I Am the Fated Villain - Chapter 229
Chapter 229: First, loot all the confidence, he thought that it was the third floor but it was actually the tenth floor
“Your master is from the upper realm, and his knowledge and vision far exceed all the cultivators in this realm. Everyone can’t see your specialness, but he can,” Jiang Yang explained, his tone heavy with concern. “That’s why he saw at first glance that you are extraordinary.”
“And Yaoyao, why do you think he is so good to you for no reason? Although this brother knows that saying these words will make you sad, I still have to say…” He paused, wanting to reveal Gu Changge’s true intentions to Yaoyao.
“You can’t cultivate now, but he still treats you so well and keeps you by his side… In fact, he has other plans,” Jiang Yang continued, his voice tinged with urgency. “You have to believe that in this world, no one will be nice to you for no reason.”
“Your master is a hypocrite and a villain… He must be thinking of taking you back to the upper realm, to use you to make some pills or something,” he warned Yaoyao, trying to protect her from potential harm.
“This is something that I found in the ancient books of Immortal Lun Sect last night,” Jiang Yang added, anticipating Yaoyao’s questions and preemptively explaining how he came to this conclusion.
In truth, this wasn’t a baseless accusation; it was Jiang Yang’s conclusion after careful consideration.
With the means that Gu Changge used in the main hall that day, Jiang Yang could see that Gu Changge was not a good person. Would such a person be so kind, accepting Yaoyao as a disciple for no reason? Who doesn’t want something in return? From Jiang Yang’s perspective on people, there was a big problem with this. This so-called Immortal had impure purposes and ulterior motives.
Hearing this, Yaoyao was stunned for a moment, her face growing pale, and her hands clenched tightly. But soon, a surge of anger and coldness overtook her, and she scolded, “You are talking nonsense! How could my Master be like what you said…”
“Stop framing my master!” she exclaimed, her expression shifting abruptly.
Buzz!
Between her eyebrows, there was a peach-like pattern, unusually bright and starting to glow, exuding a terrifying aura. She was filled with indifference, as if she were overlooking everything, perpetually reincarnated, viewing everything in the world as insignificant. Even if the world collapsed, she was immortal, and if the world were destroyed, she would live on forever.
….
At the same time, within the depths of the Immortal Lun Sect, immortal mist surged, various patterns intertwined, and a brilliant rain of light filled the air, creating an atmosphere akin to a land of flying immortals.
In a quiet and deep corridor, Gu Changge approached unhurriedly, wearing a faint smile on his face.
“Don’t attempt to make any noise or you’ll meet your end sooner,” he warned calmly.
As he advanced, the formations on both sides began to emit a murderous aura, and runes shot into the sky, transforming into various terrifying weapons, clanging loudly in an attempt to destroy him. However, with a wave of his sleeve, a monstrous aura, akin to a vast sky falling down, densely packed the area, wiping out the runes like a heavy rain.
The two most esteemed elders in front of him were shocked and flew upside down, blood spurting from their mouths upon contact with the aura, severely injuring them and breaking their bones.
“How… how did you breach this place?” the two Sacred Realm elders struggled to get up from the ground, unable to comprehend the scene before them.
Gu Changge’s sudden intrusion into the deepest part of the Immortal Lun Sect, their most sacred heritage, caught them off guard. They were well aware of Gu Changge’s identity as the mysterious Immortal from the upper realm who had recently arrived at the sect.
But why did he quietly sneak into the deepest part of their Sect, and what did he want to do? It left them completely perplexed. At this moment, they were completely suppressed by Gu Changge’s aura, their souls trembling and on the verge of collapse, rendering them completely immobile. In this state, resistance was futile, and even movement was difficult.
The two of them were filled with despair and disbelief. “I told you to be quiet to let you live a little longer,” Gu Changge said casually. With a flick of his fingers and a sword shake, a terrifying sword energy, resembling an ancient immortal sword, flew from between his fingers and instantly pierced between the eyebrows of the two, annihilating their souls.
Then, runes condensed into a large treasure bottle, floating up and down. Black light emanated from it, swiftly engulfing their bodies. He wanted to sneak into the forbidden area in the depths of the Immortal Lun Sect, which was not a problem at all. The two wanted to die while blocking the way, and Gu Changge naturally fulfilled their wish.
