Chapter 7: Domineering Linghu Chong
…
…
On the majestic and towering Mount Hua.
Under the moonlight, a boundless sea of clouds rolled and surged violently, like crashing waves in a vast ocean.
In the distance, the endless mountain range rose and fell like a continuous swell.
After two and a half hours had passed.
The full moon in the sky had gradually sunk below the horizon.
In the east, the sky began to pale with the light of dawn, as if nature itself had lifted the veil of night.
Morning slowly approached.
By the spiritual spring, on a smooth and rounded boulder.
A man and a woman nestled in each other’s arms.
Linghu Chong gazed at the stunning beauty in his embrace, a gentle and proud smile spreading across his face.
Ning Zhongze quietly leaned against Linghu Chong’s warm and broad chest, her breath fragrant like orchids, a lazy yet satisfied expression on her face.
As time passed, the sky gradually took on a faint rosy glow, which slowly spread across the horizon.
The hue expanded wider and deeper, changing from pale red to orange, then into a blazing crimson.
The sun slowly rose.
“Master’s Wife, look…” Linghu Chong pointed excitedly at the half-risen sun on the horizon.
Ning Zhongze lazily lifted her enchanting eyes, gazing at the fiery red sun rising in the east. A captivating smile appeared on her face as she murmured softly, “So beautiful!”
“Mm-hmm!” Linghu Chong nodded; he had never seen such a breathtaking sunrise.
Especially while admiring this beautiful moment alongside Ning Zhongze, such a stunning woman.
Everything felt so perfect and warm, nothing else could compare.
That dazzling radiance reached out like tendrils, exploring this newly awakened world, bringing with it boundless hope and endless possibilities.
Before long, the fiery sun had completely risen.
Golden light spilled across the endless peaks of Mount Hua, trimming the mountains with a brilliant, glowing edge.
Bathed in the warm sunlight, Ning Zhongze felt utterly relaxed and at ease, the emotional burdens she had carried for over a decade completely dissolved.
She deeply cherished this quiet, peaceful, warm, and comforting moment.
For a brief instant, she wished this moment could last forever.
She no longer thought of anything else. Ning Zhongze simply wanted to enjoy this beautiful moment. She closed her lovely eyes again, seeking the most comfortable position, and lay down.
She was exhausted!
All she wanted was a good rest.
Linghu Chong looked down at the stunning beauty in his arms, a tender smile on his face—it all felt like a dream, so unreal.
The two of them simply held each other in silence, enjoying the beauty of the sunrise and the warmth of this blissful moment.
From afar, their figures— were like… no… truly a pair of celestial lovers.
No one knew how much time had passed.
Ning Zhongze slowly awoke in Linghu Chong’s arms.
The first thing she saw was that broad, muscular chest. Her bright eyes widened instantly, a flicker of panic flashing deep within them.
Suddenly, she sat up from Linghu Chong’s arms with a start.
“What’s wrong, Master’s Wife?” Linghu Chong asked, puzzled by Ning Zhongze’s sudden and complete change in demeanor.
Ning Zhongze didn’t answer. She quickly rose, bent down to pick up the clothes on the ground, and began putting them on.
What did I do?
She hadn’t resisted, and even agreed to Linghu Chong’s request.
Ning Zhongze’s heart was in chaos, unable to comprehend or accept her own behavior—she felt scared.
After dressing, Ning Zhongze prepared to leap away.
Just then—Linghu Chong grabbed her arm. “Master’s Wife, what’s wrong?”
Everything had been fine—why had she suddenly changed?
“Let go of me!” Ning Zhongze said coldly.
Startled, Linghu Chong saw that she had returned to her dignified, stern self.
He wisely released her arm.
With a blank expression, Ning Zhongze turned away.
Just as she was about to leap into the air and depart—Linghu Chong suddenly pulled her back into his embrace and spun her around.
Then, he kissed her fiercely and passionately on her soft, peach blossom-like lips.
Ning Zhongze’s eyes widened in shock, struggling frantically—but to no avail…
A long while passed.
Their lips parted.
Ning Zhongze slowly opened her eyes, glaring at Linghu Chong’s smug face, her anger bubbling up.
“Hmph!” she snorted adorably, shoved him away with both hands, and without hesitation, raised her hand—
Smack!
A crisp slap landed across Linghu Chong’s face.
Then Ning Zhongze turned and used her lightness skill to fly toward the summit of Mount Hua, behind her came Linghu Chong’s pained cry:
“Ahhh!!”
Linghu Chong was sent spinning by her slap, landing with a loud splash in the hot spring, water flying everywhere.
By the time he surfaced, all he could see was Ning Zhongze’s graceful figure flitting through the misty cliffs.
“Master’s Wife!!!” Linghu Chong shouted after her.
But no reply came.
Just as her figure vanished completely into the mist—
A melodious voice floated down from the sky.
“Come back early!”
“Yes…!” Linghu Chong’s face lit up with joy. He threw his head back and let out a long howl.
His booming voice echoed throughout the heavens and earth.
Drawing back his thoughts—
Linghu Chong finally had time to sort through this absurd, chaotic experience.
He hadn’t expected to transmigrate into a martial arts world.
His heart still beat with excitement. After all, like many others, he had dreamed of the martial world in his youth—and now, that dream had come true.
Since that’s the case, a real man should roam the world with sword in hand, living freely and unrestrained.
The plot hadn’t started yet—but it was close.
He just didn’t know which version of Xiaoao World this was.
Linghu Chong stepped out of the hot spring and leapt ashore, his upper body exposed, muscles chiseled and defined, a physique full of impact.
There wasn’t a single wound on him—the stab wound Ning Zhongze had given him on the back had healed completely.
As for the missing bandages—
They’d been torn off during his intense battle with Ning Zhongze.
Now, the most important thing—
During the fight, he had felt that the golden light source in his mind had blossomed.
Countless golden runes flowed through his body, radiating mysterious energy, constantly cleansing his meridians and enhancing his power.
Because of this, his strength had surged throughout the battle—his combat ability grew stronger and stronger, power surged through his body endlessly, his inner strength unceasing and inexhaustible.
If not for Ning Zhongze’s physical limitations, he felt he could’ve kept fighting for days and nights without rest.
So, Linghu Chong immediately checked the mysterious stone and golden light within his mind.
And what he saw shocked him.
The golden light had indeed changed—an unexpected and astonishing transformation.
Linghu Chong was dumbfounded, his eyes filled with awe.
