Chapter 22: World Blessing, Bountiful Harvest

[World Announcement: Congratulations to survivor Su Mu for successfully defeating the first Apocalypse Boss.]

[World Announcement: The first person to kill an Apocalypse boss will receive an additional blessing.]

[World Announcement: With the defeat of the first world boss, the Refuge has entered a new era.]

[World Announcement: All survivors, please strive to become the Eternal King.]

The World Forum erupted in shock and disbelief.

[User 1:  What? Someone already killed a boss?]

[User 2:  We’ve only been in this world for two days, and someone’s already killed a boss? Is that even reasonable?]

[User 3:  Wow, Su Mu’s progress is ridiculously fast!]

[User 4:  I think I saw a mini-boss earlier, and it was around level ten.]

[User 5:  We can barely handle level three skeleton dogs, and we run as far as we can when we see a level ten boss.]

[User 6: Does that mean Su Mu can actually defeat a level ten boss?]

[User 7:  Cheating! That guy from Dragon Land must be cheating!]

[User 8:  Come on, use your brain. This is an apocalyptic world; there are no rules here.]

[User 7: But there’s no way Su Mu could’ve defeated the boss with his own strength. He just got lucky.]

[User 2:  Exactly. We’ve only been in this world for two days. How could he have the strength to defeat a boss head-on?]

[User 9: Luck is also a part of strength. No matter what, Su Mu is the first to kill an Apocalypse boss!]

Some users, driven by jealousy, couldn’t hide their envy.

[User 10: Damn, that guy from Dragon Land already had a huge advantage, and now he’s the first to kill a world boss.]

[User 11:  It’s going to be even harder to beat him now!]

[User 12:  He must’ve landed in a good spot and gotten a powerful starter weapon!]

[User 13  Don’t worry, the advantages of the novice level will soon be overtaken.]

[User 14: These weaklings from Dragon Land can’t possibly advance faster than us superior Beacon people!]

Meanwhile, Su Mu was still unaware of the uproar on the forum as he focused on collecting the Scarlet Boar King’s loot.

A mechanical voice echoed in his ear.

[Ding! Congratulations to the survivor for being the first to kill a world boss.]

[You have received the World Blessing effect: Double Rewards.]

[For the next thirty minutes, all items obtained by the survivor will be doubled!]

[Survivor, please take advantage of this brief opportunity.]

[Note: The World Blessing does not apply to certain special items.]

Double the rewards for everything? Could there really be such a generous blessing?

Su Mu’s heart filled with excitement. The timing couldn’t have been better. He was still inside the Energy Stone Mine, and with this blessing, he could maximize his gains.

“Time is of the essence. I must hurry and collect the loot!”

He began organizing the items dropped by the Scarlet Boar King.

[Scarlet Boar King Meat]

[Quantity Dropped: 100 pieces (World Blessing applied, rewards doubled).]

[Description: The meat of the Scarlet Boar King contains abundant energy. Not only is it delicious, but it also significantly increases experience points compared to regular boar meat.]

With one hundred pieces of meat in his inventory, Su Mu wouldn’t have to worry about food for over a month. Even if he couldn’t finish it all, he could trade the surplus on the market.

[Quantity Dropped: 5 liters.]

[Description: The blood of the Scarlet Boar King, slightly pungent. Consuming it can enhance your luck to a certain extent].

Luck-enhancing items were rare and valuable. Su Mu hadn’t yet used his three daily refresh chances for sub-stat items, so this blood would come in handy before attempting those.

Energy stones were also among the drops.

“Do only boss-level monsters drop energy stones when defeated?”

The ominous number of energy stones made Su Mu pause. If these precious materials were exclusively tied to boss kills, their value would be astronomical.

“Still, this haul alone is enough to upgrade the dungeon to level two today.”

Next came two intriguing drops:

[Description: Constructs a turret capable of firing boar bristle spikes within the shelter’s range.]

Su Mu’s eyes lit up. Blueprints for defensive turrets were incredibly useful. With the doubling effect, he now had two of them. Once the two-day protection period for his hideout ended, these turrets would automatically defend it from intruders.

“This reward is a game-changer!”

After storing the blueprints, Su Mu turned his attention to the final item dropped by the Scarlet Boar King.
