I Am the Fated Villain - Chapter 332
Chapter 332: If the future is willing to do this, how dare you hurt her?
“How did you get here?” Zi Yang Heavenly King frowned and asked. “This isn’t the place you should be. I advise you to go back.”
However, Gu Xian’er had already discerned their intentions and remained unmoved. Her eyes were cold and filled with menace. “You don’t need to pretend anymore. Tell me, why did you bring me here? Are you trying to sow discord between me and Gu Changge, and provoke me into dealing with him? That only suggests you’re overthinking.”
Gu Xian’er’s voice was icy, devoid of emotion. Hearing this, Qin Wuya and Zi Yang Heavenly King exchanged glances, their brows furrowing.
Eventually, Heavenly King Zi Yang sighed. “My senior brother and I are actually doing this for your good.” He decided to come clean. Qin Wuya remained silent.
They understood that their previous plans were now futile. Gu Xian’er frowned. “What do you mean?”
“As you’ve already heard, Gu Changge is actually the true inheritor of demonic arts. Sooner or later, he will turn against you, consuming your essence and everything else.”
“And you, you’re the junior sister of my past life, but you’re unaware of this fact.”
“Do you recall the day in front of the mountain gate of True Immortal Academy? Why did I intervene? I merely sought to help you regain memories of your past life. If you don’t believe me, then I have no other option.”
Zi Yang Heavenly King’s demeanor returned to composure as he fixed his gaze on Gu Xian’er, prepared to divulge everything he knew and understood.
“Past life?” Gu Xian’er’s brows remained furrowed as she heard the words, and from her expression, it was hard to tell whether she believed it or not. To be honest, Zi Yang Heavenly King’s words had a profound impact on her. She pondered the intentions of Zi Yang Heavenly King and Qin Wuya, but she hadn’t anticipated such a revelation.
“In our previous life, we were all disciples of the Boundless Dao Sect. I was the senior brother and Junior Brother, Ziyang, and you were both direct disciples of my master. In our last life, your name was Dao Xian,” Qin Wuya added, hoping that these words would trigger some recollection in Gu Xian’er.
However, Gu Xian’er’s expression remained cold and impassive, showing no sign of recognition.
“Have you finished speaking?” she asked icily.
The name Dao Xian, mentioned by Qin Wuya just now, came as a surprise to her. She hadn’t expected it to be her previous name. It seemed incredible, almost surreal. Was reincarnation truly a reality in this world?
“This is the water of Reincarnation Lake. It can restore memories of past lives. If you don’t believe it, you can drink it,” Qin Wuya interjected again, producing a small white jade bottle from his sleeve and offering it to Gu Xian’er. The bottle emitted a radiant brilliance, tinged with silver-white, filling the air with the essence of reincarnation.
“The water of Reincarnation Lake?” Gu Xian’er frowned and didn’t reach for it. She still couldn’t trust Qin Wuya and Zi Yang Heavenly King. As for whether it was truly water from Reincarnation Lake, she had no means to verify it.
However, these words only deepened Gu Xian’er’s doubts. What were their intentions? Even setting aside the truth of her past life, their current actions seemed dubious at best.
“If you still doubt it, let me show you what I witnessed with my Immortal Eye,” Zi Yang Heavenly King exclaimed, noticing Gu Xian’er’s silence and assuming she was pondering deeply.
Simultaneously, a golden pattern materialized between his eyebrows, emitting a dazzling divine light. Though he couldn’t utilize the true power of his Immortal Dao eye at that moment, recreating what he had seen wasn’t difficult.
He believed that if Gu Xian’er could witness these scenes, she would undoubtedly question Gu Changge and might reconsider her trust in him.
As Zi Yang Heavenly King spoke, bursts of brilliance appeared in the void before him, accompanied by images. In a dark and dank dungeon, a young girl, beautiful yet chained, hung from the wall, bloodied but defiant.
Standing before her was a man with a handsome face, clad in pristine white robes, his aura pure as jade, seemingly untouched by the world’s impurities. In his hand, he held a small white jade bowl filled with what appeared to be thick, malevolent blood.