Deliberately using the treasure bottle, Gu Changge was cautious about the divine soul related to the soul lamp, and did not intend to devour it first. Otherwise, the entire Immortal Lun Sect would likely be horrified by the fluctuations.
“The phantom of the Immortal Lun Supreme should be sealed here,” he mused. “While Jiang Yang is outside, I should secretly refine his current biggest reliance. I’m afraid his face will be green with anger by then. It would be even better if there was a supreme weapon.”
With an intriguing smile on his face, Gu Changge proceeded down the corridor, his plans now set in motion.
In Gu Changge’s eyes, the reincarnation of the Human Ancestor was no different from Ye Ling and Lin Tian from earlier. He was now waiting for the Human Ancestor’s luck points to be squeezed out before he could finally harvest him. Before that, he would neutralize the many minions of the reincarnation of the Human Ancestor, rendering him useless.
Jiang Yang could never have imagined that Gu Changge would take advantage of his trip outside the Immortal Lun Sect to go to the depths and shatter all of his confidence. And soon, Gu Changge broke through many rune formations, finally arriving at the place where the forbidden area of the Immortal Lun was sealed.
This was a simple yet magnificent hall. At the top, a mighty aura floated up and down, resembling both a fog and a chain of laws and rules.
“In a place like the Heavenly Star Realm, there are still such techniques. It seems that the Immortal Lun Supreme indeed left a lot of help for the Human Ancestor. These are the sacred objects of basic cultivation, and there is even a lot of chaotic sand…” Gu Changge observed the scenes in the hall.
The Chaos aura, emanating mightily above his head, was actually a piece of chaotic sand. Such a thing was rare even in the upper realm, and unlikely to be found in the Heavenly Star Realm. Yet, there were many of them here. Additionally, there were numerous precious items such as wonderful roots, holy fruits, dragon marrow, and immortal jades, each profoundly valuable. Any one of these items would drive cultivators to madly scramble for it.
“All these treasures were reserved for Jiang Yang, but now I can only laugh at him…” Gu Changge smirked faintly. With a wave of his sleeve, the terrifying power of space erupted, and even the piece of Chaotic Sand above the hall was taken away by him. Soon, the place became empty, as if it had been ransacked.
Finally, Gu Changge fixed his gaze on the divine source in the middle of the great hall, suppressed by an ancient and intricate golden cauldron.
“Immortal Lun Supreme…”
Dark light began to flow within his gaze, exuding an extremely cold and demonic aura.
Without hesitation, he made his move.
Several flags were swiftly inserted on all sides, enveloping the place in a vague and deceptive intent to prevent the aura from leaking out.
From Gu Changge’s abdomen, a large treasure vase of the great dao fiercely emerged, emanating a horrifying black light, resembling a black hole ready to swallow the universe.
Within the divine source, a terrifying figure was sealed, sitting with closed eyes. It appeared blurry, incomparably tall, resembling a god clad in armor of cold aura, with a pair of horns atop its head.
A crack appeared on the divine source, causing its aura to leak out. Gu Changge estimated that the aura induced by Jiang Yang at that time originated from this place, leading the entire Immortal Lun Sect to revere him like a god.
In that moment, Gu Changge struck out with the intention of devouring it for his own sustenance.
“Who is it?”
As Gu Changge made his move, the figure within the divine source opened his eyes, his expression cold and indifferent, resembling a vast expanse of starry sky encapsulated within. Then, his shock and anger became apparent.
He didn’t expect someone to dare make a move on him while he was sleeping. It was audacious.
But in the next moment, when he saw the Dao treasure bottle dropping down in front of him, his expression changed once again.
From indifference, it shifted to shock, disbelief, and a hint of fear and horror.
“How is it possible… Great Dao Treasure Vase…”
Recognizing the pitch-black bottle in front of him, his voice trembled slightly. Even his divine soul seemed shaken.
As a supreme being, albeit only a wisp of his shadow, he contained immense power. Quasi-supreme beings were unlikely to be his opponents.
Yet, the moment he saw the Great Dao treasure bottle, his whole body felt frozen, filled with bone-chilling cold.
This unexpected turn left the Immortal Lun Supreme so stunned that he didn’t even notice Gu Changge, who suddenly attacked with the demonic halberd in front of him.
By the time he reacted, the monstrous demonic aura had already engulfed him. The divine source cracked open, splitting down on his body like exploding stars, unleashing terrifying fluctuations.
