I Am the Fated Villain - Chapter 190
Chapter 190: I need to use a new identity. Who else wants to oppose it?
In the Immortal Continent, within the domain of the divine Crocodile clan, dark clouds gathered in the sky, giving the area an ominous appearance with swirling black miasma.
A gray bubble ruptured in the void, emanating a palpable aura akin to a deathly swamp. Amidst the jungle beyond this swamp, several robust divine crocodile figures patrolled, their whispers blending with the ambient sounds. Clad in golden armor with dark golden vertical pupils, they scanned the nearby mountains and forests, vigilant against approaching creatures.
The divine Crocodile and Ancient Tortoise clans remained on high alert, particularly wary of any movements from the Black Heavenly Eagle clan. Following the Black Heavenly Eagle clan’s acquisition of the immortal scripture, the divine crocodile and ancient snake clans had begun cultivating it eagerly. This scripture possessed extraordinary mystique and power, capable of enhancing even those with modest abilities, bringing hope for advancement to many within the clans.
For some time, they had endured suppression from the Black Heavenly Eagle clan, suspecting that their newfound power stemmed from the mysterious scripture. Upon the quasi-supreme realm ancestors emerging from seclusion to cultivate the scripture, they were astounded by its profundity. Its mysteries enthralled them, shaking their dao hearts and rendering them intoxicated with its complexity.
The revelation of the Black Heavenly Eagle clan’s powerful secret stumbled upon in a drunken stupor, elevated the status of those who had witnessed it within the divine crocodile and ancient snake clans. This accidental discovery sparked envy among many, as the merit of uncovering such a potent secret was undeniable. Even the chiefs of both clans found themselves immersed in cultivation, unable to extricate themselves from the allure of the scripture’s mysteries.
A sturdy member of the divine crocodile clan, clad in silver armor, sighed as he completed his patrol near the mountain range.
“The immortal scripture from the Black Heavenly Eagle clan is truly remarkable! Last night, I broke through to the middle of the Heavenly God realm, overcoming a bottleneck that had plagued me for centuries…”
Beside him, another clan member nodded in agreement, sharing the same sense of awe.
“I can feel myself nearing a breakthrough, too. It’s as if I’ve touched the bottleneck, and I believe it’s only a matter of days now! Who would have thought our clan would come across such a potent immortal scripture? It might just lead us to dominate the entire Ancient Immortal Continent!”
There was a smile on his face, tinged with excitement. Their newfound motivation to cultivate starkly contrasted their previous struggles with limited qualifications. The immortal scripture was indeed a divine object capable of reshaping their destiny. Its bone-transforming effects held tangible promise for their clan, potentially heralding a new peak of glory.
“If we hadn’t stumbled upon that foolish member of the Black Heavenly Eagle clan, we might still be in the dark…” the first member mused.
“The Black Heavenly Eagle clan harbors sinister intentions. They’ve grown stronger covertly, and I fear it won’t be long before they target our clans. Their appetite for power knows no bounds!” added the second member.
“Thankfully, their scheme was uncovered in time!” they both remarked, feeling a sense of luck wash over them.
Only clan members who had reached the True God realm and select talented descendants were deemed worthy of cultivating the immortal scripture. The secrecy surrounding it underscored its significance. They doubted the Black Heavenly Eagle clan would intentionally leak such a valuable asset. After all, why reveal a good thing? In the end, it was greed that had led to their downfall.
The appearance of an immortal scripture like this was deemed impossible for the Black Heavenly Eagle clan; they hadn’t disclosed when they acquired it. Despite their silence, the growing strength of the Black Heavenly Eagle clan surely stirred envy deep within them.
“Who are you? What business do you have intruding upon our clan’s territory?” The two exclaimed in shock, their dark golden vertical pupils contracting with disbelief.
Approaching from beyond the mountain range was a young man who seemed to have traversed vast distances effortlessly. He walked leisurely, hands behind his back, enveloped in wisps of divine haze as if draped in multicolored immortal attire. Each step seemed to ripple through space, effortlessly crossing rivers and mountains.
“Hiss! It’s him! Gu Changge! How did he find his way here?”
The two divine crocodile clansmen were shocked and trembled at the sight.
