Chapter 30: The Domineering Side of the Queen! He vomited blood!
Soon, the team of Templar Knights arrived in front of the two carriages.
He should just come here with the Queen of the Crescent. I didn’t do anything excessive, just provoked an earl. Even if the Queen of the Crescent is a saint, she can’t punish me, the protagonist thought.
His heart quickly settled down again. Although he didn’t feel good, after careful consideration, he felt it was very possible for him to survive this crisis.
In his opinion, it was possible that Su Mo was with the Crescent Queen. He provoked Su Mo, and then Su Mo sued the Queen of the Crescent Moon.
After all, Su Mo was an earl. The earl was not too big, but not too small either. It could be said to be the backbone of a kingdom. Therefore, the Queen of the Crescent would intervene in the face of Su Mo’s complaint.
The protagonist was not willing to break his promise. He was not willing to lie. Although he had the help of Golden Finger and his growth rate was fast, the time was still too short. His strength was not too strong, and if he lied, it would be easy to be detected by the people of the Holy See. It would only lead to further provocation of the Earl.
The provocation was real. When the time came, he could come up with another reason, such as having a feud with Su Mo before, so he showed a little provocation on his face. This would not be a big deal.
After carefully considering his options, the protagonist let go of his worries. He couldn’t think of anything else to do in this situation.
“Humph, make a big fuss out of nothing. Wait until I grow up, and then I’ll kill you and your dogs!” The protagonist let out a light snort. He had provoked other villains before, and in his opinion, they would not let him go n, even if he didn’t provoke them. Besides, he enjoyed seeing the villains look furious but unable to get rid of him.
Thinking of this, he glanced at the Crescent Queen again. “Sooner or later, I’ll have you in my grasp!” The protagonist had quite a lot of thoughts about the Crescent Queen.
After all, she was so beautiful that before he had crossed over, even the internet celebrities with Level 10 or even Level 100 beauty were not half as beautiful as her! Moreover, she had status and status bonuses, which had directly doubled her charm and attractiveness several times.
“Saint, the Eighth Team of the Third Templar Reserve Regiment is reporting to you,” the captain of the Temple Knights reported loudly to the Queen of the Crescent Moon.
The captain was not aware of the situation yet. To them, the Crescent Queen’s status as a saint was much more important than her status as a queen. So, when they saw the Crescent Queen, they only addressed her as “saint” and not “queen.” The Crescent Queen glanced at the protagonist but said nothing.
Seeing that the Crescent Queen didn’t speak and her face was a little cold, the captain of this team of Temple Knights was confused. He didn’t understand what was going on. The Crescent Queen didn’t say anything, and he didn’t dare to leave, so he stood up straight and waited for her instructions. It didn’t take long before a carriage drove over quickly in the distance. When the protagonist saw the flag on the carriage, his expression changed again.
“Even the people from the court have been called?” The protagonist’s initial optimism faded away. The Inquisition… that was the Inquisition, equivalent to a law enforcement agency in the Holy See. They didn’t judge ordinary people or even care about criminals. They judged heretics in the Crescent Kingdom and supervised the people in the Holy See.
In addition, preventing demons from bewitching people’s hearts was also an essential part of their job. However, there were very few heretics at present since there was more than one God, and if some people believed in other gods, they would often secretly go to the kingdom of that god, and the tribunal could not judge matters of other realms. People in the Holy See were terrified of the Inquisition.
“So, what if the Inquisition’s people come? I don’t believe that a few expressions and gazes can put me to death. Humph, I’m a protagonist with more than 100 luck!” The protagonist tried to reassure himself.
Soon, people from the Inquisition arrived, and there were two of them wearing dull black robes with a logo embroidered on the neckline that made people feel uneasy just by looking at it.
“The presiding judge…” The protagonist recognised one of them, and even though he was sure that he would be fine, his heart sank. Even people at the presiding judge level were dispatched. He didn’t even need to think about it… This was the order of the saint, and the level of the people dispatched must not be too low.
“Saint, what are your orders?” Asked the presiding judge, who didn’t talk nonsense and went straight to the point.
The Crescent Queen did not even look at Su Mo. Instead, her gaze swept over the Knights of the Temple, making the hearts of the preparatory knights tense as she passed over them. Though they were confused and unsure of what had happened, the fact that even the referees were being mobilised for this battle indicated that something significant had occurred.
After a moment, the Crescent Queen’s gaze settled on the protagonist. She held it for a second before turning to address the presiding judge.
“Presiding Judge Chris, may I ask whether it is acceptable for even the reserve knights of the Holy See to disrespect and blaspheme me with their disgusting looks simply because I am about to step down as a saint?” she asked coldly.
The Crescent Queen’s cold words shocked the protagonist, causing his complexion to change drastically. He never expected that the Queen of the New Moon would take his provocation against Su Mo and claim it as her own. This move was ruthless and had far-reaching consequences, as the Crescent Queen’s words carried more weight than if it had been a mere provocation against an earl.
The presiding judge, Chris, was also shocked by the Crescent Queen’s words, as they were unusually heavy for her. He quickly tried to calm her down and promised to give her an explanation. Then, he turned to the protagonist and demanded to know who was responsible for the disrespect towards the saint.
The protagonist could no longer deny his wrongdoing and claimed that he was wronged and did not mean to disrespect the saint. However, it was too late to backpedal, as his actions had already caused a significant stir.
The protagonist quickly prepared to clarify, but before he could speak, the presiding judge, Chris, suddenly moved. The protagonist was hit hard and spat out a mouthful of blood, and a rope appeared out of nowhere to bind him.
“Saint, this son has been captured by me. Please send me to the saint,” said presiding Judge Chris, addressing the Crescent Queen.
The Crescent Queen glanced at the captured protagonist and then turned her gaze to Su Mo, who pointed to himself with no trace of emotion. The Crescent Queen instantly understood what had happened.
“This person is not only disrespectful to me but also to the Earl of Blackstone Territory. He should be expelled from the Knights and handed over to the Earl of Blackstone Territory,” the Crescent Queen said lightly.
“Handed over to the Earl of Blackstone Territory?” Presiding Judge Chris was taken aback. People in the Holy See, even if they make mistakes, should be dealt with by the Holy See.
“The Earl of Blackstone Territory will handle it for me. Is there a problem, Presiding Judge Chris? I’m afraid you don’t know yet. The Earl of Blackstone Territory will also participate in this blessing ceremony. After he handles the matter, he will lead the ceremony,” the Crescent Queen said. She re-boarded the carriage without giving Presiding Judge Chris any chance to respond.
Presiding Judge Chris still wanted to speak, but he had no opportunity. The words of the Crescent Queen obviously had an effect. It was said that Su Mo managed it on her behalf, and being able to participate in the blessing ceremony was also a symbol of pious faith.
So, presiding judge Chris finally accepted this plan.
“I’ll hold the individual first, and when the Earl is finished with the matter, just come to me at the Inquisition to pick up the person,” he said to Su Mo.
“Pfft~”
The protagonist, who had just recovered from the concussion, anxiously vomited a mouthful of blood upon hearing Presiding Judge Chris’ words!
