Chapter 52. The Enemy Magician Appears! Lynn’s Bombardment of Magic!

In the main hall of Frost Maple City, Theresa was wearing a luxurious long dress. Sitting across from her was a man in his forties. This person was the Marquis of Trellen. The man looked at Theresa and began to talk.

”You do not seem to worry about Lynn’s victory or defeat.”

”He said he would win,” Theresa replied.

After hearing these words, the Marquis smiled.

”It is a good thing to have confidence, but there are fifteen hundred well equipped warriors on Klizi’s side as well as the magician the Kyle family paid for.”

Theresa glanced at the man.

”How much did the Kyle family pay you to hold me to prevent protecting Lynn’s life?”

”I admit that I had a deal with them, but they gave me things that gold could not buy.”

There were no emotions in Theresa’s eyes as she looked towards Lynn’s direction. The Marquis did not speak, but quietly sat and waited for the outcome of the war. On the outside of Maple Leaf, there was a one sided battle happening that had shattered everyone’s expectations. No one even imagined that victory would fall into Lynn’s lap. The half beast warriors were too fierce!

As of yet, Lynn had fifteen warriors who had been evolved five times, and they attacked with an anger that was far beyond what these ordinary legions could stop. Originally, the pikemen was the best unit to deal with an enemy charge, but the offensive method of the warriors was really incredible! They would treat the dead enemy soldiers as stones and throw them into the array of pikemen. This was the first time anyone had dealt with such a method!

In this world, aside from the army formed by warriors, a regular army would almost always advance in a box formation with the cavalry constantly hacking and killing enemy soldiers. When the enemy tried to flee, the cavalry would swarm up and hunt them down.  Yet, with Lynn’s legion there were no rules of engagement. Piles of dead bodies emerged on the soldiers side.

The cavalry who origianlly occupied favorable terrain could charge, however Klizi was arrogant and thought that Lynn with his three hundred half beasts was not a worrisome problem. Se, he let them approach and left no room for his cavalry to attack. The result of this was a bloodbath on Klizi’s side.

The warriors were not only powerful, but were driven by anger and shredded almost all of the enemies they encountered. The stench of blood even drifted to the noses of the noblemen who were off in the distance. The once brown land had been dyed in red.

From the begining of Lynn’s offensive to the present, none of the nobles could speak. Klizi who was originally standing at the high point ready to enjoy victory had a flush face with nausea. His grandson had already hidden behind his army when the orcs had charged forward.

Lynn took a step forward with a calm air. During the previous battle there were soldiers from the enemy’s army who could cause casualties to the half beast warriors, but this time the fifteen friendly warriors who were rank five quickly smashed and decimated the strong. Even the rank five warriors were not needed, as a rank four warrior would have been enough to deal with them.

Many lords did not have this kind of strength, and with Klizi being a Viscount, he had no such soldiers who could deal with this kind of enemy. Lynn rode a horse and calmly rose over the enemy’s corpses in a pool of blood. The sound of thunder and lightning flashed by and traveled along the ground towards Lynn.

”Magic?!” The nobles exclaimed

Klizi’s army actually had a magician who hid his body and launched a sneak attack on Lynn! Yet, his complexion did not change. Through his hard work and determination, Lynn was able to control magic in a quick manner. Even if the other party attacked first, Lynn could conjure a spell almost instantly.

A  small spark of Fury blocked Lynn’s right side and collided with the Thunder. An explosion sounded out. Lynn quickly rose away from the center of the explosion and made sure his vision was unimpeded. The attacking party also stood up and gathered his lightning again. On the battlefield, as long as you kill the other party you would live. It was just the truth of war.

The purple lightning snaked around and treacherously culled towards Lynn. He held the hilt of his sword and the mana in his body surged. Instantly, a spark of fire blocked the opponent’s attack. A roar resounded over the surrounding area as the opponent launched another attack. Lynn resisted again and his face turned slightly more serious.

”He has more mana than I do, so he will not run out of mana before me.”

Lynn quickly made his judgement on the battlefield. The opponent’s attacks persisted as he wanted to use more magic power to crush Lynn. For magicians, their battles were magical fights. After experiencing the first shock, the nobles also discovered that Lynn’s mana was not as large as the opponent’s. In the eyes of a noble girl, there was a little regret. Lynn who was clothed in a white attire and a white horse was very handsome, and it almost seemed like he captured girls’ hearts. Unfortunately, Lynn was going to die.

Right then, Lynn launched a counterattack. Under the blessings of the sword, Lynn’s Starfire Fury was stronger than the opponent’s Lightning magic. Lynn condensed enough magic to disperse the snaking lightning and manipulated it to rush towards the opponent. However, the other magician suddenly used another magic!

A sword clad in lightning directly split the fireball. It was Thunder Swordsmanship! The top magic of the first order Lightning System. This was also amazing, as the opponent had been hiding a powerful magic to counterattack Lynn who seemed desperate. He split Lynn’s Starfire Fury and was about to fight back when a piece of magic plunged into his face.

The magician’s body was fragile and the powerful flame magic caused the magician to scream. Within a moment, he fell to the ground and became a scorched corpse. All the items held by the nobles fell one after another.

”What just happened?” One person shouted.

”How could Lynn’s magic be so fast?!”

”No, it was not fast. He… seemed to be controlling two spells at the same time?!”

”He broke the standards of fighting between magicians… Oh my God, even with his mana pool being less he still won?!

”How can that be…”

These ideas all appeared in the nobles’ minds at the same time. Klizi, who was watching the battle from a distance, could not bear the reality that his assassin was killed by Lynn in such a fashion. Finally, his eyes rolled to the back of his head as he fell ill and passed out.

Lynn walked up to the magician with his sword and pierced his heart. Then, Lynn sheathed the sword and continued to walk towards the battlefield. The enemies’ morale had been shattered as they realized that their magician was killed by Lynn, who was weaker than him. They all began to flee out of fear.
