Greek Mythology: I open a treasure chest at Olympus - Chapter 126
Chapter 126: Athena’s Surprising Words
“My eldest son, Mores, is indeed fate.”
“You who have not experienced the age of obscurity will not know his terrifying, the eternal nightmare of the gods.”
Turning back to the path of the underworld, Nyx’s eyes were filled with reminiscence.
“And how was this terrible creature sealed into a deep sleep?” Apollo asked in a low voice.
“Don’t you already have the answer in your heart?” Nyx looked at him with a faint smile.
Both of them spat out a name at the same time.
“Chaos!”
“The entire age of obscurity was an age of Chaos and fate. The end result was that fate was sealed, and chaos fell into a deep sleep. The so-called King of Gods was the jailer who guarded fate.”
“So you should not care too much about Zeus. He is not even a complete jailer. How can he compete with you?” She said with a light laugh.
Apollo gave her a blank look: “Why do you want to omit the process and tell me the result directly? I think the so-called hiding era is not just such a simple binary confrontation.”
Under the dark night, Nyx smiled lightly and did not say anything.
Apollo felt more and more that she was full of mystery.
Fate, who could only compete with Chaos, only her eldest son. She was only the daughter of Chaos.
And what level of strength had she reached?
Apollo also felt that Nyx’s attitude towards him was also indirect, a little too close.
Like old friends who had interacted before.
The duo returned to the dark realm, where Astraea and Hecate greeted Apollo.
After warming up with them and relieving the exhaustion after the big battle, Apollo set off alone on the road back to Olympus.
Olympus remained the same.
But when Apollo stepped on the home of the gods, the gods who met him, one by one, were respectful and cautious, as if they were greeting their king.
More careful than before to face Zeus.
The amazing battle on the outskirts of the underworld had spread to all the gods, witnessed the rout of Zeus, and although Zeus was still the King of Gods now, the gods up and down Olympus already knew who was the true King of Gods of Olympus.
“What a bunch of wallflowers,” Apollo said about these gods.
“I can’t blame them. After all, our Father God has never been a qualified King of God, and we naturally cannot be loyal to him.” A peaceful voice sounded in Apollo’s ears.
Golden eyes gazed over, under the brilliant sunlight, at Athena’s flawless face with the trademark smile, long golden hair reflecting the bright glory, standing still not far away.
The Goddess of wisdom did not wear the usual set of armor but changed the body to a gold and red interweaved noble skirt, revealing taut white calves, highlighting the tall and elegant beauty, an innate noble temperament that came to the surface.
Apollo had to admit, although in his heart, sister Artemis was the most temperamental goddess, his wife Aphrodite was the embodiment of pure beauty.
But compared to this Goddess of wisdom, they both lacked such independent and powerful confidence and brilliance.
This was a unique charm that could only appear in Athena.
Looking at Apollo’s gaze, Athena kept smiling as she approached: “My great Lord of light, congratulations on your return with victory.”
“Victory was with you the whole time. I didn’t bring her with me,” Apollo muttered.
“Nike is not with me either; she has gone back to her father.” Athena’s bright eyes flashed abruptly with a flash of depth.
Apollo noticed this, but before he could give him a chance to ask a question, Athena gave him a quiet wink.
Apollo followed her to the temple of the Goddess of wisdom.
The familiar room was filled with a faint smoky fragrance.
Athena scanned the surroundings, first smiled, and said: “I had planned to empty Zeus, slowly force him to abdicate, but now it seems that my plan is too conservative. Now the situation, when he abdicated only in your mind.”
In the golden and red skirt cross flash, bright and eye-catching goddess Athena came closer to Apollo.
She looked carefully at his handsome cheeks and suddenly sighed softly: “The changes in this world are always unexpected, and even with great wisdom, one cannot calculate all the changes in things.”
“I still remember when I first met you, you were just a young ordinary god, and even Ares may not be able to beat. And now, you are the true Primordial God, the uncrowned King of divine court.”
Reflecting the handsome face, the bright eyes of the bright-eyed girl, full of wisdom, were filled with complexity.
Like a sister who saw her younger brother growing up and like seeing her childhood friend’s lover achieving greatness.
“Are you here to praise me? Come on, say a few more words. It’s very rare to hear the sincere praise of the Goddess of wisdom.” The tip of his nose sniffed the girl’s seductive fragrance, and Apollo laughed.
Athena gave him a good look, her face suddenly became serious, and she said solemnly: “You must know the change of fate better than me; I need to remind you one thing.”
Hearing the word ‘fate’, Apollo curbed the joke on his face.
The last time Athena asked Nike to say something to him, he was curious about how this Goddess of wisdom knew something about fate.
“I wonder how much you know about Nike’s father, Pallas.” Athena suddenly asked.
“The God of war strategy, the brain of the Titan’s divine court, the wise man alongside your mother and Prometheus, his fame still cannot be reduced in glory even if it is intentionally covered up by the current divine court.” Apollo said, “And I remember that you esteemed him.”
“Then have you ever wondered one thing, as the Titans war Titans divine court side commanders, why after the war he was not imprisoned in Tartarus, instead of the status of his brother Perseus was imprisoned?”
“This question is really worth exploring.” Apollo’s golden eyes flashed.
The three wise men of the Titans, Metis and Prometheus, both took refuge in Zeus during the Titan war and established immortal feats for the rise of Olympus.
But these two wise men did not end up well.
On the contrary, Pallas, who stood opposite Zeus, was excluded from the divine court but also had a good time.
Obviously a loser. Why did he instead live better than the other two wise men?
“I checked many details of the original Titans war and finally came to a startling conclusion.” Athena’s eyes suddenly glowed with bright color.
“In fact, like my mother and Prometheus, Pallas actually also defected to that Father God of ours, and the defeat of the Titans divine court was actually planned by him.”
The Goddess of wisdom’s face was very serious.
“Although it is a very bold conclusion, I believe in your judgment.” Apollo nodded his head and said.
Athena then sat down and ambled on the table: “Do you think that there is not much need to explore this issue now?”
“But, no, there is a secret hidden in it, a secret that is very important to me.”
The beautiful goddess, who had always been calm and confident, facing everything with a smile full of wisdom, had a face full of excitement at this time.
This made Apollo a little surprised.
She held her head high and tried to calm herself down: “I suspect that my mother was swallowed by Zeus in the first place, and that was the plan of Pallas.”
Apollo’s pupils shrank.
Athena then said.
“The three wise men of the Titans have a good relationship with each other, and Pallas and his mother are not much different in age. Naturally, they are closer than Prometheus, who looks like an old man. If I hadn’t met Zeus, I wouldn’t doubt my mother. It’s a pair with him.”
“And from some of the things my mother left behind, I found that my mother had explored a secret with him at the beginning that had a huge relationship, and the reason why I could feel something of fate was also related to this secret.”
“And then my mother met Zeus, conceived my brother and me, and after the overthrow of the Titans war, she became Zeus’ first wife, and not long after that, she was swallowed by Zeus because of that prophecy.”
“This series of events came too quickly and coincidentally as if there was an invisible hand that manipulated all.”
“And soon after I was born, Nike, his daughter, risked everything to become my slave god, knowing that Nike was already the Main God.”
“As much as I trusted Nike, I had to wonder if she was the eyes of her father, used to spy on me, a being that should not have been born in his plan!”
“And the purpose of Pallas doing all this was all about that secret.”
