Villain of the urban TV/Movie Time-Travel - Chapter 10
Chapter 10: That Was Too Easy
The next morning, Chun Song-yi rubbed her temples as she woke up.
When she turned and saw Yang Yu lying beside her, her brain momentarily shut down.
Again?
“Damn it! How did I let this brat take advantage of me again?”
She felt like she was losing her mind. Two nights of drinking, and both times she ended up in this situation. Luckily, she was still fully dressed—otherwise, she’d be ready to commit murder.
I really need to drink less from now on.
This time, Yang Yu didn’t bother pretending to be asleep. He stretched lazily and opened his eyes, locking gazes with Chun Song-yi.
For a moment, they just stared at each other, both utterly bewildered.
Then, Chun Song-yi reacted first.
“AHHHHHHHHHH!!!”
She let out a scream and kicked Yang Yu off the bed.
“You bastard! You shameless jerk! I’ll kill you!”
She grabbed a pillow and started whacking him mercilessly, venting not just her frustration from today but also from the night before.
Yang Yu caught her wrists and looked at her seriously.
“I don’t remember what happened last night, but I’ll take responsibility.”
“Hmph! Who asked you to take responsibility? Do you know how many men are dying to date me? They could line up all the way overseas!”
She narrowed her eyes. “You planned this, didn’t you? No one in Korea doesn’t know who I am!”
“Listen up, you better take this secret to the grave. If you dare breathe a word about this, I’ll make sure you regret it for the rest of your life!”
She went on and on, lecturing him.
“So… you don’t want me to take responsibility?” Yang Yu asked.
“As if! Keep dreaming!”
She scoffed arrogantly.
Yang Yu let out a dramatic sigh of relief.
“Hey! What’s with that reaction? Do you think I’m not good enough for you?”
Chun Song-yi exploded at his expression.
“Of course not. I’m the one who’s not worthy of you. Sorry for the trouble—I’ll be going now.”
Yang Yu gave a half-hearted apology and turned to leave.
“STOP RIGHT THERE! Who said you could go?”
Chun Song-yi was fuming.
Does he think I’m some terrifying beast?
Am I really that unattractive to him?!
Yang Yu smirked inwardly—he had already figured out her personality.
“Then what do you want? You just said you don’t want me to take responsibility. Besides, we were both fully dressed—nothing could have happened.”
He shrugged innocently.
“You! You! You—!”
Chun Song-yi pointed at him, speechless with frustration.
She stomped her foot in anger.
“Fine! I get it. I’ll take responsibility.”
“Who needs you to take—mmph!”
Before she could finish, Yang Yu pulled her into his arms.
She instantly froze.
She didn’t know why, but being in his embrace made her feel… safe.
What’s wrong with me?
I’ve only known him for three days, and yet…
He hasn’t even confessed to me or pursued me properly. What does this make me? Will he think I’m easy?
Lost in thought, she blurted out, “What do you see me as?”
“My girlfriend,” Yang Yu replied casually.
“What?! Who said I agreed to be your girlfriend? We’ve only known each other for three days!”
“Alright, forget it then.”
“You dare?!”
“I’m joking, I’m joking! Starting today, you’re officially my girlfriend. How about that?”
“Hmph! As if! I’m not that easy to win over. You’ll have to prove yourself first.”
With that, Chun Song-yi strutted off to freshen up and change.
Yang Yu stood there, dumbfounded.
That was… way too easy.
It was obvious that she had already fallen for him—she was just being stubborn.
Damn… at this rate, I won’t even need a week to complete my mission.
But the easier things seemed, the more uneasy he felt.
There was no way the system would let him finish the mission and leave so easily.
This made him even more determined to focus on disrupting the storyline. If this was a side mission, he had to take it seriously.
I’ll take it one step at a time. There’s still a whole year to mess with the plot.
When Chun Song-yi finally emerged, all dressed up, Yang Yu’s eyes lit up.
“Wow… no doubt about it—you’re the most beautiful woman in the world.”
“Of course! I was voted Korea’s most beautiful actress this year, with over 60% of the votes.”
She had absolutely no concept of humility.
“By the way, why did you come to Korea? Are you here for work?”
“I came here to pursue you. Now that I’ve accomplished my goal, I have no idea what to do next.”
Yang Yu spoke the truth.
But Chun Song-yi didn’t believe a word of it.
“Do you think I’m an idiot? And stop acting like I agreed to be your girlfriend! Don’t flatter yourself.”
She was as *tsundere as ever.
[*Tsundere (ツンデレ, pronounced [t͡sɯndeɾe]) is a Japanese term for a character development process that depicts a character with an initially harsh personality who gradually reveals a warmer, friendlier side over time.]
