Chapter 53. Only By Mercilessly Killing Can You End Your Troubles! Head Straight For Kumori!

Klizi’s grandson was riding a horse, and it was originally thought that he would crush Lynn with his advantages. Yet, it was him who was crushed! At the head of the army, he only wanted to escape!

“Return to the territory!” He said to himself. “Just return to the territory and I will be safe!”

This was the only thought inside of his mind, however a single spell flew by and exploded right beside him! His horse was blown to the ground. Lynn was already staring at him and would not let him escape. Several of the half beast warriors caught the grandson and because of the warriors incredible strength, his arm was squeezed off. The child made a miserable cry. The other warriors continued to hunt down the enemy forces as Lynn rode up to the grandson.

“Do not……” The grandson tried to beg for mercy, but Lynn pierced the man’s mouth with his sword.

The nobles who saw this scene shuddered. If Lynn had tortured the grandson they would not have been so scared, but Lynn was too simple. There was no nonsense in his actions as he just easily killed and killed and killed. It was scary.

The grandson had offended Lynn and would not be given a chance to beg for mercy even if it had not insulted him. The warriors randomly threw the grandson’s corpse aside and ignored the body after that. Lynn did not even glance at the corpse. The dead were nothing to note on the battlefield. Lynn maintained his previous strategy of killing the entire enemy forces so that they would not be able to cause any more trouble in the future.

The war lasted for less than an hour, and had turned into a complete pursuit. From the 1,500 troops in the enemy army, there were probably less than 500 of them left. The distinct power of the half beasts was really amazing, as they held an epee and swung at a dozen soldiers at a time!

Even if the armor was hit nothing pierced the soldiers’ skin, but the inertia of the heavy sword was enough to shatter the internal organs of the troops. The entirety of the 1,500 enemy soldiers were killed off, with Lynn only losing a little more than 70 warriors. The main friendly casualties were the warriors who were rank three.

Lynn ordered his warriors to take back the friendly corpses and to bury them in the Frost Maple Mountains – their home. The injured warriors were to travel to Maple Leaf City for treatment as soon as they could. The remaining 70 warriors with light injuries would travel to the enemy’s high ground alongside Lynn.

Klizi fell to the ground and the butler peed himself in shock. Several of the servants besides them were too afraid to run away, and Lynn stepped forward and confirmed that Klizi was still breathing. He then pierced the enemy Lord in the heart with his sword.

Klizi died in the war intended to conquer Maple Leaf City, as were the remaining steward and servants. Lynn could not let them live since he thought they would be like his servants who would want revenge at the death of their Lord. Lynn could not let them stay alive for all of the trouble they may cause. This was a cruel way to do things but in this world where wars and conflicts continued, the people who were not cruel ended up greeting death.

“It takes a day and a half to travel to Kumori, so we will eat here. Once we finish, we will bring dry food and lay siege to the town!” Lynn stated.

The logistics that the Klizi army brought over would be sufficient for Lynn’s army, as there was about 60,000 pounds of food. Now, all of these supplies were now Lynn’s. The warriors opened all of the materials without a care and quickly lit a fire. Then, they began to eat their first meal after their victory.

Lynn also consumed three pounds of barbecue and one pound of bread, while his horse ate enough grass to become satisfied. For the journey, Lynn brought ten pounds of meat and three pounds of bread, while the energetic half beast warriors each brought forty pounds of meat and ten pounds of bread.  They all set off with supplies in hand. The nobles all looked at Lynn’s back in the distance with a blank face.

“What is he going to do? Has he not won the war already? Why does he not return to the city?”

“That direction…My God! He is going to attack Kumori!”

“What a crazy man! My goodness, he just won a war! Instead of resting he wants to continue to fight?! I do not want to fight him anymore.  I just want to return to my territory and talk to Lord Theresa that I am willing to have a friendly relationship with Sir Lynn!”

All of the nobles looked at the corpses scattered all over the plains and left with mixed feelings. As they were leaving, several magicians who had hidden their aura slowly appeared and checked the battlefield. One of the wizards took out a magic stone and injected mana into it.  The stone turned red. In the main hall of Frost Maple City, the Marquis of Trellen took out a philosopher stone and smiled.

“Theresa, the result of the war is soon to arrive. The battle will be over soon. It is estimated that Lynn has lost and is probably dead. Theresa, does your heart ache?”

Faced with Tellen’s provocation, Theresa snorted coldly. The only thing that betrayed her true feelings was that her hands hidden in her dress’ sleeves froze. Tellen was a magician, and injected mana into his stone to activate it.

“My Lord Marquis, the war has ended. The Klizi army has been wiped out, giving Lynn a complete victory. With seventy half beast warriors, he has gone to attack Kumori.”

The elegant face of the Marquis had a confident smile floating across his face.

“Have you heard? Lynn… What?!”

Realizing something was wrong, Tellen showed a hint of shock that was not befitting of a tempered aristocrat. Theresa was also stupefied for a completely different reason. Lynn had won the battle just as Theresa’s had thought all along. This inexplicable confidence in him probably came from Lucy’s trust in her fiancee. What shocked her was that Lynn had not rested and went straight to siege the city. Theresa never expected this!

This… Is this okay? Theresa thought.
