Villain of the urban TV/Movie Time-Travel - Chapter 18
Chapter 18: Cheon Song-yi’s Trouble
Yang Yu initially wanted to take advantage of the moment to get closer to Yoo Rachel, but an unexpected incident forced him to leave.
Cheon Song-yi was in trouble.
Yang Yu couldn’t help but marvel at how strong the pull of the original storyline was.
Without Do Min-joon, some things had changed—for instance, Cheon Song-yi never had acute appendicitis and didn’t end up in the hospital.
But some events were inevitable. Last night, Cheon Song-yi attended Noh Soo-young’s wedding on a cruise, and Han Yoo-ra still died. Since she had always been on bad terms with Han Yoo-ra, a video of them arguing surfaced online, and now, public suspicion was entirely directed at Cheon Song-yi.
That morning, as she arrived on set, a swarm of reporters cornered her, bombarding her with questions about Han Yoo-ra’s death, leaving her completely flustered.
Filming had to be halted, and she had no choice but to return home to escape the press.
But the reporters wouldn’t let her go so easily. They chased her all the way to her doorstep.
Now, Cheon Song-yi didn’t even dare to step outside. Dozens of reporters were blocking her door.
She hadn’t eaten all day and was starving. Left with no choice, she texted Yang Yu, asking him to bring food.
Yang Yu bought some takeout, but when he arrived at her apartment, he was shocked to see so many reporters.
At first, he considered having Lee Gun-soo handle the situation, but on second thought, this was a perfect opportunity to get closer to Cheon Song-yi—so he decided to let the reporters continue their siege.
As soon as he stepped out of the elevator, the reporters swarmed toward him like flies drawn to blood.
“Do you know Miss Cheon Song-yi? What are your thoughts on this situation?”
Yang Yu’s expression turned cold.
“Move the cameras away.”
The reporters, intimidated by his presence, hesitated before reluctantly lowering their cameras.
Yang Yu entered the building and, in an instant, teleported to Cheon Song-yi’s balcony.
He walked into her bedroom as if he had done it a hundred times before, just in time to hear her grumbling to herself.
“That jerk! I told him I was starving, and it’s been over an hour! He’s so cold and heartless!”
“Badmouthing someone behind their back isn’t very nice,” Yang Yu said with a smirk.
Cheon Song-yi, who had been lying weakly on her bed, suddenly perked up.
“AHH! Are you trying to give me a heart attack?! How did you even get in? Did the reporters leave?”
She clutched her chest, clearly startled.
“There are still dozens of them outside. This is huge news—why would they just leave? I climbed over from the balcony. Anyway, here, your favorite fried chicken and sea urchin.”
Yang Yu placed the food in front of her.
The moment she saw it, her eyes lit up.
“You should’ve brought some beer and soju too,” she said, taking a big bite of the fried chicken.
Yang Yu was amazed by how carefree she was. Even in this situation, she was thinking about drinking?
“No problem. I’ll bring some tonight. Anything else you want to eat? I’ll get it all for you.”
The moment food was mentioned, Cheon Song-yi’s eyes sparkled.
“Oh, I have a whole list! Fried chicken with beer, beef tripe with soju…” She rattled off a long list of cravings.
Yang Yu’s head started to ache just listening to her.
“Alright, I got it all. I’ll order it for you tonight. But it’s already late—will you still have room for all that?”
“Of course! I don’t even remember the last time I ate everything I wanted.”
“Since I can’t go out for a while, I might as well enjoy myself at home.”
She sighed wistfully, nearly drooling at the thought.
“Enough about food. How do you plan to deal with this? You can’t stay trapped in here forever.” Yang Yu asked.
“What can I do? I’ll just let things play out,” she said nonchalantly.
Yang Yu stayed with her until evening. Every few minutes, reporters would knock on the door or ring the doorbell. Her phone kept ringing nonstop.
Annoyed beyond belief, Cheon Song-yi finally turned off her phone.
But Yang Yu was also starting to get irritated.
Without warning, he scooped her up in his arms and headed for the balcony.
“Hey!! What are you doing?! Put me down!”
Cheon Song-yi shrieked, shocked by his sudden action.
“We’re going to my place. You can’t stay here anymore—it’s too much of a hassle.”
Carrying her onto the balcony, he leaped across to his own apartment.
“AHHH!! AHHH!! OH MY GOD!!”
She clung to him for dear life, terrified out of her mind. They were on the 23rd floor—if they fell, they’d be dead for sure!
“Alright, we’re here,” Yang Yu said, amused.
“You can’t just do that without warning! Are you Superman or something? How did you just carry me and jump all the way over here?! I mean, I am light, but still!”
Still shaken, she shouted at him, struggling to catch her breath.
