Chapter 19: Six Supreme Tyrant Bones! Terrifying Power!
The system’s notifications continued ringing in Yang Yi’s mind as he looted the remaining bodies. However, despite his expectations, nothing particularly valuable appeared. He had scoured corpse after corpse, yet not a single Mohist disciple had been among them. Frowning, he contemplated the situation.
“Impossible. The Mohist school played a crucial role in the construction of the First Emperor’s tomb.”
Were they really all eliminated beforehand?
A grim thought crossed his mind.
“Did Hu Hai execute them separately, ensuring they weren’t buried alive like the rest?”
If that was the case, then he had suffered a massive loss. Mohist disciples were masters of mechanics and traps, and their knowledge would have been invaluable to him.
“No matter what, I will find them—even if I have to dig up every inch of this tomb.”
If he could loot just one true Mohist engineer, he might inherit their legacy and gain the secrets of their mechanical wonders. The Mohist school’s expertise in warfare and automation would be an unstoppable weapon in his hands. Even though he had awakened a tomb-raiding system, that didn’t mean he had abandoned the idea of ruling an empire. If he could harness the Mohists’ war machines, he wouldn’t just be a grave robber—he could reshape history itself.

At last, he reached the final body—the corpse of the burly man who had led the last resistance.
Ding!
[Congratulations, host! You have successfully looted the corpse!].
Ding!
[Congratulations, host! You have obtained: three tigers, twenty wild boars, five bears.].
Ding!
[Congratulations, host! You have obtained: a longbow and one thousand arrows.].
Ding!
[Congratulations, host! You have obtained: a basic breathing technique.].
Ding!
[Congratulations, host! You have obtained: two years of condensed cultivation and ten years of lifespan.].
……………………………………………………………………………
Yang Yi raised an eyebrow as he absorbed the information.
A hunter?
The man had to have been a professional hunter—one of terrifying skill and strength. To single-handedly hunt down three tigers, five bears, and twenty wild boars using only a bow and arrow wasn’t just luck. It was proof of mastery.
“An expert marksman, no doubt.” His heart ached slightly—had the system allowed him to inherit the hunter’s archery skills, he would have gained another lethal weapon in his arsenal. But, unfortunately, he had only looted the bow and arrows, not the technique itself. “A shame… but still, this is a decent find.”
Opening his status panel, he reviewed his current abilities.
Host: Yang Yi
Age: 20
Cultivation Realm: Late-stage Dark Jin
Soul Realm: Mortal
Innate Talent & Bone Structure: Supreme Tyrant Bone
Cultivation Methods: Ancient Breathing Technique, Mohist Breathing Technique, Basic Breathing Technique
Skills: Beginner-Level Mohist Mechanisms, War Halberd Unrivaled
Available Lifespan: 1,315 years
Remaining Condensed Cultivation Time: 81 years
Seeing his accumulated cultivation time, Yang Yi grinned widely. “Even without rare herbs or spiritual treasures, I might actually break into the Hua Jin realm soon!” His anticipation soared. If he could fully refine his Tyrant Bone, then no enemy of the same realm would ever be able to match his raw power.
He turned toward Meng Jiangnv, who had been silently watching him work. “Stay back for now,” he said. “I need to dig a burial pit for the bodies.” With a thought, he retrieved shovels and other tools from the system’s storage. These, too, had been looted from the corpses.
“Let me help you, Husband,” Meng Jiangnv offered softly. She had wanted to assist in looting the bodies earlier, but Yang Yi had refused, saying it wasn’t necessary for her to get her hands dirty. He smirked slightly. “There’s no need,” he replied. “Save your strength—for later.” His meaning was clear, and Meng Jiangnv’s face turned bright red.
……………………………………………………………………………
Boom!
With a mighty swing, Yang Yi drove his shovel into the stone floor. The impact shattered the bricks, but he quickly frowned. Even with his strength, digging a pit large enough for all these bodies would take forever.
“This method is too slow.” A bold idea took shape in his mind.
“System, extract fifty years of condensed cultivation. Focus on refining the Ancient Breathing Technique!”
He was about to force a breakthrough. If he could step into the Hua Jin realm, digging through solid stone would become trivial.
Ding!
[The host has entered condensed cultivation mode!].
[Due to the extreme difficulty of refining Dark Jin energy, the host spent five years advancing to late-stage Dark Jin.].
[However, a new discovery was made—your Supreme Tyrant Bone has begun forming a second core.].
[With great effort, you successfully nurtured and completed the second Tyrant Bone over five more years.].
[Another ten years passed, and two more Tyrant Bones emerged, bringing the total to four. With this, you reached peak-stage Dark Jin, though you were unable to attain the final threshold.].
[Undeterred, you continued refining for another twenty years, ultimately forming six complete Tyrant Bones.].
[Despite your efforts, however, you remain unable to step into the Hua Jin realm.].
Yang Yi’s eyes snapped open. A storm of energy surged within him, and the air around him trembled from the sheer pressure. Fifty years of cultivation had passed in an instant, and while he hadn’t broken into Hua Jin, his strength had skyrocketed.
His fists clenched tightly, and the muscles in his arms flexed, radiating terrifying power. With six fully refined Tyrant Bones, his raw physical strength was now beyond monstrous.
Boom!
He swung his shovel again, and this time, the stone floor didn’t just crack—it exploded into pieces. A deep crater formed instantly, the debris scattering in every direction. He stared at his hands in awe.
“This power… it’s terrifying.”
The Tyrant Bone had amplified his strength to an absurd degree. Each additional bone had exponentially increased his durability, power, and resilience. He could feel his entire body transforming, the energy coursing through his muscles like a raging river. At this rate, once his entire skeleton became fully converted into Tyrant Bone, he would become unstoppable; perhaps, even immortal.
Still, there was one issue. Despite his newfound strength, he had failed to break into Hua Jin. His eyes flickered with determination.
“No matter. I still have thirty-one years of condensed cultivation left.”
He was determined to use every last second to ascend to the next realm.
This underground palace will not be my grave. It will be my stepping stone to true dominance.
