Northern Myanmar: Bloodshed in the Golden Triangle, Have I Become a General? - Chapter 32
Chapter 32: Zhao Ning’s Confused Infatuation
“Get those two armed pickup trucks out!”
Previously, he had prepared four armed pickup trucks. Zhao Renzhou had sent two over as a precaution against retaliation from the Shan armed forces. Now they came in handy.
Everyone in the base was on the move, and the scene looked somewhat chaotic. This chaos infuriated Zhao Hu.
“Damn it!”
“People who haven’t been trained are useless.”
On his phone, Zhao Hu said, “Hold on over there!”
“We’re sending help right away!”
With that, he rushed into the chaotic crowd, pushing aside those crowded together. As Zhao Hu directed and cursed, he got into one of the vehicles.
It might be chaotic, but as long as they assembled, it was fine. Once Zhao Hu saw that the assembly was nearly complete, he gave his subordinates the address, then waved his hand and said, “Let’s go!”
The armed pickup trucks started first, speeding out of the base.
Behind them, there were five or six trucks, each filled with armed individuals carrying AKs. They drove out of Yebei Town and headed towards the conflict zone.
Northern Myanmar.
Gawei Town.
Inside the base, newly recruited personnel stood in rows on a vast square. There were a total of three hundred people recruited from nearby villages in the Gewai Town area.
Unlike the sense of one nation found in Longguo, in northern Myanmar, different ethnic groups operated independently.
The largest among them were the Shan armed forces, composed of native Shan people. With their inherent fierceness and brutality, they used guerrilla tactics, making it difficult to distinguish them from the government forces.
The Kexin Republic was a region with many mountains and forests, not suitable for direct confrontations. When dealing with villages of foreign ethnicities, the Shan people were known to easily resort to massacres, wiping out entire populations.
As for the trade goods, livestock, compared to someone like Zhao Renzhou who ran a company and paid salaries, this place was practically heaven.
The young men from the surrounding villages were eager to sign up, and it wasn’t for any other reason but the hefty death compensation. It was more than worth it.
Zhao Zhan and the ten or so subordinates who had gone out with him before walked through the queue, carefully selecting their recruits.
Zhao Renzhou, on the other hand, sat in a shaded area at the back. He reluctantly extended a hand and engaged in a wrist-wrestling match with Zhao Ning. He hadn’t let Zhao Ning go out to choose recruits.
After all, she was a young girl, and it wouldn’t be suitable for her to get involved in such matters of violence. Besides, she was loyal and intelligent.
It was a good idea to have her trained to become the group’s manager in the future.
However, once Zhao Zhan and the others had left, Zhao Renzhou felt a bit uneasy. After all, a nineteen-year-old young girl with a piercing gaze fixed on you…
Even though Zhao Renzhou had thick skin, he couldn’t withstand such a gaze. He reluctantly tried to find something to do and ended up engaging in a wrist-wrestling match with Zhao Ning.
In the past, perhaps Zhao Ning’s two hands could give Zhao Renzhou a run for his money, but now, after receiving the serum injection, Zhao Ning’s body had become much stronger. Her hand was almost overpowering Zhao Renzhou’s, but he tried not to move too much.
When he attempted to ease up a bit, Zhao Ning shot him a cold look and continued to wrestle fiercely. A thin layer of sweat appeared on their foreheads. No matter how you looked at it, Zhao Ning had grown up.
Her face exuded confidence, and her long, slender legs, even though they were flat in one area, couldn’t be ignored. With her body pressing against him, even that flat area was almost plastered to Zhao Renzhou’s face.
Zhao Renzhou turned his head helplessly. He should have just let her win…
But on Zhao Ning’s end, with determination and a slightly flushed face, she decided to go all out and pressed her entire body against him.
She was actually held up by Zhao Renzhou with just one hand, her feet slightly off the ground. Zhao Ning stared in astonishment, unable to believe it. Slowly, she lowered her arm, utterly convinced.
“Big brother?!”
“Are you even human?!”
Sitting there, with just one hand, he had lifted her entire body? Someone with great strength might be able to do it, but big brother didn’t even break a sweat, and his muscles hardly moved… Just how strong was he?
Suddenly, Zhao Ning’s mind wandered in a different direction. She swallowed hard, her face turning slightly red, her gaze taking on a hint of infatuation. Without realizing it, she reached out her hand, wanting to touch Zhao Renzhou’s arm muscles.
Seeing this, Zhao Renzhou had a vein pop on his forehead. He promptly swatted her hand away, which had almost the same level of creepiness as a pervert.
“Don’t be ridiculous,” he said.
It was only after Zhao Ning snapped back to reality that she realized what she had just done…
Ah ah ah ah ah!
“I’m going to die, I’m going to die, I’m going to die!”
“Oh no! Does big brother think I’m a pervert?!”
“Help!”
“Has that bastard Zhao Zhan finished selecting people yet?!”
“Hurry back, hurry back, hurry back!”
Unfortunately…
Zhao Ning’s inner thoughts were a silent scream, and Zhao Zhan couldn’t hear her.
And at this very moment…
Zhao Ning’s fair skin…
Visibly turned red…
It was as if her whole body had been thrown into a furnace…
And in that furnace…
There was something else…
Burning…
