Lin Feng removed his surgical gown, prompting Dr. Zhang Fan’s astonishment at his youthfulness. Curiosity getting the better of him, Dr. Zhang Fan approached Lin Feng and introduced himself as a Provincial Duck University Hospital doctor. They shook hands, and Dr. Zhang Fan admitted to holding the scope during the surgery. Lin Feng praised him for his impressive performance.
Dr. Zhang Fan felt awkward being praised by an intern despite his professor-level status. Intrigued, he inquired about Lin Feng’s source of surgical knowledge, to which Lin Feng mentioned books, videos, and medical journals. Dr. Zhang Fan couldn’t help but question the truth, contemplating his bet about eating necrotic tissue from pancreatitis if the intern was amazing.
Cai Song and his sister anxiously awaited the outcome outside the operating room. When Lin Feng and the team emerged, Cai Song eagerly approached Dr. Zhang Fan, seeking an update on his mother’s surgery. Dr. Zhang Fan attributed the success to Dr. Lin’s exceptional surgical skills, surpassing his own. Cai Song shows his gratitude to Dr. Lin, impressed by his abilities.
During the interaction, Dr. Zhang Fan discreetly handed Lin Feng his business card, suggesting they have dinner together and revealing his enthusiasm for recruiting Lin Feng to the Duck Hospital. Director Chen instantly grew suspicious and protective, viewing Zhang Fan’s actions as an attempt to undermine him.