Gu Changge’s presence had stirred unrest among the various Great Dasian Ancient Legacy Clans. His reputation preceded him as the young man who had orchestrated the downfall of the Feathered clan and outmaneuvered all the ancient immortal clans.
His very name invoked scorn among the young generation of the Divine Crocodile clan, instilling a deep sense of fear. Seeing him outside their clan, they couldn’t help but shiver, feeling a chill run down their spines. Even their legs grew weak.
This breezy young man was no longer to be underestimated as a member of the younger generation.
Although no one followed behind him, Gu Changge exuded an unparalleled, terrifying presence that froze the two in place, wiping the smiles from their faces. So captivated were they by his aura that they forgot to send a message to their clan to alert them.
“Why do you seem unwelcoming?”
Gu Changge inquired with a gentle smile, his words laced with a subtle threat. Space distorted around him, condensing to mere inches, and with a single step, he stood before them.
After waiting for over half a month, it was time for him to reap the rewards. His first stop naturally led him to the Divine Crocodile clan. Having successfully subdued the Black Heavenly Eagle clan, Gu Changge harbored no worries about encountering any mishaps. He only needed to pluck the final fruit of his labor.
However, to ensure his clandestine identity remained intact, Gu Changge adopted a different persona, perhaps as the heir of the Reincarnated Heaven Lord. With Ye Ling’s demise, most of his trump cards now rested in Gu Changge’s hands, including the Reincarnated Heaven Lord’s palace, the Sea of Reincarnation, the Root of Reincarnation, and several Great Sacred realm puppets.
Although claiming to be the heir of the Reincarnated Heaven Lord might not draw recognition from the man himself, it would likely enrage him, given Gu Changge’s treacherous actions. The audacity of declaring himself as the successor after eliminating the carefully chosen heir and seizing his opportunity would evoke a vehement response.
“G-Gu Changge, what brings you to our clan?” the two divine Crocodile clansmen stammered, their voices tinged with fear as they addressed the intruder.
At that moment, the two were drenched in cold sweat, resisting the urge to collapse to the ground. Despite their status as Heavenly God realm beings, capable of commanding millions of cultivators and overlooking cities, they found themselves gripped by fear in the presence of a junior. The thought of this becoming public knowledge sent shivers down their spines, but the truth remained— not even a revived sacred weapon could withstand Gu Changge’s might. He undoubtedly possessed the means to end their lives.
“I’m surprised you recognize me. Well, that simplifies matters,” Gu Changge remarked casually, his tone tinged with self-deprecation.
He continued forward, issuing a chilling warning, “Keep quiet and lead the way, or face the consequences.”
His words left them speechless, their very souls trembling at the prospect of his wrath. The terror he exuded far surpassed any rumors they had heard. To experience this suffocating fear firsthand was a revelation. They dared not utter a word, their faces drained of color, bodies trembling with each step beside Gu Changge.
“Escort me to your clan leader, or the old ancestor will suffice. Inform your clan that their ‘master’ is paying a visit,” Gu Changge instructed casually, his smile never fading. It was as though he discussed the weather, not impending doom.
The gravity of his words froze them in place, eyes widening in shock. Chills raced down their spines as they comprehended the severity of the situation.
What kind of strength did Gu Changge possess to utter such audacious words? Was he foolish, or did he truly have the means to back up his claims? The mention of a “master” left them bewildered and terrified, their lives hanging in Gu Changge’s hands.
Gu Changge’s brazen demeanor hinted at both courage and meticulous planning. It was inconceivable that he would venture here alone without assurance of success. Did he appear foolish? On the contrary, his presence suggested a well-thought-out strategy.
As the two pondered, their minds clouded with apprehension despite their recent cultivation gains. Gu Changge’s arrival stirred the divine crocodile clan into a frenzy. Clan members froze as the news spread like wildfire.
The entire clan reacted as if a meteorite had struck the deep sea, causing chaos to erupt. The Protection Formation was triggered, casting a brilliant light across the sky adorned with shining runes.
The uproar echoed through the mountains as shocked voices questioned the audacity of the intruder. Divine crocodile clansmen emerged from their cultivation, their expressions a mix of shock and anger.
“How dare someone breach our clan’s defenses?”
