I Am the Fated Villain - Chapter 308
Chapter 308: Is this the strength of your ‘joint forces’? Don’t you misunderstand your strength?
The vibrant blood coalesced in his palm, transforming into a vivid war spear, razor-sharp, thrusting toward the heavens, bearing down on Ying Shuang with deadly intent.
“Damn it!”
“Even now, you still doubt me?”
Ying Shuang’s expression soured.
A swirling mist of colorful blood enveloped his form, akin to divine ichor. As the emperor’s son, he wielded the same potent bloodline as Prince Sheng, a lineage so commanding it made the very void quiver with its might.
Puff!
In the ensuing clash, it was as if two celestial bodies collided.
Yet Ying Shuang staggered, blood spewing forth, his arms nearly torn asunder by the force of the spear, its unstoppable strength threatening to rend his very organs.
Acting swiftly, Ying Shuang retreated at breakneck speed, akin to a phoenix in flight, propelled by an urgency to avoid further confrontation.
“And where do you think you’re going?”
“Why hold back your mastery of the dark arts? Underestimating me?”
Prince Sheng’s retort was as cold as ice as he pursued, his four spirit chariots trailing behind. But his countenance swiftly shifted to one of shock and fury.
“Gu Changge, what are you doing here?”
“The wielder of the dark arts is my quarry. Are you hoping for an advantage?”
Even as Ying Shuang fled, his face twisted in horror, his panic palpable, as though he’d glimpsed a specter, a chill creeping through his veins.
Unbeknownst to him, ripples began to form in the void ahead.
Then, with a serene smile gracing his lips, Gu Changge emerged from the room, his eyes calm and profound, reminiscent of polished jade, his garments billowing around him, exuding an air of elegance and refinement.
“Why stop now?” Gu Changge couldn’t resist a smile as he gazed at the pale-faced Ying Shuang.
Meanwhile, Prince Sheng, in hot pursuit with his four spirit chariots, was momentarily disregarded.
“Gu Changge, what quarrel do you have with me that you persist in framing me?” Ying Shuang’s entire being was gripped by a bone-chilling coldness, his limbs quaking, his very soul trembling. Though he struggled to compose himself, his voice betrayed his fear.
Never had he felt such terror and despair as he did in that moment. Wasn’t Gu Changge occupied with the battle against the golden ancient bell? How had he suddenly appeared here?
“No quarrel? On the contrary, there is plenty.” Gu Changge’s smile remained serene. “Let us not forget our enmity, your Highness.”
Ying Shuang’s countenance grew even paler, his desperation mounting. He clenched his teeth, almost choking on his words. “But… I…”
His jealousy towards Gu Changge, his desire to strip him of everything, had remained largely unspoken. How had Gu Changge become privy to it?
“Gu Changge, what do you intend?” Prince Sheng’s voice cut through the tension as he drew nearer in his four-spirit chariot. Although he found Gu Changge’s sudden appearance perplexing, he didn’t delve too deeply into the matter.
In his view, Gu Changge seemed to be seeking advantage upon witnessing Ying Shuang’s severe injury inflicted by him. But how could such fortune exist in this world?
“What do I mean? Can’t you see it for yourself?” Gu Changge glanced at him calmly, a smile playing on his lips. “Since Ying Shuang is your prey, then he shall be yours. Rest assured, I won’t interfere.”
With that, he gracefully withdrew, his white robes trailing behind him as he moved to the other side.
Prince Sheng furrowed his brow, feeling a peculiar sensation that hinted at something amiss. Could it be, as Ying Shuang claimed, that he was truly being framed?
However, before he could dwell further on the matter, a rainbow manifested beneath Ying Shuang’s feet as he attempted to flee. Reacting swiftly, Prince Sheng gave chase, propelled by urgency.
Whoosh!
A gust of wind swept through, sending Ying Shuang hurtling like a leaf in the breeze, blood gushing from his mouth, his body battered and broken, unable to rise.
“What a disappointment. I didn’t anticipate you’d be so fragile.” Prince Sheng’s tone turned icy. “If you persist in this charade, don’t blame me for showing no mercy.”
He advanced swiftly, once again conjuring the multicolored spear in his grasp, intent on driving Ying Shuang into the ground. Yet, in the next moment, his expression underwent a drastic shift, as if struck by lightning, disbelief etched across his features.
Puff!
Blood sprayed forth, resembling a vibrant crimson blossom, splattering across him. From behind, a slender white hand pierced through, rending flesh asunder in a ghastly wound that appeared almost translucent from front to back.
With a faint smile, Gu Changge materialized behind him.
“Gu Changge…”
“You…”
Prince Sheng snarled, turning his head, his complexion paling in disbelief. In this critical moment, Gu Changge had turned his attack on him. Wasn’t he supposed to be dealing with Ying Shuang?
Nevertheless, Prince Sheng reacted swiftly, expelling a grain of crystalline divine sand from his mouth. In an instant, it expanded to the size of a mountain, forming a shield that hurtled toward Gu Changge.
“Did you truly believe that would suffice?” Gu Changge’s smile remained nonchalant.
A terrifying sword aura erupted from his fingertips, akin to molten gold, tearing Prince Sheng asunder. Multicolored divine blood cascaded from the heavens, imbued with a crystalline essence.
