Chapter 10: The Game Comes to Reality Ahead of Time?!
Ye Qiu opened his eyes and sat up in bed.
Instinctively, he clenched his fist.
“This… this…” He took a sharp breath.
To his shock, he was wearing the same blue equipment set he had just obtained from the treasure chest in the game!
The steel jacket, steel pants, steel boots, and even the steel sword placed beside him.
“What’s going on?!
“Wasn’t the game supposed to merge with reality in ten days?
“What’s happening to me?!”
Ye Qiu was utterly confused.
He clearly remembered that in his previous life, even after reaching level 5 in the game and obtaining several white-grade equipment along with a single blue-grade item, none of it had carried over into the real world within those ten days.
But now, everything had changed!
Before he could fully process his shock, a data panel appeared before his eyes:

“This is…” Ye Qiu was stunned. “This is my in-game character’s data?!”
His mind was in chaos.
He could have misremembered other things, but he would never mistake the timing of the game’s integration with reality!
In his past life, this only happened ten days after the game servers shut down. That was when everything from the game began to descend upon reality.
But now… it had all happened early?!
Ye Qiu immediately turned on the TV and checked the internet.
However, aside from discussions about the “brain-implanted game”, there was no mention of “game items appearing in reality.”
Taking a deep breath, he murmured, “Am I the only one who experienced this early? No… there’s another possibility. Other players are still low-level, with barely any equipment, so they haven’t noticed the change yet.”
Regardless of the reason, this was an anomaly.
Just then, his phone lit up with several missed calls from unknown numbers.
Ye Qiu frowned.
Checking the caller ID, he saw they were all from his city.
Which meant… they were likely people he knew.
But he didn’t return the calls. Instead, he opened his messaging app.
Beep! Beep!
Instantly, multiple notification sounds popped up.
Aside from a few class group chats, he saw one particularly familiar name:
“Born Cute.”
The sender had a female gender tag and had bombarded him with ten messages:
8 hours ago – Born Cute: “What do you mean by that?!”
8 hours ago – Born Cute: “Ye Qiu, explain yourself clearly!”
6 hours ago – Born Cute: “Where are you? Hiding like a coward?!”
6 hours ago – Born Cute: “Come out!!!”
5 hours ago – Born Cute: “I heard about your family situation from classmates, but that doesn’t mean you can just say whatever you want.”
3 hours ago – Born Cute: “Are you mentally stressed because of the countdown? Is that why you’re talking nonsense?”
2 hours ago – Born Cute: “As class president, I should support my classmates. Are you facing some kind of trouble?”
30 minutes ago – Born Cute: “The countdown ended. It’s just a game, not the end of the world. No need to be so anxious!”
10 minutes ago – Born Cute: “Say something! Are you okay?”
5 minutes ago – Born Cute: “I asked a classmate for your number and called over ten times, but you’re not picking up. If you don’t reply, I’ll come find you myself!”
Ye Qiu paused.
It was clear now. This “Born Cute” was Su Xintong, his high school class president.
His memory of her was vague, mainly because they had barely interacted.
In three years of high school, they had exchanged less than three sentences.
His impression of her boiled down to three things: Proud, beautiful, and nosy.
Of course, his strongest memory of her was that scene in his past life. The moment when Su Xintong was impaled by a Giant Hornet’s venomous stinger, pinned to a wall…
After a moment of reflection, Ye Qiu’s heart felt an unfamiliar warmth.
Two lifetimes… and he had rarely experienced genuine concern from others.
After hesitating, he finally replied with two words, “Thank you.”
Almost immediately, a reply came:
[Born Cute: I thought something happened to you! You scared me!] [Born Cute: If you have any problems, just say it! We’re classmates, we should help each other! And as class president, it’s my duty!] [Born Cute: Alright, since you’re fine, I won’t nag anymore.]Ye Qiu exhaled.
Then, he typed back:
[Class president, listen to me. You need to level up as quickly as possible in the game. Remember, you only have ten days.]He had been monitoring the news for hours.
Everything was still calm, which meant that, so far, he was the only one who had brought in-game stats into reality!

Somewhere else in a girls’ dormitory…
Inside a spacious dormitory, several bunk beds were occupied by sleeping students.
A lone girl sat on her bed, scrolling through her phone.
She looked about 17 or 18 years old, but her features carried an air of mature elegance.
With large, bright eyes, flawless fair skin, and a silky white hoodie that accentuated her snow-white complexion, she looked like a princess straight out of a fairytale.
Her figure was tall and slender, her waist delicate, exuding a mix of elegance and seduction.
Yet, at this moment, her pouting lips added a touch of adorable innocence.
She was none other than Su Xintong.
As she stared at Ye Qiu’s last message, her delicate brows furrowed… then relaxed… then furrowed again.
Her expression was conflicted.
“Is he crazy again?” she muttered, “All that concern for nothing. Now he’s back to talking nonsense.”
This time, she didn’t bother replying. Nor did she get angry.
Instead… she felt a little sorry for him.
She had asked around about his background.
Ye Qiu’s parents had died in an accident three years ago.
Since then… he had been an orphan. No wonder he was so withdrawn at school.
As for his latest message? She didn’t take it seriously.
She had zero interest in games, especially this one where pain felt real.
She hated pain.
Glancing around the dorm at her sleeping roommates, Su Xintong sighed. “Are they really this obsessed with the game?”
