I Spread Pokemon All Over the World - Chapter 48
Chapter 48: This is another big foodie!
Without a doubt, Guxin’s elf videos on the small platform are trending again, especially the one he just posted tonight. The two rounds of battles have allowed viewers to see more elves, and there was even a dramatic showdown between Chu Kelian and Bai Qianqian, known as the “Goddess Showdown.”
As two prominent figures in the city of magic, Chu Kelian and Bai Qianqian have truly gained fame. Especially Chu Kelian… After her last video, where she broke through Lin Sheng’s defenses, she had every reason to be proud.
“Hehehe! Do you all realize how amazing I am now?” Chu Kelian lay on her bed, holding her Charmander, watching the barrage of comments with a happy smile.
As for the comments from some people saying things like “she’s just lucky,” “lacks sportsmanship,” or “it’s unfair to poor Squirtle,” Chu Kelian simply filtered them out.
Come on, why so serious? It’s not my fault that my Trapinch managed to flip that Squirtle over. Blame the Squirtle for having such a big turtle shell!
“Hmm? What’s burning?” Chu Kelian raised her small nose and blinked in confusion, but the next moment, her gaze fixed on her bedsheet.
“Ah ah ah! Charmander, your tail!”
“Char! Char!”
The next moment, a sharp cry of terror echoed from the cozy room, accompanied by Charmander’s panicked cries.
Well, this was destined to be an eventful night…
The next day was another sunny and beautiful day. Guxin opened his shop door and stretched lazily, loosening his muscles.
“I hope today is another good day,” Guxin thought as he lit a cigarette. After all, business was booming yesterday.
“Oh, boss, you’re surprisingly punctual today,” a teasing voice came from afar.
“Haha, Mr. Chen, you’re early today too,” Guxin turned to see Chen Yun, dressed in a suit and looking like a successful businessman, along with a young woman who appeared to be his employee or secretary.
Guxin had learned from the group chat that Chen Yun was the CEO of a company, a typical second-generation entrepreneur.
“It’s not that early. I’ve already finished my work at the company. I just thought I’d come by and take care of your business while it’s not too busy,” Chen Yun said with a smile. It was already past ten in the morning…
“By the way, this is my secretary, Ouyang Xin. Today, she wants to purchase an elf from your shop, boss.”
“Hello, boss,” Ouyang Xin said curiously, looking at Guxin, and nodded politely.
“Hello. Please come in,” Guxin smiled. He liked customers like this who actively approached him.
Once inside the shop, Guxin greeted Diancie. “I assume Mr. Chen is already familiar with the process.”
“Of course,” Chen Yun quickly and skillfully brought out his Pokédex and recorded the information about a Manaphy. He then took the Pokédex offered by Diancie and nodded.
Ouyang Xin, on the other hand, was amazed by the well-behaved and elegant Diancie. She now believed that Larvitar, who was mischievous, was an exception!
Yesterday, Larvitar completely chewed up three office desks belonging to Chen Yun, leaving a vivid memory for Ouyang Xin. She was truly a master of destruction when it came to furniture.
“Well then, let’s get started. Let’s see what Mr. Chen can draw this time,” Guxin handed them both a glass of water, smiling at Chen Yun.
“With my luck, maybe I can get another quasi-legendary this time,” Chen Yun joked.
Guxin chuckled awkwardly. Chen Yun had quite a sense of humor. He wondered why Chen Yun, who already had a Larvitar, was eager to draw another Pokémon.
“Go for it!”
Chen Yun didn’t hesitate and started the Pokémon draw, his eyes fixed on the screen as the shadows flickered.
Ouyang Xin couldn’t help but lean in, curious about this Pokémon lottery.
The shadows continued to flicker until they finally settled.
“Uh… Boss, what is this?” Chen Yun was puzzled when he saw the Pokémon on the screen.
“It’s Spinarak, a Bug and Electric-type Pokémon,” Guxin replied, looking at the blue spider-like creature on the screen. “It’s decent but not particularly strong.”
Spinarak’s final evolution is Ariados, and in terms of strength, it’s not exceptional.
“In that case, I’ll try again,” Chen Yun said without hesitation, clearly unimpressed with Spinarak’s stats.
Ouyang Xin thought to herself, “Again?”
She might understand if it had been a powerful Pokémon, but to Chen Yun’s credit, he was quite picky.
Guxin didn’t seem surprised and continued scrolling through his phone, ordering takeout.
“Boss, how about this one?” Chen Yun asked again when the screen stopped flickering.
“Let me see… Oh, this is a good one,” Guxin raised an eyebrow, looking at the creature on the screen. “It’s called Aron, a Rock and Steel-type Pokémon, and it has great potential.”
Guxin smiled as he introduced Aron to Chen Yun. Chen Yun had really good luck this time, as Aron had strong potential. Its final evolution, Aggron, was a powerful Pokémon, especially considering its ability to undergo Gigantamax transformation.
However, Guxin couldn’t help but give Chen Yun a strange look, as if he had something to say but hesitated.
“Rock and Steel type, huh,” Chen Yun’s eyes lit up. Thanks to Larvitar, he had developed a liking for Rock-type Pokémon. And the fact that Aron also had a Steel attribute was a bonus.
“It looks kind of cute,” Ouyang Xin leaned in to observe more closely. Aron was a small quadruped creature with white steel armor covering parts of its body, blue eyes, and a grayish body.
“It’s settled, boss!” Chen Yun said decisively. If the boss said this Steel-type creature had great potential, there was no reason to pass it up.
“Please wait a moment,” Guxin said as he walked to a separate shop area. Within seconds, he returned with a slowly crawling creature.
Chen Yun immediately raised his Pokédex.
“Ding~ Aron, a Steel and Rock-type Pokémon, Iron Armor Pokémon. Ability: Heavy Metal. Moves: Tackle, Harden, Metal Claw. A Pokémon that loves to eat iron ore in the mountains to build a steel body, but it occasionally eats bridges and railway tracks.”
The synthesized voice from the Pokédex rang in the ears of the three. Chen Yun stared at the Pokédex, his smile fading.
Eating iron ore, and occasionally bridges and railway tracks?
Ouyang Xin couldn’t help but comment, “So, it’s another big eater, huh?”
She glanced at Larvitar, who was still chowing down on food at Chen Yun’s feet.
“Well… Strictly speaking, Aron might be an even bigger eater than Larvitar,” Guxin replied with an awkward but polite smile. This was why he hesitated earlier – because Aron was an even bigger foodie than Larvitar.
The power of a food-loving Pokémon was truly something to behold, especially when you read the Pokédex entry for Aron. Chen Yun was left speechless by the revelation.