With his other hand, Gu Changge swiftly dispatched the mountain-sized divine sand, causing it to explode with a resounding boom.
“Why, Gu Changge, why…” Prince Sheng coughed up blood, his face drained of color, his body on the brink of collapse. His bones and organs lay shredded by the sword’s energy while an insidious sword light gnawed away at his vitality, hindering his recovery.
His scalp tingled, a chill creeping down his spine, his very soul on the verge of freezing.
“Could it be that what Ying Shuang said was true…” Prince Sheng’s realization struck him like a bolt of lightning. He wasn’t foolish, merely preoccupied. But now, in light of Ying Shuang’s terror and Gu Changge’s actions, the pieces fell into place.
Ying Shuang hadn’t deceived him!
It dawned on Prince Sheng that Gu Changge had orchestrated everything behind the scenes. He was the true master of the dark arts!
The revelation threatened to shatter Prince Sheng’s mind, a bone-chilling realization that had never crossed his thoughts before. From the outset, Gu Changge had manipulated them all; even the formidable Dao forces were mere pawns in his game.
The sheer magnitude of Gu Changge’s manipulation was terrifying. Merely contemplating, it sent shivers down Prince Sheng’s spine.
“I warned you long ago, but you chose not to believe me,” Ying Shuang remarked, spitting blood as he rose from the ground. A flicker of satisfaction crossed his eyes upon witnessing Prince Sheng’s realization, only to be replaced by grim determination.
“Now, our only hope lies in joining forces. Otherwise, we both face certain death today.”
“Gu Changge, how…” Ying Shuang began, but his expression abruptly shifted, and he coughed up a gout of blood.
Out of nowhere, Gu Changge appeared before him, bringing his foot down with terrifying force. With a sickening crack, Ying Shuang’s bones shattered his body on the brink of explosion under immense pressure.
The swiftness of the attack left Ying Shuang reeling as if Gu Changge had vanished into thin air.
“Join forces?” Gu Changge’s laughter rang out lightly, a ferocious demonic aura emanating from his hand.
In the blink of an eye, the Eight Desolate Demon Halberd materialized in Gu Changge’s grasp, emitting a resounding tremor that reverberated through the heavens as he casually slashed downward.
The blade’s terrifying light descended from another realm with unparalleled sharpness, piercing through Prince Sheng once more, who, despite his sudden change in demeanor, attempted to resist.
The very fabric of the void ruptured, unleashing horrific cracks spanning hundreds of miles. Even the Heavenly Extinction creatures, devoid of spirit, cowered in fear, refusing to draw near.
“Is this the strength of your alliance?” Gu Changge chuckled nonchalantly as black Dao runes cascaded through the air, merging into a mist that transformed into a Dao treasure bottle, descending upon Prince Sheng.
Boom!
Yet, in the next instant, the divine Emperor’s son’s expression shifted dramatically, an overwhelming aura surging forth in his consciousness.
A sword materialized, gleaming with divine gold brilliance, wielded by a deity. Horrific shadows emerged along its path, rending the universe asunder, collapsing stars, and reducing the world to ruin.
However, Gu Changge remained composed, extending his fingers as a beam of sword energy erupted forth, dispersing the onslaught. The leaden weight of destruction dissolved into dust.
The collision of the two swords unleashed cataclysmic aftershocks, threatening to rend sky and earth apart. Prince Sheng grunted in agony, his brow splitting open, his deity on the brink of collapse.
“I refuse to accept it!” he bellowed, his divine soul flickering with light.
A purple-gold divine lamp emerged, exuding a supreme aura capable of incinerating the heavens. As the son of the Heavenly Emperor, he possessed a life-preserving artifact, activated only in dire circumstances.
Buzz!
However, Gu Changge had foreseen this. The grand Dao treasure bottle materialized behind him, casting a dark shroud that blanketed the sky in a haze of gray mist, swiftly engulfing everything in its path.
Even the supreme-level divine lamp was swiftly swallowed by its voracious darkness.
“You truly are the true inheritor of diabolic arts… Your concealment runs deep,” the divine Emperor muttered, his complexion paling, his body quaking. Even his Four Spirit Chariot shattered into fragments under the onslaught of the Great Dao runes.
“But your hesitation proved fatal,” Gu Changge scoffed incredulously as the ominous darkness enveloped him entirely.
Subsequently, unwilling and enraged cries reverberated from within, sending shivers down Ying Shuang’s spine and plunging his soul into the depths of terror.
“Gu Changge, you dare not kill me. If you do, your true identity will be exposed,” Prince Sheng’s voice quivered, his desperation palpable, his knees trembling as if to kneel in supplication.
In the end, he was nothing but a frightened child, consumed by abject terror.
“That remains to be seen,” Gu Changge remarked casually before delivering a fatal palm strike, annihilating Prince Sheng’s body and spirit in one fell swoop.
Even in his final moments, Ying Shuang clung to hope, his fear overwhelming.
Of course, prior to this, Gu Changge had already seized the supposed stream of luck points from the son of luck.
As a precaution, Gu Changge retained a fragment of Prince Sheng’s soul tethered to the soul lamp within his divine soul.
Simultaneously, a system prompt resounded.
“Ding! You have eliminated the son of luck, triggering the luck-clearing drop rule. Heavenly Dao treasure box dropped. Settlement in progress…”
