Villain of the urban TV/Movie Time-Travel - Chapter 5
Chapter 5: First Meeting with Cheon Song-yi
Yang Yu returned to Do Min-joon’s house, wanting to replace everything. Using someone else’s belongings felt disgusting.
But he had no idea who to call for that—and besides, he had no money.
Once Do Min-joon transferred all his assets, Yang Yu would be rich. Four hundred years’ worth of wealth from an alien was no small sum. But in Korea, money alone wasn’t enough. Without power, even the simplest tasks would be inconvenient.
Back in his previous world, he had been the CEO of a Fortune 500 company. His subordinates handled everything for him.
Although he was skilled in business, he had no time to start a company from scratch in this world. The only way forward was to take control of a major corporation. Since it was in Korea, he had no moral qualms about using whatever means necessary.
Forget it. He’d deal with it tomorrow.
For now, he headed to Cheon Song-yi’s apartment. She hadn’t moved in yet, but the place was fully furnished with brand-new items. She was scheduled to move in the next day.
Yang Yu spent the night in her room.
The next morning, he sensed someone arriving at Do Min-joon’s house and teleported back instantly.
It was Lawyer Zhang.
He and Do Min-joon were close friends, so Do Min-joon had probably briefed him on the situation.
“Hello! Professor Do Min-joon sent me to handle the transfer of assets,” Lawyer Zhang said politely.
“Skip the details. Just tell me how much money there is,” Yang Yu said directly.
“I was shocked myself. I had no idea the professor was this wealthy. His total assets exceed ten trillion won—equivalent to about ten billion Chinese yuan. And that doesn’t even include his antique collection,” Lawyer Zhang explained.
“I don’t need the antiques. The house is mine, and transfer all the cash to me. You can keep the rest as your service fee,” Yang Yu said generously.
Four hundred years of saving, and this was all he had? Robbery seemed like a much faster way to get rich, Yang Yu mused.
“Understood. I just need your identification for some paperwork,” Lawyer Zhang said.
“I don’t have any of that. Handle it for me. My name is Yang Yu, and I’m from China—make sure you get that right. Also, replace all the clothes, bedsheets, and other fabrics in this house with brand-new ones immediately. Do it fast,” Yang Yu instructed.
After Lawyer Zhang left, Yang Yu began strategizing how to win over Cheon Song-yi.
She had a devoted admirer, Lee Hwi-kyung, who had pursued her for over ten years. If Yang Yu followed the same approach, it likely wouldn’t work.
A woman like Cheon Song-yi was more attracted to aloof men like Do Min-joon.
Nice guys had no chance. Lee Hwi-kyung had chased her for a decade, but he still lost to Do Min-joon in just three months.
No point overthinking. Meeting her first would be the best way to decide his next move.
Using his mental awareness, Yang Yu tracked Cheon Song-yi’s movements. She had just entered the apartment building and was waiting for the elevator.
He teleported to a corner near the elevator and casually walked up to her, pretending not to recognize her.
Ding! The elevator arrived.
Yang Yu stepped in first without even glancing at her.
Cheon Song-yi immediately assumed he was a crazy fan following her. She smirked coldly and entered the elevator.
After pressing the button for the 23rd floor, she turned to Yang Yu and said, “Aren’t you going to press a floor? Yes, I’m Cheon Song-yi. How did you know I moved here?”
“What do you want? An autograph? A photo?”
Same lines as in the original story, but Yang Yu wasn’t the silent type like Do Min-joon. This was a perfect chance to strike up a conversation.
“Sorry, I think you misunderstood,” he replied.
“Misunderstood? You think you can fool me with your act? Let me tell you, the last person who stalked me is still in the hospital,” she said, rolling her eyes and staring him down.
“I just moved in. Apartment 2302. My name is Yang Yu, from China,” he said with a smile, extending his hand.
Cheon Song-yi eyed him skeptically and made no move to shake his hand.
Just then, the elevator reached their floor.
Yang Yu withdrew his hand without hesitation and walked out as if nothing had happened.
A few steps later, he entered his apartment, punched in the passcode, and turned back to see Cheon Song-yi watching him.
The moment she saw the door open, she realized she had misunderstood.
Feeling awkward, she extended her hand sheepishly. “Lately, too many people have been stalking me. I didn’t expect us to be actual neighbors.”
She let out an embarrassed laugh.
Yang Yu chuckled, shook her hand briefly, then let go.
“Want to come in for a bit?” he asked with a smile.
“No, I have things to do. See you later.”
