Villain of the urban TV/Movie Time-Travel - Chapter 21
Chapter 21: Lee Hui-kyung
The food Yang Yu ordered arrived quickly. When he opened the door, he saw a group of reporters gathered outside, casually eating fried chicken. Among them was Lee Hui-kyung, Cheon Song-yi’s childhood friend.
Yang Yu had a good impression of Lee Hui-kyung. He put in so much effort for Cheon Song-yi, but unfortunately, his love was unrequited.
“Hey! Lee Hui-kyung! What are you doing here? Are you here to interview Cheon Song-yi too? Come in and have a drink.”
Yang Yu waved at him, acting as if they were old friends.
Lee Hui-kyung looked at him in confusion. He was sure he didn’t know this guy—why was he inviting him in for a drink?
When Yang Yu saw the puzzled look on Lee Hui-kyung’s face, he gave him a quick glance toward Cheon Song-yi’s door.
Lee Hui-kyung immediately understood. Without hesitation, he followed Yang Yu inside.
As soon as the door shut, he anxiously asked, “Do you know where Cheon Song-yi is? It’s been a whole day, and her phone’s off. I can’t get in touch with her at all. I’m going crazy.”
Just then, Cheon Song-yi walked out, fresh from a shower.
“Hey! You brat! Who said I belong to you? Stop talking nonsense.”
Her hair was still damp, and she wore Yang Yu’s oversized shirt, which completely covered her tiny shorts, making it look like she wasn’t wearing anything underneath. Her long, perfect legs were on full display.
Yang Yu almost drooled at the sight—it was beyond tempting.
Lee Hui-kyung, equally mesmerized, stared at her like a lovesick fool.
“What are you doing here? And why are you wearing a man’s shirt?” he questioned her.
“Didn’t you see the reporters outside? If I go home now, I’ll be trapped. And how did you even know I was here?”
Cheon Song-yi wasn’t pleased to see Lee Hui-kyung. She had dressed like this on purpose—to tease Yang Yu and get a reaction out of him. But before she could even start, Lee Hui-kyung ruined the moment.
“I was worried about you, so I blended in with the reporters to gather information. This senior here invited me in.”
Lee Hui-kyung answered honestly.
Cheon Song-yi turned to Yang Yu with suspicion. “How do you know him?”
“Let’s eat and talk. I know a lot. And we’ll need his help with your situation.”
Yang Yu set up the food, sat down, and invited them to join him.
“If there’s anything I can do to help, just say the word! As long as it clears Cheon Song-yi’s name, I’ll do anything.”
Lee Hui-kyung bowed deeply to Yang Yu, showing his sincerity.
“I’ve already investigated this case. But it involves your second brother, Lee Jae-kyung. Are you sure you can help?”
Yang Yu looked at him with a smirk.
“My second brother? No way. He would never frame Cheon Song-yi.”
Lee Hui-kyung shook his head, refusing to believe it.
Cheon Song-yi also found it hard to believe. After all, she had seen Lee Jae-kyung and Han Yoo-ra as a couple.
“But what if it’s true? What would you do then?”
Yang Yu asked again.
“If he really killed someone… then to protect Cheon Song-yi’s innocence, I’d report him to the prosecution.”
Lee Hui-kyung was willing to do anything for Cheon Song-yi.
“Good. There’s a USB drive in Cheon Song-yi’s van containing important evidence. Also, do you remember the recording pen your eldest brother gave you? There’s an interesting recording on it. You should check it out—you’ll make some surprising discoveries.”
“Once you see it, you’ll understand who your second brother really is. But be careful—don’t let him find out.”
Yang Yu revealed everything he remembered from the original storyline, giving Lee Hui-kyung a clear path to investigate.
Lee Hui-kyung’s eyes narrowed. “My eldest brother’s recording pen? I never told anyone about that. How do you know?”
“I know a lot of things. There’s nothing in this world I don’t know.”
Yang Yu smiled mysteriously.
“Alright. I’m going to check it right now.”
Lee Hui-kyung immediately stood up, determined to leave.
But when he reached the door, he hesitated. He turned around and walked back.
“You two, alone under the same roof? No way. Cheon Song-yi is too beautiful. What if you try something? I can’t leave.”
He sat back down, unwilling to go. To him, nothing was more important than Cheon Song-yi’s safety.
“Hey! Since you walked in, you’ve been saying ‘our Song-yi’ this and ‘our Song-yi’ that. When did I become yours?”
Cheon Song-yi glared at him, frustrated.
Leave already! She had something important to do next, but this clueless guy just wouldn’t take the hint.
