007: First Evolution
“Ding! Energy body detected. Would you like to convert it into evolution points?”
Mu Liang’s eyes lit up. So the Beast Crystal was what the system needed — an object containing energy.
He couldn’t wait to give the command in his mind: “Convert.”
“Ding! Conversion successful. Evolution points gained: 100.”
Before the voice in his mind even faded, the Beast Crystal melted away like water and disappeared into his palm.
“Eh??? Where did the Beast Crystal go?”
Mino stared wide-eyed, curiously flipping over Mu Liang’s hand, examining both the palm and the back.
The girl almost had her face pressed against Mu Liang’s palm, still confused about how the Beast Crystal had vanished.
“Alright, this is another one of my abilities,” Mu Liang said with a smile, pinching the girl’s cheek.
When he heard the name ‘Beast Crystal,’ he knew it came from the body of a fierce beast. Now that he understood how to obtain evolution points, Mu Liang had a clear target to aim for.
“Such an amazing ability,” Mino marveled.
“I’m going to search the other person to see if they have a Beast Crystal.”
The girl quickly dashed over to the first thief scout Mu Liang had killed.
“System, how many evolution points are needed to evolve a tamed beast to the next level?” Mu Liang asked in his mind.
“Ding! To evolve from level 1 to level 2, 10 evolution points are needed.”
“Then, how many points are required to evolve to level 3?”
“Ding! To evolve from level 2 to level 3, 100 evolution points are needed.”
“Wow, it increased by ten times.”
Mu Liang shook his head helplessly. He had planned to prioritize evolving a level 3 tamed beast.
He called out to summon the Rock Armor Turtle to meet him, preparing to evolve it to level 2.
“Xiao Cai, come over here,” Mu Liang waved at the nearby rock wall.
The three-colored lizard appeared on the wall and quickly scurried toward him.
Mu Liang placed his palm on the three-colored lizard and commanded: “System, evolve the three-colored lizard.”
“Ding! Level 1 three-colored lizard evolves to level 2. 10 evolution points deducted.”
“Ding! Level 2 three-colored lizard evolution successful.”
“Ding! Taming Master ‘Mimicry Camouflage’ ability synchronized to level 2.”
Soon, Mu Liang felt a familiar warm current spreading through his body again. His body was once more enhanced.
“Even the ability was synchronized. This is quite convenient,” Mu Liang remarked.
He looked at the three-colored lizard, which hadn’t changed much. Its size had grown to about one meter, and it now had considerable attacking power.
If an ordinary person wasn’t careful and got ambushed, they would be bitten to death in an instant.
“I only found a bit of dried meat,” Mino returned holding a piece of dried meat about the size of her palm.
When she saw the large lizard in front of Mu Liang, her blue eyes gleamed with interest.
The girl couldn’t help but lick the corner of her mouth.
“Ssss~~” The three-colored lizard glared at her warily, clearly uncomfortable with her gaze.
“Alright, this is my newly tamed pet, not for eating,” Mu Liang snapped, pinching the girl’s rabbit ear to prevent her from making a mistake.
“Ying~~” Mino’s sensitive ear was pinched, letting out an embarrassed low moan.
“Cough, cough…” Mu Liang quickly let go, his hand having the impulse to tug on her ear earlier. He just hadn’t expected the girl to react quite so strongly.
“Don’t pull my ears.”
Mino blushed furiously, pouting in displeasure and complaining, “I’m not a pet.”
“Yes, yes.” Mu Liang waved his hand dismissively.
It really was a nice feeling.
Hmm, he decided he might pull on them again when he got the chance.
“Eh? I hear the footsteps of the Rock Armor Turtle.”
Mino’s ears twitched, surprised. “It’s heading this way.”
“I called it to meet us,” Mu Liang said, glancing curiously at the girl’s rabbit ears.
He had a mental link with the Rock Armor Turtle, which allowed him to sense its presence from two or three hundred meters away.
The girl, however, was able to hear such distant sounds and even distinguish the Rock Armor Turtle’s footsteps, which was impressive.
A few minutes later, the Rock Armor Turtle arrived in front of them.
“System, evolve the Rock Armor Turtle.”
Mu Liang pressed one hand on the turtle’s head.
“Ding! Level 1 Rock Armor Turtle evolves to level 2. 10 evolution points deducted.”
“Ding! Level 2 Rock Armor Turtle evolution successful.”
“Ding! Taming Master ‘Earth Rock Spear’ ability synchronized to level 2.”
After receiving the synchronized enhancement, Mu Liang opened his character stats panel in his mind.

With both tamed beasts evolved to level 2, Mu Liang’s attributes nearly doubled.
His lifespan, in particular, had reached an astonishing 260 years.
This was a lifespan that most people could only dream of, and Mu Liang had obtained it so easily.
“The turtle changed again… it got bigger.”
Mino exclaimed in shock.
Mu Liang snapped back to reality and looked at the Rock Armor Turtle. The change was indeed remarkable.
What was once a one-meter-sized turtle now had a body over ten times larger, nearly as big as a room of ten square meters.
“Ow~~”
The Rock Armor Turtle let out a joyful sound, its head, bigger than a basin, nudging toward Mu Liang.
“Good, good, be a good turtle,” Mu Liang patted the turtle’s large head, coaxing it like a child.
Now, if the Rock Armor Turtle stood up, it would be over three meters tall.
“Mu Liang, you’re amazing.”
Mino’s blue eyes sparkled with admiration.
No one would believe that the giant Rock Armor Turtle in front of them had been no bigger than the size of a palm just yesterday. Now, it had grown so enormous.
