I Am the Fated Villain - Chapter 152
Chapter 152: What are you thinking, Changge? You’re actually protecting her.
Buzz!
In the desolate void, three thousand kilometres from the ancient city, the enigmatic figure known as Gu Changge emerged. Casting a glance at the city descending into chaos, a smile played on his lips. Guilt was nowhere to be found.
The Ancient Immortal tribes sought revenge, but Gu Changge was prepared to defeat them. His primary motive was to eradicate threats that could expose the dragon’s corpse.
Even if suspicions arose, the Ancient Immortal tribes would find themselves powerless. The move would only deepen the animosity between them and the outside world. This makes Gu Changge’s scheme genuinely cunning.
Executing a single plan to achieve multiple goals, he aimed to further muddy the waters of the Ancient Immortal Continent. This ensured a more favourable outcome for himself.
“Master, we’ve eliminated all suspicious individuals”.
Gu Changge’s followers reported respectfully, converging from all directions.
Nodding in approval, Gu Changge remarked, “Very well, let’s go.”
By eliminating witnesses strategically, he ensured that those who saw him arriving met a similar fate. The timing was crucial. He symphonized the killings upon discovery to avoid appearing too deliberate.
His scheme was to let Yue Mingkong subtly sense that he was protecting her—a delicate balance of hint without being too obvious. He didn’t want Yue Mingkong to suspect him too much, as that would be ineffective.
Gu Changge disliked the idea of doing a “good deed” only to remain unrecognised.
What was the point of exerting effort if he couldn’t revel in the glory?
Thinking about it, Gu Changge, accompanied by his followers, departed without lingering. Soon after, the ancient forces were shaken when several young supreme beings were assassinated during a gathering. This triggered an uproar throughout the whole world.
The Feather Clan and Golden Crow Clan were furious. They had lost numerous talents, their essence obliterated during the event.
Even a cultivator from the Golden Crow Clan was killed, intensifying the shockwaves. This incident stained the ancient forces’ reputation, fueling their anger as they conducted investigations.
Many ancient beings doubted who could have carried such a silent and swift attack into the old city, bypassing everyone to assassinate and escaping unnoticed.
Such methods were not something ordinary young supreme beings could achieve. It required external divine forces, such as immortal artefacts or treasures, or extraordinary personal strength capable of killing Divine Realm beings.
Moreover, the disturbance at that time was minimal; otherwise, it would not have taken so long for many powerful beings to notice.
This incident became a shame for the ancient clans, and they began narrowing their suspicions to a few young supreme beings from the external world. Among them, Gu Changge had the highest and most probable suspicion.
However, no one could prove that it was him.
In response, Gu Changge naturally feigned ignorance. He wore an expression of “stop talking, it wasn’t me.”
This angered many ancient beings who were already convinced that Gu Changge was the culprit. However, despite their certainty, they couldn’t produce any evidence.
Since the death of Long Teng, turmoil erupted again among the various ancient clans. Many young supreme beings spontaneously gathered, intending to avenge Gu Changge.
This action inevitably led to collateral damage to other young cultivators, escalating the gaps and hatred between the external world and the various ancient clans.
During this time, frequent clashes between cultivators from both sides could be witnessed, with blood flowing in all directions.
The Ancient Dragon Clan also issued a statement, demanding that Gu Changge hand over Long Teng’s body or face the consequences. This declaration caused a significant stir.
Gu Changge’s response was firm, “Impossible.”
He even suggested that the Ancient Dragon Clan should not send their younger generation, or he would kill anyone he encountered.
These words were not threats. He acted on them the same day, leading his followers to search and ruthlessly kill any young supreme beings related to the Ancient Dragon Clan.
His dominance left the various ancient clans and external immortal sects astonished. A wave of bloodshed and chaos swept through the Ancient Immortal Continent.
Yet, the Ancient Dragon Clan dared not send their younger generation to confront Gu Changge. The expressions of the clan’s high-level members were bleak, with a few elders even shattering jade tables during discussions.
…
In the Baiheng Mountains, amidst grand and majestic ruins, Yu Mingkong, accompanied by her followers, occupied the area as if waiting for something.
As Gu Changge had anticipated, Yu Mingkong had also received news about the recent events.
It seems that after his disappearance, he went to hunt down the hidden experts.
Yu Mingkong said to herself, standing atop a mountain peak.
Her expression was calm and profound, barefoot in the snow. Her hair dancing in the wind, and her robes fluttering. She gazed towards the mist-shrouded ruins ahead.
She deduced that when Gu Changge handed her Long Teng’s body, it seemed to have been observed by the hidden expert from the Golden Crow Clan. Was this the reason why Gu Changge went to kill that expert?
If so, apart from Gu Changge, no one else knew that Long Teng’s body was with her. Gu Changge did all this to protect her, to shield her from the blame.
Changge, what are you thinking by doing all this?