“Who possesses such boldness?”
“They’re not just bold; they’re ignorant! What gives them the right to claim mastery over our clan?”
The divine crocodile clan seethed with resentment, their anger palpable.
Upon hearing the news, the divine crocodile clan members rushed over, unaware of the visitor’s identity. Gu Changge’s ability to provoke animosity had reached its zenith, evident in the clan’s instantaneous surge of anger.
With just a few words, Gu Changge had ignited the divine crocodile clan’s fury to its peak. Faces flushed red with anger, eyes brimming with murderous intent, they struggled to comprehend Gu Changge’s arrogant and disdainful attitude.
The Divine Crocodile clan held a prestigious position within the Ancient Immortal Continent, boasting immense power and a rich heritage. Even the emissaries of the Ancient Immortal Dragon Clan were required to notify them before visiting. Gu Changge’s brazen intrusion amounted to nothing short of provocation, a blatant invasion, and an affront to their dignity.
Amid the turmoil, a divine light soared into the sky, heralding the arrival of a Sacred realm clan elder of the Divine Crocodile Clan. With a golden glow from beneath his feet, he appeared with a shining aura, his gaze fixed firmly on Gu Changge. Though initially angry, his expression shifted to disbelief upon recognizing Gu Changge’s identity—a figure not unknown among the Ancient Immortal clans.
“Gu Changge! How is this possible?”
The realization spread among the Divine Crocodile Clan members, eliciting shock and disbelief.
“Arrogant?”
Gu Changge’s indifferent smile belied the impending doom as he raised his hand. The void collapsed, conjuring a massive palm swiftly descending, reducing unaware members of the Divine Crocodile Clan to a cloud of blood mist.
The gods and goddesses exploded in the sky, a spectacle of destruction that underscored Gu Changge’s resolve.
“I’ve come to reclaim what’s rightfully mine. How is that arrogance?”
Gu Changge’s laughter carried an air of indifference as if the entire Divine Crocodile clan held no significance to him.
“Gu Changge…”
The Sacred Realm clan elder of the Divine Crocodile clan’s face paled, a sense of foreboding gripping his heart.
Boom!
Divine lights streaked across the sky from various directions, signaling the arrival of numerous clan members who had rushed here upon hearing the commotion. Among them stood the younger generation, including Crocodile Zheng Yang, heir of the Divine Crocodile clan.
Initially, Crocodile Zheng Yang had accompanied Hei Yanyu, intending to exploit Gu Changge’s injuries to eliminate him. However, even heavily wounded, Gu Changge had proven a formidable opponent, effortlessly dispatching the Feathered clan’s genius who wielded a sacred-level divine weapon. The memory of that encounter left him deeply shaken and wary of Gu Changge’s prowess.
“Didn’t Gu Changge leave the Immortal Continent? Why has he returned to force his way into our clan?”
Crocodile Zheng Yang pondered, his gaze fixed on Gu Changge. Combining Gu Changge’s audacious actions with his previous words, a chill settled over him.
“He doesn’t strike me as a fool. His blatant intrusion suggests he’s not lacking in courage,” Crocodile Zheng Yang mused, his heart heavy with apprehension.
In his estimation, Gu Changge likely had a powerful ally, perhaps the formidable ancestor mentioned earlier. Otherwise, why would he risk such a brazen assault?
In any case, their clan boasted a quasi-supreme realm ancestor, and their lineage surpassed that of the Feathered clan.
“Gu Changge, what is your purpose here?” the Sacred Realm clan elder inquired, his face grave as he gestured to halt the clan members’ impulse to attack. He hesitated to take action without understanding Gu Changge’s intentions, mindful of the recent tragedy that befell the Feathered clan.
“What purpose? Haven’t I already stated it?” Gu Changge replied, hands behind his back, exuding an air of ownership over the land before him.
His words, though casual, carried a weight of familiarity as if reclaiming what was rightfully his.
Yet, Gu Changge intended to adopt a new identity, layering it atop his existing background. The first step was to assume the status of the Reincarnated Heaven Lord’s heir, a seamless move.
