Chapter 35: The Big Action of the Villain Alliance!
When the Little Spike Demon God finished speaking, a wave of mental fluctuations came from a demon insect in Barbara’s hand.
“Spike, what is it? Speak up,” Su Mo transmitted through the mother-child magic insect. Though weak, it was enough for communication. Sensing Su Mo’s mental fluctuations, Spike Demon God said, “Phantom Demon God, would you like to join forces for a venture?”
“What kind of venture?” Su Mo asked calmly.
“The bait I set in the world of gods has been activated. Some intelligent and ambitious individuals want to strike a deal with me. They will use the blood sacrifice method to help me open the passage,” the Spike Demon replied.
“Oh?” Su Mo frowned in the room.
In the realm of the gods, someone wished to make a trade with the Demon God. However, dealing with the Demon God typically leads to unfavourable outcomes. Additionally, it was not a simple task for the Demon God to descend to the world of the gods. The more powerful the entity, the larger the channel required for descent. While Su Mo might be able to penetrate the abyss within their territory freely, this was only possible because Su Mo’s phantom bloodline could be concealed at will.
When the phantom bloodline was hidden, the passages required for Su Mo were much smaller. Other Demon Gods were unable to do the same. It was much more challenging for them to reach the world of the gods, as they required a larger passage. Even the gods from the heavens face restrictions when descending to the realm of the gods, so there was no logical reason why Demon Gods could easily descend. It was important to note that Su Mo was simply an example and should not be taken as a point of reference.
The Spike Demon God exclaimed excitedly, “The location should be the Crescent Kingdom. That area is under the rule of the Seven Moons Goddesses. The Seven Moon Goddesses have been at odds for a long time. The Crescent Goddess may not have any support in the near future. We can collaborate and make a powerful move!”
Su Mo’s facial expression was peculiar upon hearing this plan. “So, this is what they’re planning… quite audacious,” Su Mo whispered to themselves in the room. After the Spike Demon God mentioned the Crescent Kingdom, Su Mo immediately thought of the villain alliance. They had given Su Mo a sense of unease, and they seemed to be preparing for a big move.
Initially, Su Mo was trying to figure out what the villains were up to. They demonstrated sanctuary-level combat power, but a sanctuary alone wouldn’t cause chaos in the capital.
Now, Su Mo understood their intentions. They were preparing to deal with the Demon God in the Abyss. They didn’t hesitate to sacrifice blood to create a channel for the Demon God.
“If the situation worsens, they’ll take advantage of the chaos and attack all the heroes!” Su Mo effortlessly pieced together their plans.
The status of these protagonists was still too low despite their rapid growth. The short timeframe meant that they could not significantly improve their abilities. Even if nothing else happened, it would still be challenging for this alliance of villains to handle so many protagonists.
But what if something more significant occurred, such as a demon invasion? In such a scenario, the Crescent Kingdom would be in chaos. This villainous alliance could take advantage of the situation by using the Sanctuary to kill the protagonists of lower status. This would not only be an easy task but there would also be no issues to worry about.
Ordinary people were not qualified to trade with demon gods and were easily detected, but these nobles were different. They were all significant figures in the Crescent Kingdom, with vast resources at their disposal. Moreover, they were travellers who likely had made preparations to avoid being implicated.
“The travellers truly have no scruples,” Su Mo said softly. Many would perish even if the demons were repelled, but these few individuals did not seem to care much about that.
If executed correctly, it would not be difficult to kill more than half of the protagonists in the capital, if not all of them. Additionally, the number of protagonists entering the capital was increasing every day. By eliminating the most challenging protagonists in the kingdom and obtaining their “golden fingers,” the villains could accelerate their growth.
During the chaos of the demon invasion, the villains could take advantage of the situation and use the Sanctuary to locate and eliminate protagonists in other areas, potentially wiping out all the protagonists in the Crescent Kingdom.
These villains were audacious and not afraid to take significant risks. He would not have discovered their plan if it were not for the Spike Demon God’s intervention in finding Su Mo. The situation was fascinating, and a few people in the villain alliance did not anticipate this. Interestingly, the Demon God they contacted was none other than the Spike Demon God, whom Su Mo happened to know.