Yu Mingkong’s eyes suddenly became hazy, and her nose felt slightly sour. In the previous life, Gu Changge would never have acted like this. He might even have wanted to make the fact that Long Teng’s body was with her widely known.
How could he now protect her like this, taking the blame and drawing the anger of the Ancient Dragon Clan?
At this moment, she was genuinely moved.
“When he was silencing the witnesses, he attracted the attention of the other ancient clans. But in doing so, he drew the anger of the Ancient Dragon Clan and the other clans.”
Yu Mingkong furrowed her brows. She suddenly wanted to go find Gu Changge. Even if he was as powerful as he was, facing the combined attacks of the various ancient clans would take a lot of work.
She wanted to avenge the grievances from her previous life, but she wouldn’t allow others to harm Gu Changge.
However, after the emergence of the Immortal Spirit, many old figures will come. By then, the various ancient immortal clans will definitely restrain themselves.
I should stay here for now. The Baiheng Mountains conceal the Immortal Path, and when it opens, I can enter first.
After serious consideration, Yu Mingkong felt it best to stay here. In the previous life, Gu Changge had silently snatched the Immortal Spirit from many old experts and undoubtedly possessed numerous life-saving methods. She was overthinking it.
At this moment, even if the various ancient clans hated Gu Changge, they wouldn’t dare to send their elders to take action. Thinking of this, she breathed a sigh of relief.
However, she hesitated about whether to inform Gu Changge about the Immortal Spirit in advance. After all, many things had proven that Gu Changge was genuinely different now.
Meanwhile, on the Immortal Ancient Continent…
A young man named Hei Ming sat cross-legged in a secluded courtyard within the Black Heavenly Eagle Clan’s territory. Wisps of black mist swirled around his face, resembling threads floating mysteriously.
Opening his eyes, a hint of excitement flashed through Hei Ming’s eyes.
I’ve broken through to the Saint Realm in just a short time, a little over a month. I was only at the Divine Ability Realm before!
At this rate, I can probably break through to the Sealed King Realm in half a year. I will surpass my sister and become the absolute genius of the Black Heavenly Eagle Clan!
Hei Ming showed his excitement. A month ago, he wouldn’t have dared to think like this. But now, not only had he achieved it, but he also broke through two major realms. His cultivation was still increasing dramatically every day.
This level of progress was unimaginable.
The Heavenly Marriage Immortal Technique was genuinely terrifying and heaven-defying.
Not long ago, his sister Hei Yanyu provided the cultivation method for the marriage attire part to the clan elders. It caused a great commotion in the entire clan.
After thorough research, the clan elders concluded it was an immortal technique containing supreme Dao rules, directly pointing to the Immortal Path.
This revelation excited and delighted everyone in the Black Heavenly Eagle Clan. They considered it a treasure that could lead them to greatness.
The elders and high-ranking members immersed themselves in the study and practice of the technique. They found signs of loosening in their long-stagnant cultivations.
This discovery further amazed them.
Everyone believed this was the Black Heavenly Eagle Clan’s rise to power. It was seen as the opportunity to dominate the Ancient Immortal Continent after absorbing the other four clans.
An Immortal Law– a legacy of unparalleled magnitude!
Hei Yanyu’s status soared even higher due to providing the immortal technique, and she was more distinguished than ever. Thanks to her mention, Hei Ming, who accidentally obtained the technique, willingly offered it to the clan to strengthen the family.
This innocent move earned Hei Ming the admiration and praise of the elders, who declared him a good child.
In this operation, Hei Ming smoothly became one of the prominent background figures among the younger generation. He was second only to his sister.
What shocked the elders even more was that Hei Ming’s cultivation seemed to improve. According to him, he felt his talent getting stronger.
This statement left the Black Heavenly Eagle clan’s elders stunned and overjoyed. They focused even more on the cultivation of the immortal technique.
Externally, Hei Ming also shared this immortal technique with members of other clans. His ambitions were vast, extending beyond the Black Heavenly Eagle Clan alone. In the future, he planned to use the other four clans’ resources to further enhance his strength.
Almost all the elders and those with good talent in the clan practice this immortal technique. Even two of the ancestors awakened in a deep slumber and started practising it.
Thinking about this, Hei Ming became even more excited, shaking with unrestrained joy.
Because awakening the two ancestors was undoubtedly due to this matter. Their talent and strength would increase significantly once these ancestors practised the immortal technique.
If only I could see that supreme being again. Without him, I’m still a useless waste!
Hei Ming’s eyes revealed a deep longing. He held profound reverence and faith for the revered being. He eagerly wished for another encounter to receive even stronger cultivation techniques and divine powers.
“Brother, the two senior ancestors wish to meet you. They had some questions for you,” a voice suddenly echoed outside the courtyard.
It was Hei Ming’s sister, Hei Yanyu. Despite appearing only seventeen or eighteen, she wore a white gown surrounded by swirling mists. She had delicate features and jet-black hair adorned with a phoenix hairpin. Clad in an exquisite attire, she exuded an unparalleled purity and beauty.