As Gu Changge’s words echoed, he waved his sleeve, causing the void to tremble. Suddenly, a rune emerged—a tapestry of black and white, resembling countless portals and bearing the essence of life and death intertwined in reincarnation. This manifestation of the power of reincarnation exuded an aura of time, leaving nearby Divine Crocodile clan powerhouses shaken.
“The power of reincarnation…” the Sacred Realm clan elder gasped, his expression shifting as he fixed his gaze on Gu Changge.
With Gu Changge’s blatant display of the power of reincarnation, his additional identity was revealed without question, unlike the Black Heavenly Eagle clan, who meticulously investigated Ye Ling’s affairs, or the astute mind of Hei Yanyu, the Divine Crocodile clan found themselves caught off guard by Gu Changge’s revelation.
The revelation that Gu Changge might be the heir of the Reincarnated Heaven Lord sent shockwaves through the clan. Uncertainty gripped them as they contemplated the implications of abiding by ancestral traditions.
Silence fell over the clan, each member frozen in shock and contemplation. Yet, upon reflection, Gu Changge’s incredible talent, formidable background, and unmatched strength made the idea of him being the heir of the Ancient Heavenly Lord of Reincarnation seem plausible.
For Crocodile Zheng Yang, this unexpected revelation sparked turmoil within. If Gu Changge held such authority, it meant submission to him according to tradition—a prospect he had not anticipated.
“Back then, the Reincarnated Heaven Lord placed a slave seal upon our clan, leaving us free but not in control of our own fate,” Crocodile Zheng Yang lamented, his gaze filled with complex emotions ranging from resignation to despair.
Despite the tradition, many clan members resisted submitting to Gu Changge, especially considering their recent advancements with the immortal scripture. They harbored aspirations of breaking free from shackles and exploring new possibilities.
“So what if you’re the heir of the Reincarnated Heaven Lord? We won’t submit to you, Gu Changge! You can’t force us!” Some members of the Divine Crocodile Clan erupted in anger, their eyes ablaze with defiance as they refused to accept this outcome.
Terrifying, bloody auras emanated from their bodies, resembling bright suns amidst a sea of runes as they attacked Gu Changge.
“Unacceptable…” The expression of the Sacred Realm clan elder shifted, intending to intervene, but it was too late.
“Idiotic. Isn’t it better to live peacefully? Life is precious, yet you squander it,” Gu Changge shook his head in disappointment.
In an instant, as if pulled by an invisible thread, the void trembled violently. Gu Changge remained motionless, his robes pristine, untouched by even a speck of dust.
Boom!
Blood mists erupted in the void, disappearing with their souls as if crushed by a thousand mountains.
“The slave seal…” The Sacred Realm clan elder and the rest of the clan fell silent, their faces drained of color, gripped by despair. They realized that Gu Changge wielded control over their lives with the slave seal, instilling a sense of powerlessness.
“How terrifying is he to have such control over us?” Crocodile Zheng Yang trembled in despair, witnessing Gu Changge’s unfathomable power.
Gu Changge’s methods astounded them, achieving mastery beyond comprehension. Little did they know, it was all orchestrated with the Immortal Binding technique, a fact Gu Changge had no intention of revealing.
Surveying the subdued crowd, Gu Changge’s smile remained breezy. “Anyone else care to object?” he asked, met with deafening silence.
Not even the Sacred Realm clan elder dared to speak. The surrounding divine crocodile clansmen and old monsters paled, unprepared for the turn of events.
“In half a quarter of an hour, meet me at your ancestral hall. Those who defy this will forfeit their lives. While I am merciful, I have no patience for provocations,” Gu Changge added with a smile, intending to use this opportunity to dismantle the Ancient Immortal clans.
The divine crocodile clan shuddered, realizing the depth of Gu Changge’s ruthlessness.

I’m somewhat bothered by how often you use “calculated” as if it means “schemed against”. It’s not a huge deal since it’s clear what it’s supposed to mean, but it might be good to note that “calculate” does not mean “scheme”. At most it can be slightly related in the right case, such as if someone calculates a heinous plan or calculates their actions to manipulate them, but calculate on its own has nothing to do with scheming or manipulation.
Enjoying the translation otherwise, thanks for a good job.

It’s fine, if you say that someone is a calculating person, it is the same as saying they’re cunning and scheming
