My Villainous Destiny: Doomsday Descends - Chapter 20
Chapter 20: No Way?
Chen Zhong was startled and quickly turned around to see Qin Jun slowly emerging. Alongside him were Xie Han and Su Ya, flanking him on either side.
An Mian had a gun pointed at her head by Xie Han.
“Qin Jun!?!” Chen Zhong’s face turned extremely ugly. He never expected Qin Jun to appear here!
Shouldn’t he still be at the camp familiarizing himself with his abilities!? How did Qin Jun find this place?
For a moment, countless questions flashed through Chen Zhong’s mind. From the beginning, Chen Zhong had been very cautious, choosing the perfect time to leave quietly.
He didn’t completely trust Lieutenant Wang.
After leaving the camp, Chen Zhong had hidden with An Mian for a long time, observing the camp to ensure everything was normal and no one was following them.
Only then did they head towards Dongxing Building. Moreover, they had taken winding paths and alleys, avoiding the main roads.
Although this caution seemed paranoid and overly suspicious, Chen Zhong knew that all precautions were necessary. He was just one step away from an earth-shattering change.
No mistakes could be made! Chen Zhong’s plans were flawless. If everything went as planned, not even Qin Jun mobilizing the entire camp’s soldiers would find him.
But An Mian was the unforeseen variable. The moment An Mian put on the amulet given by Su Ya, all of Chen Zhong’s meticulous planning became a joke…
“No way!” Chen Zhong’s heart sank to the bottom, his expression turning grim and ugly.
A truth he didn’t want to accept was right in front of him—he might not get the SSS-grade talent. Even worse, the situation could become much more severe…
An Mian looked at Su Ya in disbelief. Though she was naive and innocent, she wasn’t completely brainless. Seeing this, she knew she had been deceived by Su Ya!
She took out the amulet given by Su Ya and found a GPS locator inside! An Mian stared at Su Ya, her heart filled with grievance and regret.
She pointed at Su Ya and screamed, “Su Ya, why did you lie to me! I trusted you so much!”
An Mian was so aggrieved that she began to cry. She felt it was so unfair, and she felt incredibly wronged!
She had never lied to or harmed Su Ya, and she trusted Su Ya completely, doing everything Su Ya asked, but Su Ya had deceived her!
Why? How could Su Ya be so cruel?
As she cried, tears streaming down her face, Su Ya remained expressionless, feeling a perverse satisfaction.
This An Mian, so naive and innocent to the point of being disgusting. Did she think the world was a beautiful utopia? No, the world was inherently cruel.
An Mian was simply not suited to survive in this era! Her actions were merely survival of the fittest.
An Mian cried to Chen Zhong, “Chen Zhong, I’m sorry, it’s all my fault. Su Ya tricked me….”
Chen Zhong finally understood what had happened. He looked at the GPS locator in An Mian’s hand with a grim expression.
A single oversight!
He never thought that Qin Jun would target An Mian, who was easily deceived by Su Ya! No wonder Qin Jun could find him so easily!
Chen Zhong clenched his fists tightly, almost grinding his teeth. He was just one step away from the SSS-grade talent seed, and now this happened!
For a moment, Chen Zhong felt a great deal of resentment towards An Mian. When he had asked An Mian if she had told anyone about their plan, she said no, which made him let his guard down.
Why didn’t An Mian tell him the truth!?
Chen Zhong also regretted it as he knew An Mian was very naive, but he still told her about the SSS-grade talent out of a moment of sentimentality.
However, Chen Zhong’s greatest hatred was directed at Su Ya, not even Qin Jun.
Chen Zhong glared at Su Ya with murderous intent. He had once loved this woman deeply, thinking she was the kindest girl in the world.
But he was wrong; Su Ya was a venomous woman, showing no regard for their past. From the start, she intended to kill him!
What to do?!
Chen Zhong’s body trembled slightly. Even though the situation was dire, he was unwilling to give up. His eyes suddenly shone brightly, and he lunged at Qin Jun!
There was still one last way—controlling Qin Jun.
Although Qin Jun had awakened an S-grade talent, he hadn’t yet fully adapted to it. Chen Zhong had adapted to his strength enhancement, making him currently stronger than Qin Jun!
This was his only advantage!
If he could control Qin Jun, he could save An Mian and still claim the SSS-grade talent seed for himself!
Chen Zhong moved at an incredible speed. Despite exhausting much of his strength fighting zombie beasts, he unleashed his last reserves of energy in this desperate moment!
His figure became a blur, too fast for the naked eye to follow.
Xie Han’s face showed killing intent as he drew his gun and fired at Chen Zhong, but Chen Zhong was too fast. Xie Han missed all seven shots. In an instant, Chen Zhong was upon Qin Jun, reaching for his throat!
Qin Jun remained expressionless, not even flinching.
The next moment, Chen Zhong screamed in agony. His right hand twisted at an impossible angle, snapped by an invisible force!
The intense pain nearly caused Chen Zhong to faint.
“Psychic control!? How is this possible!” Chen Zhong’s face was filled with disbelief. He hadn’t expected Qin Jun to be able to use such terrifying psychic powers without fully mastering his talent.
It left him completely powerless, but Chen Zhong was not one to be easily defeated. His mind remained sharp even amidst pain. He quickly shifted direction, using his left hand to grip Su Ya’s throat.
“Qin Jun, let An Mian go, or I’ll kill Su Ya!” Qin Jun looked at Chen Zhong with a strange sense of absurdity.
Did Chen Zhong really think he would care about Su Ya’s life?
