even mighty practitioners.” A sudden realisation struck. If I enhance Hypnosis to gold, could I not turn the tables on Gu Qinghuan?

Hatred for Gu Qinghuan simmered within him, restrained only by her overwhelming power. Now, a path to vengeance glimmered. He imagined hypnotising her, reducing her to a cauldron, forcing her to endure the torment of control and exploitation she had inflicted upon him. His eyes flashed with ruthless glee, his fists clenching until his knuckles whitened, as though he could crush her image in his grasp. She’ll taste her own medicine.

Yet, he sobered quickly. Elevating a white-tier Hypnosis to gold demanded vast experience—an arduous task. I must roam this world, seizing attributes and experience swiftly. Resolve hardened within him.

Glancing at the hypnotised students, he recalled the Hypnotic Guidance plot, a plan forming to accrue experience. He stripped Tanaka’s corpse of its clothes, donning them himself, and stowed the body in his system inventory. Then, activating Hypnosis, he unleashed a wave of influence across the gymnasium. The students, already dazed, trembled under its touch, their eyes growing hollower, as if their souls had fled.

Satisfied, Lin Yuan cleared his throat, his voice ringing with authority. “Forget what you heard before. Heed my commands now. My words are absolute, never to be defied. First, I am your new intimacy instructor; all such matters involve me alone. Second, males must harbour no desires for females—violation brings punishment. Third, females shall hold only me in their hearts, forbidden from private contact or affection with other males. Your bodies and loyalties are mine, ready for my service. Fourth, all females shall adore me, vying to please me and taking pride in my presence.”

His gaze swept the crowd, a lord surveying his domain. As one, the students bowed, their voices mechanical. “Yes, Instructor.” Lin Yuan nodded, a spark of triumph in his eyes. This world is mine to shape.
