Villain of the urban TV/Movie Time-Travel - Chapter 19
Chapter 19: Cheon Song-yi Wants to Learn Kung Fu
“Was that Chinese Kung Fu just now? You jumped over in a flash—was it the legendary lightness skill?”
Lying on Yang Yu’s couch, Cheon Song-yi had finally calmed down, but her excitement grew as she waved her arms around, bombarding him with questions.
“Teach me! That way, if reporters chase me, I can escape just like that!”
She eagerly pursued Yang Yu, determined to learn martial arts.
Annoyed, Yang Yu sighed. “According to Chinese tradition, Kung Fu cannot be taught to outsiders.”
“What? We’re friends! How am I an outsider? You’re so stingy!”
She pouted, clearly displeased with his refusal.
“By ‘insider,’ I mean family—like my wife or girlfriend.”
Yang Yu smirked, expecting her to scoff and call him delusional or insult him.
But instead, Cheon Song-yi blushed and said, “Do you like me that much? You’re even using this as an excuse?”
She playfully smacked him a few times.
Whoa!
Yang Yu swallowed hard as his gaze lingered on her curvy figure. Looks like things might get interesting tonight…
But he quickly regained his composure. No way he’d admit anything—he wanted her to pursue him. That way, he could earn double the points.
Keeping a straight face, he said, “You misunderstood. I was just stating a fact.”
“Yeah, right! Who wouldn’t like me, Cheon Song-yi? I don’t believe it!”
She muttered to herself, clearly unconvinced.
“Either way, I want to learn Kung Fu. You have to teach me! Please, pretty please!”
She clung to his arm, pouting cutely.
Yang Yu remained unfazed.
Seeing that her charm wasn’t working, she immediately switched tactics.
“Yah! Are you going to teach me or not? If you don’t, I’ll walk out that door right now and tell the reporters that you’re my secret lover! Then, every little move you make will be scrutinized by the entire nation. Say goodbye to your peaceful life!”
Damn!
Wasn’t this the exact threat she used on the alien? How did it end up being used against him?
If reporters really believed he was her secret lover, his grand plan to woo other women would be doomed.
“Why does a top celebrity like you need Kung Fu anyway? Besides, training is really tough.”
“I don’t care! I still want to learn!”
Completely defeated, Yang Yu sighed. He had no idea why she was so obsessed with Kung Fu, but he decided to make her give up by showing her how difficult it was.
“Fine! There’s an old saying: ‘Before you can fight, you must first stand firm for three years.’”
“Let’s start with the basic horse stance.”
He demonstrated the proper posture.
Seeing that he had finally agreed to teach her, Cheon Song-yi immediately copied him with enthusiasm.
“Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, or slightly wider. Toes point forward. Keep your upper body upright.”
“Lift your head, push out your chest, tighten your abs, and stick out your butt.”
Within minutes, she was struggling.
“You’re not teaching me Kung Fu—you’re just taking advantage of me! I quit!”
Realizing something was off, she immediately stopped.
Pouting, she ignored Yang Yu in protest.
Five minutes… ten minutes… half an hour…
Yang Yu finally spoke up.
“Alright, we’ll talk about Kung Fu later. Right now, we need to deal with your situation.”
Cheon Song-yi scoffed. “What can I do? If I had a solution, I wouldn’t be hiding at your place.”
“Think back to what happened that night. Tell me everything.”
Just as he expected, the events played out like the original storyline.
Cheon Song-yi had overheard Lee Jae-kyung and Han Yoo-ra talking in the restroom and had picked up Han Yoo-ra’s bag. However, since the alien wasn’t there this time, she ended up getting drunk and was taken care of by Lee Hwi-kyung and Yoo Se-mi instead.
“Got it. I’ll handle this—you don’t have to worry.”
“I wasn’t worried to begin with. Plenty of people in the industry didn’t get along with Han Yoo-ra. If she jumped into the Han River every time someone argued with her, she’d have died a hundred times over.”
Cheon Song-yi rolled her eyes.
Killing Lee Jae-kyung would be easy, but solving this mess required Lee Hwi-kyung to find that voice-recording pen first.
“Where’s your loyal childhood admirer, Lee Hwi-kyung?”
“What?! Loyal childhood admirer? He’s just a friend! There’s nothing between us!”
Cheon Song-yi quickly clarified, afraid of any misunderstandings.
Yang Yu leaned in, resting a hand on her shoulder. Blowing a gentle breath near her ear, he whispered, “Then what about us? What’s our relationship?”
“We… we’re just… just neighbors!”
She stammered, clearly flustered.
