Summary
In the seventh year of the Zhenyuan era, Li Qiye (Lǐ Qīyè (李七夜)) had crossed into the Great Tang, assuming the mantle of the eldest son of Emperor Li Shimin. On the day of his birth, the heavens wept, and a hundred ghosts roamed the night, marking him as an ill omen. Thus, he was cast into the Demon-Sealing Tower, his sacrifice deemed the price for the Great Tang’s enduring prosperity.
Years passed, and the Great Tang flourished, basking in an era of peace and opulence. Li Qiye’s name faded from memory, and the world believed him dead. Yet, within the shadowed depths of the Demon-Sealing Tower, Li Qiye had inherited the legacy of the Evil Sword Immortal. Countless demons bowed before him. The entire tower was under his dominion.
“The world has forsaken me, so I shall forsake the world!”
“With evil intent as my sword, I ascend to immortality. I am the Evil Sword Immortal!”
“Father, do you still recognise your son?”
On that fateful day, the Evil Sword Immortal emerged, and the Six Realms trembled in chaos. Emperor Li Shimin could never have fathomed that the root of this upheaval, the Evil Sword Immortal, was none other than his forgotten son.
