Chapter 12: The Fall into the Depths!

Zzt!

As Garp’s voice fell, the purple-black light in his eyes seemed to take on a solid form, roaring outward. Lightning crackled violently through the air, streaking across the sky. The next moment, all that terrifying energy gathered at Garp’s right fist, which had turned an ominous shade of purple-black. The power raged wildly, but instead of escaping, it was tightly bound to his fist, as if sealed within, waiting to be unleashed.

“T-This is…!”

Ace stared at the terrifying surge of Conqueror’s Haki, feeling his own Haki being awakened in response.

“Watch closely, Ace!”

Swish! Swoosh!

With a single step, Garp shot into the sky, dozens of meters above the ground. Using his Observation Haki to gauge the perfect distance, ensuring Ace wouldn’t be harmed, a grin spread across Garp’s face. Then his right fist came crashing down. Immediately after, the imprisoned energy around his fist was released like a caged beast breaking free.

BOOM!!!

A deafening roar erupted as the devastating energy tore through the air— The very ground below crumbled like brittle stone. Chunks of the shattered earth soared high, only to be reduced to dust by the sheer force of the attack.

“Fall into the Depths!”

Garp’s grin widened as his fist slammed down.

Ace stared at the destroyed terrain before him, his mind reeling in shock.

This was Conqueror’s Haki Infusion, the legendary power Kaido had spoken of. Though he had read about it in his past life, witnessing it firsthand was an entirely different experience.

A force beyond reason— A power that reigns above all. Huff!

As Ace processed this revelation, his vision suddenly blurred.  He found himself in the depths of a dense forest. A warrior in samurai armor was sent flying by a purple-black slash.

Kozuki Oden?!

Ace’s mind trembled.

This scene—

“Damn it! What’s going on?! I won’t accept this!”

Oden, struggling to his feet, roared in defiance before charging forward once more.

But just then, from within the forest, a towering figure leaped forth, forcing Oden to halt in his tracks.

Whitebeard! Edward Newgate!

“So, he’s here…”

Ace’s lips curled into an involuntary grin.

His pupils gleamed with a violent red hue, which then surged outward, coating the sword in his hands.

BOOM!

The surrounding air crackled as waves of purple-red Haki erupted from him— His first step shattered the ground beneath him.

“Roger!”

Whitebeard’s deep laughter rang out— His own Conqueror’s Haki infused into Murakumogiri.

Ace and Whitebeard slashed simultaneously.

BOOM!

Their blades never touched. Yet, the resulting shockwave threatened to split the entire island apart.

“T-They didn’t even make contact…!”

Far off, Oden struggled to keep his eyes open against the fierce energy clashing before him.

“Hahahaha!”

“Gurararara!”

Laughter echoed as neither Ace nor Whitebeard held back, their Conqueror’s Haki clashing in full force.

BOOM!!!

CRACK! CRACK! BOOM!

Violent purple-black lightning raged in the sky.  Even the air itself seemed to be torn apart by the sheer force of the battle.

The land fragmented, waves towering in the distance, crew members from both the Roger Pirates and the Whitebeard Pirates were thrown off their feet by the overwhelming pressure.

Even the sky seemed to split in two.

Huff!

In an instant, the vision shattered—

Ace’s consciousness returned to the nameless island.
