I Spread Pokemon All Over the World - Chapter 7
Chapter 7: Can It Turn into a Nine-Tailed Fox?
“It’s the era of the Internet. When will those traditional businesses stop waiting for customers to come to your door?”
In the Pokemon House, Diancie was sitting quietly and obediently watching Cat and Mouse while Guxin was lying on the front desk chair, looking at his phone and pouting.
As expected, Diancie’s video of jumping for joy in the “Pure Land of Bliss” became popular, or rather, it became even more popular than Guxin had imagined.
Well, it’s no wonder that Diancie’s irresistible cuteness captivated ordinary people, especially since she could dance otaku dances. Creating promotional videos was just a small tactic, but the video’s popularity was proving effective.
“I just wonder if the locals in the Magic City will really come to the store,” Guxin pondered to himself. But as soon as he had this thought…
Ding-ling~
The crisp and pleasant sound of the bell hanging on the door rang out.
A customer has arrived!
Guxin immediately stood up and turned his gaze toward the door. As expected, the door opened, revealing a refined and cultured young man wearing glasses and walking in slowly.
“Welcome,” Guxin patted his face, revealing his signature professional smile, and greeted him.
“Boss, you really have… Diancie!” The young man was Lin Sheng, and he curiously looked around the store, but his eyes locked onto Diancie as soon as he saw her.
And when Diancie heard someone calling his name, he turned his head and looked at Lin Sheng with a puzzled expression.
“It’s actually alive!” Lin Sheng murmured.
Witnessing Diancie’s movements with his own eyes, Lin Sheng couldn’t control his excitement. The video was real, after all!
Alive Diancie!
“Uh… Sir, that was rude to say,” Observing the situation, Guxin’s eyelid twitched, and he responded to Lin Sheng with an awkward but polite smile.
What did “It’s actually alive!” mean? Was it implying that it should be dead or something?
“I apologize. I also saw your video on Bilibili, so I got a bit excited when I saw Diancie with my eyes,” Lin Sheng realized his mistake and rubbed his nose, feeling a bit embarrassed.
“I understand. So, are you here as a customer looking to purchase a pet from our store?” Guxin didn’t take offense. After all, Lin Sheng’s reaction proved the impact Diancie had on people.
“Yes, I came to take a look, but Boss, your store..,” Lin Sheng adjusted his glasses and hesitated, looking around the store.
Where are the pets?
It was his first time feeling the desire to have a pet, but it was on the condition that Guxin claim whether the video was true.
“Our business model is a bit different from other pet stores. I believe that there is a natural affinity between pets and humans,” Guxin explained with a smile.
“So, the pet you have an affinity with will depend on you,” Guxin led Lin Sheng to the lounge area and handed him the Store Manager’s Pokedex.
“This is the Pokemon Pokedex. Please click on it to see what kind of partner you will get,” Guxin said to Lin Sheng.
Lin Sheng looked puzzled, but Guxin clarified, “I understand. Let me demonstrate.”
Though surprised by Guxin’s words, Lin Sheng decided to give it a try and tapped “go” on the Pokedex.
The screen of the Pokedex flickered with black shadows, and Lin Sheng focused intently on it. He was very interested in the “magical” pets that Guxin had mentioned earlier.
Will there really be pets as beautiful as Diancie?
The shadow gradually settled and became clear.
“Boss, this one.”
Upon seeing the image on the Pokedex, Lin Sheng was stunned, but his eyes lit up with excitement. He showed the Pokedex to Guxin.
“It seems you have incredible luck, sir,” Guxin raised his eyebrow as he saw the picture of the six-tailed normal form of Vulpix. While it may not be as stunningly beautiful as the Alolan Vulpix, it was undoubtedly an adorable little fox.
“Boss, is this real?” Lin Sheng eagerly asked Guxin, his interest growing the more he looked at the picture.
A fox! There are many fox pets in the world, but the little fox in the image seemed to have multiple tails!
“Of course, it’s real. Please wait a moment,” Guxin replied with a smile.
He then stepped into the cubicle, where he had to extract the Vulpix from the system. After all, how could he claim it to be magical otherwise? Or perhaps it was genuinely magical.
“Sir, this is the Vulpix you drew. What about you?” Guxin asked.
Guxin walked out from the cubicle a minute later, accompanied by a small, fluffy fox with six tails.
Lin Sheng’s eyes sparkled as he looked at the Vulpix. It was not very big, quite petite actually, with reddish-brown fur, brown eyes without pupils, prominent pointed ears, a small black nose, and six gracefully curved orange tails.
“I can’t believe there’s a small fox with six tails in the world,” Lin Sheng looked at the adorable little fox in amazement, and the joy in his eyes was almost overflowing.
“Wu~?”
Six-tailed Fox raised its head slightly and peered at Lin Sheng with curious brown eyes.
“When the Six-tailed Fox is born, it only possesses a single white tail. However, as it grows, its tail will split and become even more beautiful,” Guxin explained to Lin Sheng, introducing the distinctive characteristics of a Six-tailed Fox.
“But it’s still very small at the moment,” said Lin Sheng.
“Yes, strictly speaking, this Six-tailed Fox is still in its youth,” Guxin nodded in agreement.
“So, can it grow more tails in the future?” Lin Sheng asked curiously.
“Are you asking if a Six-tailed Fox will become a Nine-tailed Fox in the future?” Guxin chuckled. He could even guess what Lin Sheng was thinking at the moment.
After all, the myths and legends of Nine-tailed Foxes and Spirit Foxes were quite well-known in the history of the Great Daxia people.
“I can assure you that a Six-tailed Fox has the potential to evolve into a Nine-tailed Fox, but it requires a special method. However, since it’s still too young, it’s not suitable for forced evolution,” Guxin pondered for a moment before sharing this information with Lin Sheng.
“Six tails don’t evolve naturally. They need a Fire Stone to evolve into a Ninetales. However, this six-tailed creature is still too young, and it’s not suitable to force it to evolve at this stage.” Guxin explained.
“Can I hold it?” Lin Sheng asked.
As the store manager, Guxin possessed more authoritative knowledge about the Six-tailed Fox, so Lin Sheng didn’t continue to ask further questions. Besides, he was already astounded that he could have a Six-tailed Fox that had the potential to evolve into a Ninetales. At the moment, he simply wanted to get closer to the Vulpix.
“Of course you can, Six-tailed Fox is still quite gentle,” Guxin replied with a smile.
Lin Sheng carefully squatted down when he heard the words, and Vulpix continued to observe him curiously, sensing no malice from Lin Sheng and did not step back.
“So soft and comfortable!” Lin Sheng gently reached out, finally touching the fluff on the head of the Vulpix.
He gently stroked Vulpix’s little head. Lin Sheng’s eyes almost turned into love when he saw Vulpix close its eyes and show a comfortable expression.
Mom, this little fox is seducing me!!!
