Chapter 39: Emperor Jun was rejected. Xihe and Changxi have someone in their hearts!
Dijun, positioned above the Taiyin star, deliberately or inadvertently radiates a grand imperial aura, seemingly reflecting the majesty of the heavens. He introduced himself as Emperor Jun and admired the two Taiyin goddesses conceived on the Taiyin planet. He had come to propose marriage and eagerly awaited their response.
Since Emperor Jun took control of the Heavenly Court, he had been engaged in battles and displayed an imperial demeanor that exuded dominance. His confidence was unrivaled in terms of power and appearance, making him highly esteemed among the male immortals of the prehistoric era. His self-assured nature prompted him to approach the Taiyin Star for this proposal.
Soon, two elegant figures, cloaked in radiant starlight, emerge from the lunar star. One dons a green celestial garment, exuding grace and playfulness. The other maintained an air of indifference in a simple gown and light gauze skirt. These two figures were none other than the renowned Taiyin goddesses of the ancient world, Xihe, and Changxi.
Emperor Jun immediately recognized them and was captivated by their beauty. He greeted them with respect, acknowledging their fame among the monster tribe. Yet, Xihe and Changxi remain composed, and their cold demeanor revealed their knowledge of Emperor Jun’s intentions.
Emperor Jun didn’t beat around the bush and straightforwardly asked if they were willing to marry him. He confidently suggested they join the heavenly court and receive noble titles as empresses. However, their frowns and apparent displeasure take him by surprise.
Xihe, the elder sister, calmly conveyed that Emperor Jun could not be their husband, a sentiment echoed by Changxi. Emperor Jun was momentarily stunned, thinking he misheard.
“I am the Heavenly Court’s ruler, commanding countless creatures, revered as a quasi-saint, and beyond time and space. I am immortal. How can I not be your husband?” he protests, feeling slighted. “If I am unworthy, who in this vast wilderness is fit for the Taiyin goddesses?”
The situation took an unexpected turn since Daozu Hongjun disappeared into chaos. In today’s era, saints were a rarity, and quasi-saints were considered the most formidable combatants in the prehistoric land. The wrath of a Great Luo was capable of catastrophic destruction, shattering both the world and the universe, even bringing down the heavens and worlds.
Amidst Zhunsheng’s contemplations, he pondered the power to obliterate millions of Luos, not to mention the vast strength at his disposal as Emperor Jun, the respected Heavenly Emperor with countless formidable beings under his command. Just his mere presence could shake the entire prehistoric world.
However, Ke Xihe’s rejection of him as a husband leaves him incensed. How could Dijun accept this dismissal? His body radiates a fearsome aura, displaying the authority of an emperor, and his desire to understand the criteria for Xihe and Changxi’s choice intensifies.
“In my heart, there is only one person who can be my husband,” Xihe states with a cold expression, her gaze fixed on the boundless starry sky, her eyes shimmering with memories.
Changxi also appeared lost in thought, her eyes reflecting a blend of anticipation and shyness. She described this person as possessing an exquisite temperament, extraordinary handsomeness, and profound, unfathomable cultivation. Every gesture he made exuded unparalleled elegance and charisma, making him a true peerless young master.
Dijun, puzzled, inquired about the identity of this exceptional man. “Who is it?” He asked, eager to know if such a remarkable figure existed.
Xihe and Changxi revealed they only knew about his name, Ye Xiu. They were unaware of his whereabouts and identity but mention a resurgence of an aura that matches that of the old man, presumably Ye Xiu, in the prehistoric world. This compeled them to embark on a quest to find him in Honghuang.
“Ye Xiu? This name rings a bell..,” Dijun muttered, his brows furrowing as he tried to recollect information about this person.
After a moment, his expression shifted drastically, and he expressed surprise. “Ye Xiu… isn’t that the enigmatic powerhouse on Buzhou Mountain, the master of the heavens, Ye Xiu!?”
He found it incredulous that Ye Xiu could be the one they seek.
