Chapter 35: Mysterious, strong man, grab something from Hongjun!
Inside Purple Heaven Palace, the powerful supernatural beings in attendance were shocked and appalled. They never expected someone to make a mistake in the sacred dojo, especially in such a revered place as the Purple Heaven Palace, the domain of Taoist Hongjun, the saint of heaven and the mightiest figure in the wild.
As an overwhelming aura descended, even those near the status of quasi-saints felt an intense oppression that weighed heavily on their hearts. The three thousand Purple Heaven guests suddenly found it difficult to breathe, burdened as if carrying immense ancient mountains on their shoulders.
Even Hongjun, a supremely powerful figure, from the Ninth Heaven of Hunyuan, felt a hint of pressure. There was a moment of unease.
Moments later, Hongjun, with his celestial prowess, gazed across the expanse, his eyes seemingly capable of comprehending the universe. His attention fell upon the majestic sacred mountain in the prehistoric world, Buzhou Mountain. However, he couldn’t discern any details; his vision was clouded.
Yet, at this time, there was no mountain on Buzhou Mountain. Instead, it was filled with a powerful Hunyuan energy, and the essence of the Three Thousand Laws enshrouded it, creating a strong Taoist atmosphere.
Even Hongjun couldn’t perceive it, and this brought about a slight disturbance. He shifted his focus to Purple Heaven Palace, where a massive vortex-like wormhole suddenly appeared, sending shockwaves through everyone present.
A colossal hand emerged, composed of the essence of the Three Thousand Laws, carrying the boundless chaos energy. This hand could annihilate entire star systems and billions of worlds. The great supernatural beings reacted with alarm, quickly channeling their most potent magic to defend themselves against this menacing force.
During this turmoil, a voice cried, “How can you make a mistake in the Saint Dojo?” Hongjun displayed his anger, and above his head, the jade plate of good fortune, though damaged, revealed the incomplete Three Thousand Ways. In an instant, the jade plate released three thousand paths, and the fragmented treasures of chaos dispersed, imbued with the power of good fortune.
Then, three formidable auras emerged from Hongjun’s body, each representing a different aspect of him: good, evil, and id. Alongside his physical form, these four figures emerged and converged in a united front, breaking through the multi-dimensional void as they advanced toward the colossal hand. In this realm of endless birth and death, they could suppress even a Hunyuan saint.
The entire arena was stunned as they witnessed this intense confrontation. People felt as if time had stopped, and their hearts were frozen. It was the first time they had seen Hongjun in such a wrathful state, emanating an aura of destruction that could bury the ancient void.
The clash of their Hunyuan energies created a thunderous roar that shook the heavens and stirred up chaotic winds, causing ancient stars to fall from the galaxy. The realm seemed to tremble under their tremendous power.
Even the most powerful beings like Laozi, Yuanshi, Dijun, Donghuang Taiyi, and Zhen Yuanzi, who held great supernatural abilities, couldn’t help but be awed, realizing their insignificance in the face of such overwhelming might.
Yet, in a surprising turn of events, some keen observers noticed that Hongjun, the renowned powerhouse of the prehistoric era, had momentarily lowered his stance during the confrontation. It made one wonder if even Hongjun could be disadvantaged in certain situations.
Hongjun determined not to display weakness in front of the prehistoric creatures, summoned the will of heaven to bolster his resolve. The Eye of Heaven’s Punishment appeared behind him, indicating divine indifference. With the infusion of heavenly power, Hongjun’s eyes grew colder, and the power of the Hunyuan law intertwined within him, culminating above his head.
In the blink of an eye, the overwhelming aura that had enveloped Purple Heaven Palace gradually dissipated, and the Eye of Heaven’s Punishment disappeared into the nameless void and chaos.
The onlookers were left in stunned silence, their astonishment evident in their expressions. They were bewildered by the mysterious power that had confronted Hongjun, as there should have been no other Hunyuan powerhouse in the prehistoric era apart from him. They couldn’t fathom who this new, enigmatic Hunyuan entity was and why they had challenged Hongjun.
Then, a profound voice resonated from Mount Buzhou, revealing the truth. “Hongjun, I have reclaimed the Four Swords of Jade Immortals and the Jade Immortals’ diagram. Furthermore, these treasures now belong to my disciple, the Heavenly Lord.”
The voice carried an air of indifference and certainty. As Hongjun checked the universe within his grasp, he was horrified to discover that the Four Swords of the Jade Dynasty and the Jade Dynasty’s diagram were gone. His fury flared as he realized the identity of the perpetrator. “So it’s you again… Taoist Ye Xiu!” Hongjun gritted his teeth, his eyes filled with rage.
