Chapter 41: Heavenly Sword Slays Demon Saints, Executes Immortals to Kill Endlessly!
Dijun urgently conveyed a message to Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot, instructing them to immediately retreat from the borders of Buzhou Mountain in a resounding voice. As soon as his command was issued, Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot were overcome with dread, realizing the mistake of setting foot in that dangerous place. They regretted venturing into the territory of Buzhou Mountain.
It was widely rumored that atop Buzhou Mountain stood an enigmatic and terrifying statue, one who had once defeated Sanqing, Dijun, Donghuang Taiyi, Nuwa, and nine other Daluo Jinxians using the formidable power of nihilistic sword energy. Before this moment, Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot had only heard tales of this. Still, they could feel a formidable aura of Primordial Unity enveloping them, rendering them breathless.
This, however, was merely a consequence of Ye Xiu casting a fleeting glance towards Buzhou Mountain. The Saint of Primordial Unity could obliterate countless ancient stars with a single gaze, capable of unraveling the very fabric of the cosmos.
In contrast, Xihe and Changxi, upon sensing the overwhelming and expansive aura of Primordial Unity surrounding them, were awed by the immense pressure and thrilled at the prospect of their lord’s presence.
“This is unmistakably our lord’s aura!” Xihe exclaimed excitedly. “Our lord has truly graced Mount Buzhou with his presence.”
After confirming that the person they sought was indeed on Mount Buzhou, their excitement overshadowed their fear of being locked in by the terrifying aura of a Hunyuan saint.
But there was no sight of Zhoushan. Ye Xiu remained indifferent to the commotion at the base of Buzhou Mountain. He stated, “Heavenly Lord’s disciple, attend to the disturbance at the mountain’s foot and restore peace to Buzhou Mountain.”
Buzhou Mountain, formed from Pangu’s spine, served as the sacred dojo of the Hunyuan Saints and could not be marred by worldly disturbances.
The Heavenly Lord’s disciple promptly acknowledged, “I will follow your command.”
At that moment, the Heavenly Lord had been deeply engrossed in understanding the Zhu Xian Sword Formation but had to interrupt his contemplation due to the commotion below the mountain. Consequently, the Heavenly Lord’s current mood was slightly irritable.
Having immersed himself in comprehending the Zhu Xian Sword Formation’s deadly art, the Heavenly Lord’s aura had become sad and menacing. His eyes radiated a piercing sword-like light, cutting through the vast expanse of space as he peered down the mountain.
He spoke indifferently, “Who dares to cause trouble at Buzhou Mountain? Let’s see who is so impatient.”
As his penetrating gaze swept over the area, the identities of those causing a ruckus became evident. Besides Xihe and Changxi, two formidable entities from the Yaozu were present: Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot.
Bai Ze, resembling a human, exuded an immortal air. Typically, he carried himself with grace, but now, the hand holding his feather fan trembled uncontrollably, his face marked with intense fear.
Ghost Chariot, the nine-headed bird, had taken on a human form. He possessed a sturdy build and exuded a heroic demeanor. The Fangtian-painted halberd in his hand quivered slightly, and his eyes betrayed a sense of trepidation.
At this moment, they found themselves trapped by the overwhelming coercion from Buzhou Mountain, rendering their bodies immobile and slowing their magical powers. They were like helpless fish on a chopping board, awaiting their fate.
Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot attempted to plead for mercy, but before they could finish their words, thunderous and resonant sword chants erupted from the mountain, drowning out their voices completely. They were denied even the opportunity to express their remorse.
In an instant, a brilliant sword light materialized out of thin air, leaving them no chance to anticipate the impending doom. The swiftness of their demise was beyond their wildest imagination.
At that moment, thirty-three heavens above, within the Monster Race Heaven, Dijun and Eastern Emperor Taiyi were equally dumbfounded. They had forgotten to breathe, their expressions frozen, and their eyes mirrored shock and dread.
They, too, couldn’t react in time. The second of the top ten demon saints, Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot ended abruptly. The realization that they were gone left them shocked.
Moreover, the Heavenly Lord raised his hand, sword intent surging, and swiftly descended from Buzhou Mountain, executing Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot’s primordial spirits. The execution was swift and ruthless.
Dijun and Donghuang Taiyi exchanged bewildered glances, struggling to find words to convey their feelings. The loss of Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot, who possessed formidable combat prowess and were vital assets to the Yaozu Heavenly Court, was a heavy blow. They had been instrumental in the establishment of the Heavenly Court.
Now, they had met their end on Buzhou Mountain, their primordial spirits obliterated. Revenge seemed impossible, leaving Dijun and Dong Huangtai with no choice but to suppress their anger.
“My brother, if you wish to establish a divine marriage, there’s no need to limit yourself to Xihe and Changxi. Other female immortals could be suitable,” Eastern Emperor Taiyi attempted to console Dijun.
Dijun couldn’t help but roll his eyes at the untimely advice. Why bring this up now, after the demon saint Bai Ze and Ghost Chariot had lost their lives for nothing? It was a situation of losing not only one’s wife but also one’s army.
