Starting Life as a Baron - Chapter 7
Chapter 7 Upgrade! First Class knight!
Amy looked around very lively as they made their way to the castle. She looked at the entire world with vivid curiosity. At the same time, she liked to lie on Alan’s shoulder and touch his face. Alan liked Amy’s friendliness.
When Alan took Amy into the castle, the whole building seemed to explode. Edward and Sparrow, along with all the servants and maids, gathered around with their eyes fixated on Amy. Everyone had looks of shock and ecstasy.
“The gods are with us. Am I hallucinating?!” Sparrow exclaimed
Sparrow’s face showed excitement as he began to pray to the gods.
“My Lord Baron, who is this Nature Spirit?” Edward asked excitedly.
“This is my first Nature Spirit, but it is definitely not the last one,” Alan said. “There will be more spirits and even fairies in the future! I am a person who is watched by the gods, and I will rise!”
Marco recounted what had happened before as everyone’s view of Alan changed. A miracle, that is a miracle! Is Alan really touched by the Gods? They all thought.
“Oh, unbelievable! This beautiful little thing is really our Nature Spirit?” Sparrow’s eyes flashed with wonder and his heart began to race.
Alan had a Nature Spirit. Everyone knew that nobles with a Nature Spirit were on a completely different level than those without. Sparrow was originally just a person who was forced by the Earl to follow Alan, and had originally planned to leave when he faltered. Sparrow did not expect Alan to surprise him.
“The gods bless us. My lord, you have your own Nature Spirit, which means that you will have a huge and stable source of wealth!” Edward said with joy.
“Yes, grandpa Edward. Amy will change our situation!” Alan said with a smile.
“Dear Lord Baron, please accept my allegiance!” Sparrow said.
Sparrow had not sworn allegiance before in order to allow himself to leave, but now it seemed that Alan was not as undesirable as he had thought. In one day, he was able to get a Nature Spirit. Sparrow’s view on Alan was already very positive. What was more, Marco said that the spirit was born entirely because of Alan. He knew this was true because Marco could not lie, which means that Alan either had an incredible ability or he was a god.
No matter the ability, Sparrow figured it was worth gambling on his future to be with Alan. Alan looked down at Sparrow kneeling on the ground, swearing his allegiance to him. A look of satisfaction flashed in his eyes, as it seemed Sparrow was still smart.
“I accept your allegiance,” Alan said.
Sparrow was selected by the Earl to be Alan’s financial officer, so he had to be capable, and Alan needed someone who was capable.
“Sparrow, you will not regret your actions,” Alan said with a smile.
Alan asked the servants to prepare lunch, then asked for a special room to be prepared for Amy to rest. All the while, he was constantly talking with his new friend. Thanks to Alan’s efforts, Amy soon mastered her power and could spawn magical plants. However, there were relatively few that could be spawned compared to other Nature Spirits. Only one acre of land’s worth of plants was spawned.
Amy still needed to grow the roses in the fields, so that was why her power was weaker. After asking Amy to open up a magic rose garden near his castle, the servants brought lunch. It was white bread, caviar, grilled meat, and pastries. This was a standard lunch for nobles.
After his meal, Alan ground up Amy’s favorite magic crystal and fed it to her. He then carried a large plate of meat into the study without letting anyone approach. He needed to feed young Safi. Alan closed the study door and brought the food into the nest. Safi was currently sleeping in the crystal valley.
“Safi, come get your lunch,” Allan said while patting her head.
Alan watched as Safi ate her lunch and then withdrew from the nest.
“Well, from now on, I have to study this System.”
After taking good care of Safi and Amy, Alan felt relieved. He finally had enough time to deal with his own problems. First of all, he decided to upgrade himself with his experience points. A ping sounded in Alan’s head.
“Do you want to upgrade?” The System prompted, to which Alan smiled.
“Upgrade!”
Soon, the experience points were consumed and Alan’s level changed from 0 to 1! At the same time, a new type of energy broke through his past body’s bottleneck. Fighting energy revolved around him and a trace of warmth spread throughout his person.
“A first class knight! Sure enough, the character level is tied to my strength!”