Hei Ming rose, realising it was time to face the two senior ancestors and answer their inquiries.
He felt a tinge of nervousness. After all, the origin of the technique he possessed was mysterious. While using the excuse of finding it by chance might work temporarily, he couldn’t deceive them indefinitely. There would inevitably be a moment of exposure.
As Hei Ming approached, his sister gently spoke, “Brother…”
Hei Ming interrupted, “Sister, the senior ancestors wanted to see me. They had something to discuss.”
At this moment, he became aware that the seniors likely intended to analyse him, perhaps even probing his thoughts. The tension in his heart grew. His palms were sweaty.
What if the supreme being sensed their presence?
Hei Ming harboured deep concerns.
In his anxiety, a sudden sensation in his mind shook him. A mysterious and terrible God, with six heads and eight arms, appeared. He was gazing at him impassively. It felt as if a vague mist had emerged in his mind.
Could it be that the supreme being heard my prayers?
Hei Ming was shocked, followed by intense excitement.
Observing his brother’s unusual reaction, Hei Yanyu inquired, “Brother, what’s wrong?”
Hei Ming hurriedly shook his head, “Nothing, just the excitement of meeting the senior ancestors.”
“Stay calm when the time comes, and don’t be too restrained. The senior ancestors are kind-hearted individuals…” Hei Yanyu reassured him.
Hei Yanyu didn’t doubt it. After all, the two ancestors were the oldest in the Black Heavenly Eagle family. They were suspected to be quasi-supreme or even above that level.
No descendant would get excited and thrilled to see it. After all, she was no exception then and was very excited and nervous.
……
Meanwhile, thousands of miles away in a distant ruin, Gu Changge watched with a faint smile as the golden patterns in his eyes faded. The visions that Hei Ming witnessed swiftly vanished from his sight.
During this period, Hei Ming’s actions didn’t disappoint Gu Changge. He had almost infiltrated the entire Black Heavenly Eagle Clan. He admired the act, though he couldn’t help but acknowledge that it still fell short compared to Yin Mei’s skills.
The two senior ancestors of the Black Heavenly Eagle Clan.
They might notice the anomaly in the Marriage Immortal Technique. If they possess Supreme-level cultivation, it might pose a problem.
If there’s a mishap, leveraging the entire Black Heavenly Eagle Family as a threat might coerce their compliance.
They likely will only discern issues if they’re at the Supreme Realm. That puts my mind at ease.
Gu Changge was standing alone, observing the vast and towering cityscape in the distance. He had yet to bring any followers, as fewer people knew about this plan, which worked to his advantage.
He wouldn’t allow his demonic art to be exposed recklessly. Facing enemies everywhere would be foolish.
However, no matter what, he currently held the most advantageous position. Even if the seniors discovered anomalies in Hei Ming’s actions, no one could trace them back to his scheming.
Like the Devouring Immortal Demonic Art, the Marriage Immortal Technique had appeared in the long river of time before. If, by chance, these old-timers had some knowledge of it, that would be troublesome.
The probability is low. Understanding the Marriage Immortal Technique requires at least Supreme-level insight. I might be overthinking it.
Gu Changge squinted, ensuring he calculated every possibility without room for error.
Once I control these two senior ancestors, the entire Black Heavenly Eagle Clan will fall into my hands effortlessly. It’s truly a breeze.
He chuckled, contemplating a further enhancement of his strength before the inevitable confrontation.
Noticing the recent surge in aura points and destiny values, he recalled the abundant destiny points acquired from Gu Xian’er and Yue Mingkong. They were two women with remarkable destinies.
Gu Changge opened his current status panel:

This command consumed 12,000 aura points. Soon, a familiar and mystical energy enveloped him. This time, he exchanged for Transcendence Bones in the spine, palms, leg bones, and skull—four pieces total.
With this, each central area of his body was now equipped with a piece of Transcendence Bone.

Why are you splitting chapters, but not marking them as it should be?
Just do Chapter 151 part 1
Then Chapter 151 part 2
Doing it like this makes it more confusing for readers…
Big Boss
Because the site system didn’t support the order like 151.1, 151.2, it only support integer. In addition, it is easier for us to calculate the efficiency of translators and the cost per chapter. What we(both translator and readers) need is more standardized workflow than the title problem, so that readers can read the stable release chapter with a standardized quality.
Seregosa
Too bad this quality isn’t worth reading anymore though, that’s an even bigger problem than stable releases. A huge drop at chapter 151, checked a few chapters far later and decided that I’ll have to drop this novel now. It’s just not good enough to be interesting, while the translation is probably fairly accurate, it’s not fun to read, at least not for a novel like this that requires the dialogue to flow well and be “energetic” and lively.
If the same translator would’ve come back after a while, I’d have powered through, too bad it seems like it won’t happen. Sigh.
