Chapter 6: Reasonable? Reasonable My Foot!
Ace felt warmth coursing through his body as the food he had consumed was rapidly digested. The energy from the meal was absorbed by his cells at an incredible rate.
“So this is Complete Absorption?”
Ace instinctively clenched his fist, feeling an immediate surge in strength. Just by eating, his physical capabilities had grown significantly. It seemed he had now joined the ranks of the monsters of the One Piece world. From what he recalled, those who were considered monsters in this world all possessed an extraordinary digestive and absorptive capacity. Endless food, rapidly digested, was the foundation of their superhuman physiques. But his ability—Complete Absorption—processed nutrients instantaneously, far surpassing their natural limits.
Ace was highly satisfied with his new skill. Most importantly, he no longer had to go through the infant stage and drink milk. Just imagining Dadan feeding him milk made him shudder.
“Boss, is it just me, or did this brat just grow a little?” While Dadan was still in shock, the short bandit, Dogra, spoke hesitantly. “I-It does seem that way…” Dadan scrutinized Ace closely, her voice laced with disbelief. Years of being a bandit had honed her instincts, and she could tell that Ace had indeed grown slightly taller.
Impossible! Even the offspring of Sea Kings wouldn’t grow visibly after just one meal!
“W-Well, it’s expected, isn’t it? After all, he was brought here by Vice Admiral Garp. Of course, he’s different.”
Unlike Dadan, the rest of the bandits accepted this fact with remarkable ease. It made perfect sense to them. After all, it was Garp. If something incomprehensible happened to a baby he delivered, it was completely normal.

Dadan subconsciously nodded in agreement—then snapped back to reality. Reasonable? Reasonable my foot! Since when did newborns start speaking on their own?!
“Uncle, could you help me with something?” Ace turned to the strongest-looking bandit in the group, Magra, speaking politely.
“Me?”
Magra pointed to himself, unsure, but after seeing Ace’s firm gaze, he hesitated before stepping forward. “Can I punch you? I feel like I’ve gotten stronger.” Ace asked sincerely. “Huh?” Magra blinked in confusion, but looking at the well-mannered child, he chuckled.
“Go ahead, take your best shot! Hahaha!” Magra laughed heartily, patting his belly, thinking it was just a child’s game. “Then, excuse me.” Ace bowed politely. “Such a well-mannered kid!” The bandits found themselves liking Ace more. Even Magra smiled. “Alright, let’s see what you got—Guh!”
Before Magra could finish, a terrifying force crashed into his stomach. A split second later, he was sent flying, slamming into the wall.
“!!!”
Dadan and the bandits stared, their jaws practically hitting the ground not sure how to react to what they had just witnessed. A newborn—a baby not even ten days old—had sent their strongest member flying with a single punch.
“Hmm, not bad.”
Ace examined his fist, satisfied. He had continuously practiced Battle Hibernation even before birth. With the additional boost from Complete Absorption, knocking an ordinary adult away was well within his ability.
“Sorry about that. I didn’t expect my punch to be that strong.”
As Dadan and the others remained frozen in shock, Ace calmly walked over and helped Magra up, flashing an apologetic smile. “I-It’s fine…” Magra forced out a weak grin. Even if Ace weren’t Garp’s grandson, he couldn’t possibly be offended by a baby who just knocked him out.
“Eating a meal and gaining strength—seems reasonable, right?” Ace turned his polite smile toward the dumbstruck Dadan and bandits. Now, even those who had initially found everything reasonable had twitches at the corners of their mouths.
Reasonable my foot! What kind of monster is this kid?!
Regardless of their thoughts, Ace had now settled into his new home with Dadan and the bandits.
