Chapter 10 : Ye Xuan Couldn’t Possibly Protect Me Like This
At that moment, Yu Ling’er couldn’t help but doubt herself. The scene before her eyes was beyond her imagination. How could Ye Xuan actually fight the tiger demon to protect her? If so, then the person who saved her should not be Senior Brother Qin. Regardless of Yu Ling’er’s shock, the scene continued.
The blood-eyed tiger demon, severely injured and barely clinging to life, saw Ye Xuan blocking its path and was furious. Despite its numerous attempts to attack, Ye Xuan dodged every move. Ye Xuan’s sword inflicted new wounds on the demon, whose movements grew increasingly sluggish.
The tiger demon’s malevolent gaze suddenly turned to Yu Ling’er, who lay unconscious on the ground. In a fit of rage, it stretched its claws towards her.
“No—!!!” Ye Xuan was alarmed, quickly shielding Yu Ling’er and blocking the demon’s claw with his sword. But how could a human’s strength compare with a demon’s? Even in its dying moments, the tiger demon possessed immense power, causing Ye Xuan’s hands to bleed.
Seeing Ye Xuan’s determination to protect Yu Ling’er even at the cost of his own injury, the demon sneered cunningly. It relentlessly attacked Yu Ling’er, ignoring Ye Xuan.
Struggling against the tiger demon’s strength, and seeing Yu Ling’er in danger, Ye Xuan shielded her with his body. At that moment, Ye Xuan seemed destined to die. Yet even then, he did not retreat, blocking the demon’s attack while throwing his sword at it.
“No, this can’t be—!!!” Yu Ling’er exclaimed in disbelief. It was impossible for Ye Xuan to protect her like this, even risking his life. Yet, the scene continued to unfold…
Ye Xuan’s sword pierced the tiger demon’s forehead, but the demon’s attack on Ye Xuan did not land. Exhausted from the battle, it had no more strength left and collapsed heavily on the ground. “This is fake, utterly fake, not at all like my memory—it wasn’t Ye Xuan who protected me—!!! Beidu Star Lord, what’s going on?!!” Yu Ling’er couldn’t believe what she was seeing. Beidu Star Lord’s voice no longer responded. All she could do was continue watching the scene…
“I never thought I’d survive this; I’m so relieved.” Ye Xuan breathed a sigh of relief seeing the formidable tiger demon finally fall before him. He picked up Yu Ling’er’s sword and stabbed the demon several times to ensure it wouldn’t come back to life, then pulled out his own sword.
Approaching Yu Ling’er, he bent down to help her up. Suddenly, a sword qi shot through the air, piercing the ice in front of Ye Xuan. The formed qi sword, still stuck in the ice, emitted a mysterious, clear sword aura. This was the Taihua Qi Sword, a formed sword.
“Scum, get your dirty hands off Ling’er.” Suddenly, a cold voice echoed from the distant sky.
Ye Xuan looked up to see a figure in a Taihua Daoist robe, standing atop a Taihua standard immortal sword, hovering quietly in the air. “Who are you?” Ye Xuan asked.
“Senior Brother Qin?!!” Yu Ling’er exclaimed in excitement upon seeing the figure in the scene. She was thrilled to see Senior Brother Qin from before her rebirth.
However, her excitement soon turned to confusion. Was this how Senior Brother Qin made his entrance? And why did he look so cold and ruthless, unlike the Senior Brother Qin she knew? These scenes must be fake, she thought. Could the North Star Lord, the god who governs fate, also deceive?
Regardless of Yu Ling’er’s thoughts, the scene continued.
“Who I am is none of your business. If you don’t want to die, you can leave now,” the man in the sky, referred to as Senior Brother Qin by Yu Ling’er, said arrogantly to Ye Xuan.
Ye Xuan frowned, surprised to find such an arrogant person in Taihua Immortal Sect, a place known for righteousness. “Why should I leave? My sister is injured, I need to take care of her,” Ye Xuan responded.
The man in the sky, wielding his sword, landed on the ground, looking disdainfully at Ye Xuan. He glanced at the tiger demon’s corpse, then with a flick of his sword, a formed qi sword flew out and incinerated the demon, showcasing his power far beyond the Physical Realm. “I’m giving you another chance, will you leave or not?” the man sneered at Ye Xuan.
“What exactly do you want?” Ye Xuan, holding Yu Ling’er’s sword, watched the man cautiously, determined not to leave his sister behind at the mercy of this stranger.
The man, seeing Ye Xuan’s refusal to move, coldly said, “If you had fled obediently, there would have been no trouble. Now, even if you want to leave, you can’t. Even if I kill you, what can you do about it?”
Ye Xuan was infuriated. He had never hated his powerlessness more. He had to watch his younger sister protect him in danger, and even after she seriously injured the tiger demon, he almost failed to protect her.
Now, a man seemed to have ill intentions towards his sister, and he couldn’t protect her. “What are you planning to do? Since you haven’t killed me directly, you must not dare to kill me. Stop trying to scare me! State your purpose!” Ye Xuan shouted angrily.
Yu Ling’er was completely baffled by the scene. Why was everything so different from her memory? Was this really what happened after she fainted? No, this must be fake! Ye Xuan couldn’t have bravely protected her like this, and Senior Brother Qin couldn’t have been so unreasonable.