Witnessing this scene, Gu Xian’er fell into silence.
Suddenly, her delicate body trembled, her face draining of color as if all the blood had been sucked from her veins.
“Bullshit, I’m going to kill you,” she snarled coldly, summoning her jade sword, which shot forth from her hand, gleaming crystal-clear with a chilling edge that sliced through the air toward Zi Yang Heavenly King, as if intent on ending him then and there.
“These are glimpses of the future seen through my immortal eyes. Gu Changge may seem caring and sincere to you, but he’s the true heir of demonic arts. Why won’t you trust us? Me and Senior Brother can’t harm you,” Zi Yang Heavenly King interjected, his expression darkening.
As he spoke, he rolled up his sleeves, releasing a torrent of purple energy that poured from the sky, intercepting Gu Xian’er’s attack. With his current strength, suppressing her without resorting to force wasn’t difficult. Yet, he refrained, still attempting to persuade her, hoping she would see reason and let go of her fixation.
“Other than stirring up trouble between me and Gu Changge, do you have any other abilities? If that’s my future, then so be it,” Gu Xian’er’s voice remained icy, devoid of emotion.
Boom!
The jade sword pierced through the void, its impact shattering everything in its vicinity. Mountains crumbled, and the surrounding laws of nature became turbulent and vast, bursting forth with a kaleidoscope of dazzling lights.
Hearing Gu Xian’er’s words, Heavenly King Zi Yang’s complexion contorted into a mask of anger, gloom, and hatred, overshadowed by jealousy and resentment. “Why? What is this all for? I’ve been nothing but kind to you, yet Gu Changge is hell-bent on harming you…”
He nearly roared, taken aback by Gu Xian’er’s accusation. Enveloped in flames of jealousy, Heavenly King Zi Yang abandoned all restraint, driven by the desire to subdue Gu Xian’er and force her to drink from the Reincarnation Lake.
In the ensuing chaos, divine laws intertwined, and the air crackled with a dazzling array of lights. A purple aura, reminiscent of the primordial chaos, shrouded the sky, crackling with thunder that seemed capable of rending reality itself.
Gu Xian’er fought back with all her might, her expression icy and determined. Meanwhile, Qin Wuya remained on the sidelines, watching attentively and warding off any disturbances to prevent other cultivators and geniuses from being drawn into the fray.
Boom!
The battle escalated, each explosion reverberating like the beat of an immortal drum, shaking the very fabric of the universe. The ruins erupted into chaos, dao evolving and laws condensing.
Gu Xian’er’s immortal essence surged forth, manifesting as the embodiment of a supreme, truly immortal, imposing her will over everything. Meanwhile, Zi Yang Heavenly King’s Hongmeng Dao bone emerged, its boundless purple energy resembling a galaxy unleashed in its fury.
Finally, amidst the tumultuous clash, a resounding shock echoed through the void, and crimson blood stained the air.
Gu Xian’er was sent flying, blood staining the corners of her mouth and skirt, her expression remaining cold. Despite her efforts, her weaker realm left her at a distinct disadvantage against Zi Yang Heavenly King.
“Junior Sister Xian’er, you’re no match for me. Don’t resist; just surrender,” Zi Yang Heavenly King declared, his purple robe billowing as he hovered in the sky. His calm demeanor had returned after the initial clash.
But before he could finish his sentence, Qin Wuya’s expression suddenly changed, and he cried out, “No, get out of the way!”
Boom!
In the next instant, the force of universal destruction descended, causing the void to erupt in chaos. Zi Yang Heavenly King caught off guard, attempted to turn back in fear, but the sudden onslaught overwhelmed him. His body exploded with a loud bang, blood spraying in all directions.
“You dare harm her? You seek death!” A figure emerged from the void, a palm descending from the heavens like the wrath of ancient gods, imbued with the power of countless stars.
His visage was as cold as ice, seemingly ancient beyond measure, sending shivers down the spine of all who beheld him.
