Once inside the car, An Liang instructed, “Driver, Bund No. 29.”

The chauffeur acknowledged and started driving. Bund No. 29 was far less famous than Bund No. 19. It was just a quiet bar. Liang Xue had been there before and knew it was very proper. Besides, it was broad daylight—what could possibly happen?

It took almost an hour to arrive. An Liang took out 200 yuan in cash and handed it to the driver. “Go grab something to eat—we’ll be here a while.”

She continued, “He specifically asked for me to handle the negotiation. If I close the deal, I get the lead female role.”

An Liang asked, “Did I cause you trouble back at the Patek Philippe store?”

“Actually, Mr. An, you helped me out. Jin Ming’s investment terms were too over-the-top. I couldn’t accept them. I was already planning to find an excuse to leave when we were at the store.”
