Villain of the urban TV/Movie Time-Travel - Chapter 2
Chapter 2: The Mission
Ding!! Congratulations, Host! You have acquired the abilities of a green-eyed zombie from My Date with a Vampire.
It wasn’t the most powerful red-eyed zombie, but green eyes weren’t bad either. At least in the world of My Love from the Star, he was practically invincible.
“System, I have 40,000 points left. Show me the system shop—what can I buy?” Yang Yu asked.
“You used 60,000 points to eliminate the black and white-eyed options, and 30,000 points to unlock the ability draw. You now have only 10,000 points left,” the system replied.
“What?! I thought borrowing abilities was a system reward! Why did it cost points? You never mentioned that!” Yang Yu complained.
He had worked hard for those points—he needed to get to the bottom of this.
“The first selection is free, but since you didn’t have enough points for your original choice, you wasted that opportunity. If you’re unhappy with your ability, the system can take it back and refund your points,” the system said coldly.
Yang Yu hesitated. Without the borrowed ability, he wouldn’t stand a chance in this world. He had no choice but to accept it.
“So… what can I buy with 10,000 points? System, any good recommendations?” he asked.
“For 10,000 points, you can remove the zombie side effects.”
“You mean… I won’t need to drink blood, and I can eat normal food?”
“Exactly. A great deal for just 10,000 points.”
“Alright, I’ll buy it.”
Ding!! Mission release initiated.
Main Mission 1: Collect luck.
Kill the alien for 100,000 points.
OR make the alien voluntarily give you 10,000 milliliters of blood to receive 200,000 points and inherit all of his abilities.
(Pick one. Failure = Erasure.)
Main Mission 2: Change Cheon Song-yi’s fate.
If you make the female lead chase after you, your rewards double.
Side Mission: Mess up the original storyline as much as possible.
Rewards based on chaos level.
Mission confirmed. Initiating world transfer…
Yang Yu lost consciousness. When he woke up, he found himself in a dark, cramped space.
“System, where am I? How long until the storyline begins? Is there a time limit for this mission?” he immediately asked.
“The mission duration is one year. The story begins in one day. And as a zombie, where else would you be? You’re inside a coffin.”
“Reminder: The abilities you borrowed will be taken away after you leave this world.”
“Good luck, Host! Have fun. Bye-bye.”
With that, the system disappeared.
Yang Yu clenched his fist and smashed the coffin lid open, sitting up.
He took two hours to adjust to his zombie abilities, testing his new strength. Then he glanced around—it was an ancient tomb. He had no idea whose, but he didn’t care. This wasn’t a tomb-raiding world, so he wasn’t interested.
Still, he grabbed two burial artifacts. He would need money later, and he wasn’t about to rob people just because he had powers. That would be lame.
With a single punch, he shattered the tomb’s ceiling and leaped out.
Next, he tested his telekinesis—his max range was 500 miles before it started giving him a headache. That was already pretty insane.
Exhausted, Yang Yu sat on the ground, his face pale. He started strategizing.
With his current strength, killing the alien professor wouldn’t be difficult.
But if he did that, he wouldn’t get the alien’s powers.
He wanted those powers.
Since the system gave him a choice, he decided to attempt the harder mission first. If he failed, he could always kill the alien later.
Right now, the story hadn’t started yet. Cheon Song-yi hadn’t met the alien.
If he could prevent them from meeting, completing his second mission would be much easier.
Teleporting instantly, Yang Yu arrived in South Korea.
He remembered that the alien professor lived near the SBS TV station. A quick telekinetic scan located Do Min-joon’s apartment—Cheon Song-yi hadn’t moved in next door yet.
Yang Yu smirked.
Time to mess with the alien.
He appeared in front of Do Min-joon’s door and rang the doorbell.
Inside, the alien—who had no friends—was surprised. The only person who ever visited him was Lawyer Jang, so who could this be?
Still, he didn’t overthink it and opened the door, his face as emotionless as ever.
“Who are you? What do you want?”
Yang Yu grinned. “I assume you understand Chinese? Let me introduce myself. I’m Yang Yu, from China. As for why I’m here…”
He smiled even wider.
“I’m here to collect rent.”
Do Min-joon frowned and switched to fluent Chinese.
“You must be mistaken. I own this apartment. I don’t rent.”
He moved to shut the door—
But Yang Yu stuck out his foot.