His shoulder almost exploded.
If it weren’t for the fact that Gu Changge had covered this place with a formation pattern to conceal the aura, these fluctuations would likely have razed all nearby buildings.
“You… You actually appeared, the inheritor of demonic art…” The Immortal Lun Supreme trembled, his gaze fixed on Gu Changge, his voice struggling to remain calm as if trying to see through him.
Gu Changge’s face was veiled in a layer of fog, obscuring it greatly. Only his eyes, devoid of emotion, stared coldly, resembling a lifeless object. This sent shivers down the Immortal Lun Supreme’s spine, recalling the rumors preceding Gu Changge’s birth.
The inheritor of demonic art, laying waste to all domains in the heavens, had brought despair to all races and beings, a time of hopelessness.
“Obediently hand over your origin to me, don’t resist unnecessarily,” Gu Changge said indifferently. Despite facing a supreme being, his tone dripped with contempt and indifference.
“It’s just a junior, how dare you speak so boldly. How did you find your way to this place?” The Immortal Lun Supreme was infuriated, quickly realizing that Gu Changge before him was merely a junior, bluffing. His actual cultivation level was only that of the Sacred Realm!
But why was he speaking to a supreme being with such insolence? And his existence was linked to the reincarnation of the human ancestor. Now even the inheritor of demonic art sought him out.
This filled the Immortal Lun Supreme with more worry and unease, but as a mere wisp of a shadow, there was little he could do.
Boom!
“How I found my way here, does it really matter?” Gu Changge said indifferently. “What’s important is that you and the reincarnation of the human ancestor will soon meet your demise.”
With a swift motion, the Eight Desolate Demon Halberd descended, seemingly tearing through the fabric of the universe. Light exploded, divine chains of laws trembled, aiming to subdue and consume the Supreme Phantom in this place.
Simultaneously, as the great treasure vase plummeted, runes cascaded like rain, intent on overwhelming him.
Soon, a tremulous roar of anger and resignation reverberated. It was as if some entity was making a final, desperate stand—a roar that shook the earth.
Yet, shrouded in thick gray fog, the sound failed to propagate. Many horrifying aftershocks were absorbed by the high altitude of the great treasure bottle, leaving no trace of aura behind.
It resembled a ghastly cosmic annihilation mill, emanating dark light and emitting a rumbling sound akin to the rotation of a world.
Eventually, the tumultuous fluctuations subsided. The dense gray fog dissipated, revealing Gu Changge’s figure emerging from within. However, his eyes remained closed, as if he were still recalling the earlier aura.
He shook his head slightly.
“Tsk.”
Gu Changge clicked his tongue.
“The flavor of this Supreme Phantom is far superior to the many originals I’ve devoured.”
He paused, contemplating his next move. “However, it’s the perfect time to shift the blame onto the Immortal Lun Supreme.”
With resolve, Gu Changge opened his eyes. His cultivation had soared to the peak of the Sacred Realm, a mere step away from reaching the Great Sacred Realm—a progress rate that pleased him.
Yet, his satisfaction was tempered by the absence of the Immortal Lun Supreme’s weapon. He surmised it must be elsewhere.
As he pondered his next steps, a plan formed. The missing Supreme Phantom could be pinned on the Immortal Lun Supreme. Gu Changge intended to use this to his advantage, particularly with Yaoyao.
He envisioned a narrative where Jiang Yang had been seized by the Immortal Lun Supreme, explaining away Jiang Yang’s peculiar behavior as a result of being overtaken. This tale would absolve the Immortal Lun Sect of any responsibility, safeguarding their reputation.
But for Yaoyao, this revelation would carry weight.
As he prepared to depart, Gu Changge’s expression shifted. His gaze turned ethereal as he glimpsed through the eyes of the Myriad Demonic Body within the jade pendant adorning Yaoyao’s person.
In particular, Yaoyao’s aura underwent a violent change, and her petal peach blossom began to radiate with a terrifying energy.
Gu Changge’s smile turned intriguing for a moment. “Hmm? You actually confessed this to Yaoyao? It seems my intuition was spot on.”
“Thanks to my foresight, I provided her with ample information to anticipate your actions. You thought I was on the third layer, but little did you know, I’ve already ascended to the tenth layer. I know all your moves…”
“As the reincarnation of the human ancestor, you’ve disappointed me,” Gu Changge chuckled, unruffled by the revelation.
