- Chapter 6 - Get new crops! There is also a magic potion!
Lynn and Lucy were going to sleep in the same room. Lucy was in her pajamas with an ever lovely blush on her face, and she was unsure whether it was from the heat of the fire or the curiosity of what Lynn would do to her. Lynn casually looked at her and eased her worries.
”I promised Theresa that I would get intimate with you once we were married, so you can talk and sleep with a peace of mind.”
Lucy felt relieved, yet a little disappointed. She had no choice but to sleep, and when morning came the village roosters sang their morning call. Lynn woke up and looked at Lucy’s lovely sleeping face. He then sat up, and as soon as he did, he heard the system make a sound.
”Congratulations! The host has gained 100 points.”
Lynn was absorbed in the moment, and felt a rush of happiness. Lynn finally figured out how to gain system points. Depending on the size and quality of the territory Lynn owned, he would gain points everyday at six in the morning. Whether the system had its own formula, however, was a different story. Lynn had no idea since it was not explicitly mentioned.
When he woke up, Lynn had not expected to gain one hundred points for the territory. He suddenly felt an even greater urge to reconstruct the territory. Taking advantage of the hazy sky, Lynn got up to wash his face and then rinsed his mouth with salt water. Once finished, he went to the restaurant and took a seat. Turning to Buno, he started a conversation.
”Choose five villagers and take all of the half-wolf warriors to have a meal of meat. I want to go further into the Maple Mountain this time.”
Buno nodded out of respect, but he was a little worried.
”Worried about the supplies?” Lynn smiled and asked. Buno nodded.
”The warriors eat too much. If this continues, I am afraid that your meals will become hard to guarantee.”
”Do not worry. We have a lot of gold coins in hand, and it is no big problem to go to the city to buy supplies,” Lynn casually replies.
Over the years, Lynn had saved fifteen gold goins. He also had the ten gold coins that were given to him when he left his family, along with the fifty coins from Theresa. Lucy even gave him her personal savings of twenty five gold coins that she had accumulated over the years. In total, he had a hundred gold coins. He had a decent amount of wealth, all things considered. Buno respectfully saluted.
”Your will, my Lord.”
Lynn started to eat breakfast, but then realized that Lucy had yet to wake up. She could really sleep. As Lynn did not want to wake her up, he got the kitchen chef to prepare bread and milk for her. After he had breakfast, Lynn went out of the castle and stretched his limbs. The mountain village’s air was very fresh, and he felt life flowing through himself again.
Lynn ordered Buno to follow and prepare himself. Lynn found the five half-wolf warriors that were capable of further evolutions. They just needed more points to evolve. After two evolutions, they would need fifty points per unit. Lynn thought for a moment, and chose the two strongest ones and evolved them.
One hundred points were consumed in an instant. The evolved wolves became a lot more human-like with even less hair than before. Their backs also grew straighter, and with their silver hair and eyes they looked terrifying. The evolved wolves then began to talk.
”Thank you, my master,” says the two wolves while kneeling down.
Lynn told them to stand and tested their strength. Turns out that the newly evolved wolves could handle two or three of the lesser wolves. Amazing! With these two monsters, today’s travel would be very smooth. It looks like everyone was ready, so Lynn took them to the base of the mountain. The goal for today was to get halfway up the mountain.
In Lynn’s mind was a holographic map that allowed him to find the location of the magical crop. Lynn was also looking around along the way. This was because the search skill could only find a single treasure, but that did not mean there was only one around. There may be other magic crops hidden in different locations. Lynn just had to find the crops and he would become rich! As they walked all kinds of delicious and non-poisonous fruits were collected, but no treasures were found.
It was close to noon when the group arrived at their location. There was danger all around them as beasts were lurking in the surrounding area. However, Lynn did not panic and went straight forward. Lynn did not have to worry about his security because of the half-wolves. A tiger roared nearby, and they soon came into view. Lynn ordered two warriors to deal with them.
After he ordered them to do so, Lynn picked up some grass and noticed a large piece of golden wheat. Lynn was very happy! There was more magical wheat than he had imagined, and it could be planted without any modifications! This would save a great amount of time! Lynn ordered his entourage to start loading the wheat, when he casually looked around. It was then that he noticed a few mushrooms in the distance.
They were ruby red with an ominous pattern on top. Yet, they seemed to faintly radiate magical energy. Lynn’s breath became very heavy at the very sight of them. Magic potions! These were real magic potions!