Unbeknownst to Jiang Yang, Gu Changge’s true target had always been him, not Yaoyao. Yaoyao merely served as a front for Jiang Yang.
Gu Changge had been forthright with Yaoyao from the start. He had initially intended to take her as his disciple because he sensed her extraordinary aura, suspecting her background was significant. This kindness wasn’t arbitrary; it was calculated.
Yaoyao, being perceptive and astute, had understood Gu Changge’s intentions and had not objected. She comprehended that Gu Changge wouldn’t offer discipleship without a motive—it was all about reciprocity.
Gu Changge then openly admitted to Yaoyao that he had indeed considered abandoning her upon realizing she couldn’t cultivate. This admission left the young Yaoyao’s face slightly pale.
However, Gu Changge quickly softened his tone. He expressed regret and a hint of helplessness, noting that he had already invested time in teaching her and saw no harm in continuing to keep her by his side. After all, she was obedient and well-mannered, making her presence tolerable. Besides, as she grew older, she could still be of use in various ways.
Upon hearing this explanation, Yaoyao’s smile returned, reflecting her contentment. Perhaps, she mused, she could even lean on him for support in the future, albeit in a half-joking manner. Nonetheless, Gu Changge’s gesture of providing her with ample information to anticipate Jiang Yang’s actions demonstrated his trust in her intelligence and discernment.
Under these circumstances, what Jiang Yang said to Yaoyao was essentially sowing seeds of discord. However, Yaoyao’s trust in Gu Changge was unwavering, especially now that she harbored deep anger towards whoever had taken possession of her brother’s body.
Suddenly, the power of the Dao Fruit surged within her. Gu Changge, unfazed, wore a playful smile. “Now I’ll just sit back and watch the show,” he remarked. “Jiang Yang, Jiang Yang, as the reincarnation of the human ancestor, let’s see what tricks you have up your sleeve to pacify the enraged Yaoyao…”
Observing through the eyes of the Dharma demonic body, Gu Changge witnessed a myriad of scenes. With that, he halted his steps and swiftly departed the scene, the void distorting momentarily as he made his way to the ancient city outside the Immortal Lun Sect.
On the bustling street, as Jiang Yang finished speaking, Yaoyao’s expression underwent a sudden shift, her aura commanding the attention of the entire world. The sky quivered, the balance of power overturned, instilling fear and trepidation in all cultivators and creatures, who found themselves involuntarily kneeling on the ground.
“Yaoyao…” The silver-haired granny at her side felt the abrupt change and her expression turned grave.
Jiang Yang reacted swiftly, his expression shifting rapidly in disbelief.
Buzz!!
Sensing the impending danger, he summoned runes that coalesced in his hands, forming elaborate ancient text that filled the air densely, serving as a barrier against the looming threat.
However, Yaoyao’s eyes resembled an ancient, unforgiving cosmos, devoid of anything but indifference. She seemed to hover in the void, and with a raise of her small hand, a terrifying pressure descended, as if the very heavens and earth were rolling back, threatening to annihilate all living creatures.
“Not good…” Supreme Elder Zhao Yi’s expression behind Jiang Yang shifted, a desperate attempt to intervene halted as she suddenly expelled a mouthful of blood.
Yaoyao casually brought her palm down, as if striking at the void itself, unleashing a monstrous wave. With a scream, Zhao Yi was sent hurtling, her body torn asunder, blood mist scattering, a sight of utter desolation.
In an instant, a formidable figure in the Great Sacred Realm was dealt a devastating blow.
“How could this be…” Jiang Yang’s expression changed rapidly. Reacting swiftly, he evaded backward with remarkable speed, melding with the ground beneath his feet. Though his swiftness matched Zhao Yi’s, his defense was lacking.
With a resounding click, the void ruptured. Jiang Yang too coughed up blood, propelled by Yaoyao’s strike, crashing into a nearby building, stirring a cloud of dust.
As Yaoyao’s strength waned, she descended from the void, her eyes wide with confusion, as if she couldn’t grasp what had just transpired. But instead of plummeting to the ground, she found herself enveloped in a warm embrace.
Spotting the figure behind her, Yaoyao uttered a murmured voice, “Master…”
